    Hi Mindy, after your review I knew I was making the right choice buying the Supreme v3 now that there's a EOFY sale! Put you down as a reference when asked after my purchase. All the best!

    Hi Mindy!! Just stumbled upon your channel and I love the honest review!! However, I've used a few cheaper office chairs myself and I feel that stiff office chairs arms are considered a good thing, it shouldn't be too flimsy if not it feels cheap and doesn't provide enough support when you rest your arm/shoulder weight on it. Nice pointing out the sharper lumbar tension lever at the back, have to give it a try irl. Would you say the quality of the fabric mesh is comfortable and would hold its elasticity and shape for many years? Thanks for the review :)
    P.S. I'm either looking at purchasing this, or the SecretLab Titan Evo 2022 or the Hinomi H1 Pro since they are all around the $500-$600 price range, are you planning to review those?

    • @mintmindy
      @mintmindy  2 года назад +2

      Yea, agree with you on that chairs need to feel SOLID for that good support. The open mesh of ErgoTune will DEFINITELY withstand one's weight for years to come - as you can see i have been quite rough on the chair, and it's stand up WELL against my abuse
      Ooooh - you might really wanna try out the chairs first before getting them! I've tested out Secret Lab on many occasions - and while they look AWESOME (especially the harry potter design..) - there isn't much lumbar support for me? and it's a bit too stiff (i'm referring to the seat cushion) and the seat is not bouncy enough for me. Although, Secret Lab does sell lumbar pillow ($60-99) which does help. But if you're someone who's dealing with back aches and is looking for something in the 500-700 price range - i'd definitely recommend something like ErgoTune - cuz the design does really help support the neck and the back.
      Probably not reviewing those anytime soon - but gonna do a ET vs Herman Miller vs Steelcase chair comparison video - see which is the most worth it ;D Think some of you might be into that!

      @@mintmindy You’re welcome Mindy!! After trying our various chairs around this price point, I think I’ll still go with the Ergotune V3 simply because of my setup without air con at home, being used to chairs with full mesh, and the ergonomic adjustable features (my most fav one being the multi-angle 5D armrests)!! I’ve tried the SecretLab Titan Evo 2022 and it’s a good chair, excellent for reclining and firm with good support, but I prefer a seat and back with more bouncy support and more adjustable armrests and headrest.
      So prolly gonna go with the ErgoTune V3 and wait until there’s a good sale!!

      Which ikea office chair r u using? I used the ikea jarvfjallet for about a year before returning it and buying the ergotune supreme coz that chair's lumbar support is too hard and it caused lower back pain for me, and also the armrests r just garbage on that chair.

    Hello there, stumbled across your video as I'm researching Ergotune chairs. I also viewed an older review video by Shawn Koh on Dec 2020.
    The armrest was tweaked to be more firm, I guess, on v2, based on feedback such as from Shawn Koh, who commented towards the end of the review, that it was too loose and it slipped when he was resting his elbow on it.
    I agree with the separation gap between lumbar support and back support. This might be a major concern for me.
    Perhaps the chair can have a knob that can adjust how tight the turning of the armrest could be?

      I've been using the Ergotune Supreme for about 3 months now and I'm loving it so far. The lumbar support is super comfy and supportive for me. I'm using the older version of the Supreme tho with the updated armrests and headrest, so I can't comment anything about the new lumbar support on the V3.

    What size is your Supreme chair? I got the smallest one for my height and the arm rests are still too high for me, my neck feels somewhat strained.

    In the first part of the video I thought "That chair doesn't seem worth $600 (USD?)," but I do like the head/neck support, and the twelve year warranty is impressive. I'm glad that you pointed out that this chair shouldn't be compared to the super-pricey Herman Miller chairs. Buying a $500-600 chair is definitely a better investment than buying a cheap chair and having to visit a chiropractor.

    any tips to adjust the lumbar support? i'm already on the lowest tension setting but it still feels too firm for my back, how do u make it comfortable for u?

    • @mintmindy
      @mintmindy  2 года назад +2

      Perhaps, you might wanna adjust your seat depth 3:45 - so that it doesn't feel like the lumbar is pushing against your back?

    • @mintmindy
      @mintmindy  2 года назад +2

      let me know how it goes!

    • @courage_living
      @courage_living 2 года назад

      @@mintmindy hi thanks for the advice, I learnt that perhaps since everywhere is customisable I might need to experiment and tweak changes here and there. I adjusted the lumbar to a lower setting, and for the past hours I've been adjusting the knob on the right so that it doesn't stop me kind of leaning down? So in a way it reduces tension on the lumbar support too. Hopefully it gets more comfortable after a few days. Hey, may I also ask is the top of the chair actually meant for neck rest instead of head rest? I'm very unfamiliar with neck rest and no matter how I tried to use it as head rest, it feels weird. Since it's protruding out, I feel like it's stopping me from lying on it when I try to treat it as a head rest.

    • @mintmindy
      @mintmindy  2 года назад +1

      @@courage_living At first, I was not comfortable with the head rest as well since it was my first time using one. With all my previous chairs, I don't use headrests. But, during the period of testing the chair, I did try to use the head rest - and because it could protrude out to the exact position I want - it was a nice neck rest for me when I'm sitting up straight and working. But I still lean forward a lot when I'm working (which I'm still trying to correct).
      But it's your body - what works for me may not work well for you! So, if you don't like the headrest or if it just isn't comfortable for you, you can just remove it (I believe there might be some instructions on how to do that).

      As an ErgoTune Supreme V2 user for over a year now, the Hinomi H1 Pro seems to be more worth it tbh. Not that the ErgoTune is bad, but the H1 Pro just seems to offer more features than the Supreme.
