@@georgiemae11 well I'd say if your wanting something to mount to a table the Triton is probably your best choice as they are specifically de for that with the above table adjacent system. 😊

Hi Jonathan, I don't really use the micro adjustment, think it's a bit fidely to be honest. In regards to the machine itself and the bits I think they are spot on, I've being using this beast far more than my palm router lately. 😊
Hey Karl. Literally just been to screwfix this morning and ordered a new router.... My router table router has been on its last legs for a while and finally blew its motor yesterday. I've got one of those fences on my other router (though I rarely ever use the fine adjuster)..... But, once you've set your fence in the right ballpark, it works by unlocking one set of the lock screws... Dialing in your fine adjustment.... and the locking it back off.
I would be planning to use this in a router table. Unsure if the power on switch requires it always to be operated by hand, ie squeezing the trigger? Or if the lock on keeps the power going to allow for use in a table. Yes, I'm new to this lol Great video showing all the features, looking forward to using this.
Yes this model requires the switch to be constantly pressed, if its for a router table I'd recommend the triton as it has a lift and can be switched on without holding the trigger constantly. 🙂
@@karlpopewoodcraft I just bought this router, and was confused. I thought that the lock was to lock it on, to be used with a table. I don't know if I should send it back, or tape the on switch up to keep it turned on. I bought it to use with a table. What do you think? 🙁
@@karlpopewoodcraft Hello again. Looking at this router which I just unboxed, looks like not a good idea to tape the button on, to use with a table. So my question is, could I use this router with raised panel bits? It seems more challenging without a table, but if it's possible, then I'll not send it back. Thanks.
@@fretboardfodder1037 I'd send it back mate, sounds to much like a lot of farthing around. Triton is pretty decent for a router table there designed specifically.
Personal review after use of it : power is OK, plunger springs needs a bit of oil to works well. The locking mechanism for the motor is just a mess. First problem : the "base" is not perpendicular with the motor. Unscrew hex screw on edges of the base then hammer it (I found a car valve that fit perfectly into the router (8mm queue) and it's perpendicular). Not perfect now but I have to work :p Second problem : the locking system works but the other side has a lot of play. So if you push a little bit with you right hand, you make a hole. Idem with rolling bits, be gentle. Maybe a tube of brass/copper will fix it. So, for every hobbyist (as me) that wants a router : If I can have a perpendicular base and fix the movement on right (around 3mm), I can recommend it for low budget. But definitively a cheap machine
Hi mate I think with machines at this end of the budget it's definitely hit and miss which one you pick up from the shop. The only issue i seem to have is the locking mechanism it can slip and you have to carful when applying pressure. Cheers for your feedback mate.

You can table mount it but you'll need to make the fixing hole a little bigger and bolt it to your table plate !I had mine in a trend table for a month!
What size are the guide bushes that came with it?
Hi Steyr 16mm and 30mm.
Would you know the distance between the 12.5 blade and the outside of the 30mm bush? I want to use it in a jig but I want to make sure I buy the correct one . Thanks
@@ffa556 hi Steyr I will have a look for you tomorrow. 😊
karlpopewoodcraft thanks Karl
Thanks ! Fine adjustment is ugly in my opinion : you have to release the guide, so it move as hell ! and move also during reset of screws on it. Fine adjustment works, but you can't fix it.
Totally agree with you mate, I'm not keen on the fine adjustment. The best thing for me is its power, kicks but on slabs 😂💪
@@karlpopewoodcraft For sure ! I will try to put it under table. Not as nice and quick as with a triton but for amateurish job...
Your one is already precise in cut ? (it's the risk with "cheap" machine...)
Great review, I got this exact router last week for cutting a new worktop. Have you any recommendations for cutting a worktop?
Thanks 👍
Cheers Scott, ye id recommended using a jig such as the trend one amzn.to/3B9IZsP
Also make sure you have good quality cutters and just double check everything before making the cuts.
@@karlpopewoodcraft thanks for the fast reply, would the good quality cutters prevent the worktop chipping. Cheers
@@tealgiant4983 ye that's the idea mate. 😊
How would this work on solid oak? Any good?
Yes mate, I use this router regularly on hardwood it's got more than a enough power. Make sure you buy decent bits though because those cheap sets off ebay are rubbish and the bearings break.
very nice! i think you should give it away as 1000 subscriber give away and i think it will be given to the first person to comment from Hawaii . 😄
Great idea 💡🤔🤔 unfortunately my wife said no, I tried my best to convince her but no sorry. 😂
@@karlpopewoodcraft well, if your wife said no, then you have no choice! LOL
