If you have a waterproof camera with a long stick attachment, definitely bring it on your zodiac excursion. I brought mine on a whale watching tour when I went to Maui and was able to reach over the side of the boat and film a baby humpback whale swimming underwater. It was so cool!

I know how you feel, Sherri. I have a fear of depths, and the opportunity came up to walk across the Capilano Suspension Bridge in Vancouver 11 years ago. My initial reaction to the offer was "&#$^ NO!!!" But then I thought about it, and made the decision to do it. I had the choice to not do it at all and miss the experience. I had the choice to cross a safe bridge in a state of fear and make it a bad experience. I had the choice to cross a safe bridge, and to be OK with the fact that I might be uncomfortable. As the date approached I felt both apprehension and anticipation. I was feeling proud of myself for saying yes. And a few months later, I was standing at that bridge. I was uncomfortable, and I was OK with it. I had Elton John's song The Bridge in my ears as I crossed it. I was smiling and crying all at once, for joy. It was a pivotal event for me, and I have zero regrets about facing my fear of that bridge. What you resist, persists. What you face, dissolves. Have a fantastic time on that Zodiac! 😘♥

It may help allay Sherri's concerns. It was a great excursion, and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. We didn't see whales, but we did see other wildlife. You'll love your jackets--they're really nice. Just wait for your check in. When I went, it was just a small area with a couple of tables and people waiting to check you in. So simple and quick. You're going to have an amazing time!
Sherri, I completely understand your fear regarding the Zodiac but please don't worry. Seabourn excursion staff are extremely safety conscious and experienced and there is no way they will do anything that would put you at extreme risk. You're going to love it!
I am proud of Sherri. iSherri will get the biggest dopamine hit ever from the Zodiac excursion. being out of our comfort zone slightly is the best !!! So So eciting!!

We did the Zodiac in Alaska…incredible! We also did the kayaks & it was an amazing experience. Highly recommend both!
