Enjoyed your video, not a lot of unnecessary chatter, like some other channels, and you get right to it while giving your viewer some credit for having some ability..thanks
I made this a couple nights ago and absolutely we loved it and so simple !!!! I kept thinking I was leaving out steps !!! This will become a regular go to !!!
That is so good to know. I am definitely going to do that the next time I make it. Do you recall what type of apples you used? Thanks so much for watching and commenting!! Caren
I use Comstock brand apple pie filling, made by Duncan Hines, and it is like the one in the recipe. I once bought apple pie filling from Dollar General, the Lucky Leaf brand, and it was gloppy and sticky. This is a 👍great recipe. Thanks, CC!😃
Now that you mention that, I do like Comstock brand better and I have used that before also if the store I am shopping at has it. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!! Caren
Thanks for the comment, Bill, and for subscribing! I love this recipe when I am tired and it is so simple and fast and tastes good. If you have time, you should try my queso recipe, it isn't like the average salty cheesy velveeta queso and it makes so much that it is really good with holiday parties coming up. When I make it, after it's done, I will put in large crockpot on lowest setting to keep warm all thru the party. Everyone loves it and it doesn't last long. Enjoy!
I need to stock up on these ingredients since it's so simple and would be an easy go to meal during this time while we try to stay home. Thanks for watching and commenting!!
I used the LuckyLeaf brand and I believe I bought them at Walmart on the aisle where they have the baking stuff and graham cracker crusts and other canned pie filling. Thanks for watching!
That's why I love it....takes just a couple of minutes to prepare and get in the oven, and my husband loves it so it's perfect to make when I don't want to spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Thanks for watching and commenting! Caren
Definitely, you can do this any way you like. There is just something so nice about the little bit of sweetness with the apples and the pork. My husband likes this dish and it is almost zero work for me because it is so easy so it's a Win Win for me ;) Thanks for watching and commenting!! Caren
No, I used to rinse meat such as chicken pieces, etc, before using, but I either read an article or saw it on a cooking show that whatever you think you are washing away is all thru the meat and that you actually spread or contaminate more by "washing" it first. They said the cooking process will kill any bacteria. Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@ccjohnson6798 I read and heard the same thing. However, I still like to wash if it's a bone in piece of meat because of the grainy bone stuff left behind on the meat after being cut/sliced.
Hope to try soon. Looks delicious, but even better is that your video was only 5 minutes long, *AND NOT* 5 lifetimes, 5 decades, 5 years, 5 months, 5 days, 5 hours and 5 seconds long
I had a can of apple pie filling for years and never knew what to do with it.....until today! Its in the oven now! Thanks!
@@hikikomori_trader that's wonderful.....thanks so much for watching and commenting!!

This is my go to when I can't think of anything and don't have energy to cook and my husband always likes it. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I made this using real peeled sliced apples instead of the pie filling. It turned out great!
That is so good to know. I am definitely going to do that the next time I make it. Do you recall what type of apples you used? Thanks so much for watching and commenting!! Caren
I used Macintosh apples @@ccjohnson6798

P.S. I used Stove Top dressing for pork, and it made a delicious flavor with the pork. I might leave off the salt, next time.
Thanks, I'll try that next time too!
im gonna make this.. just wondering what vegetable to go with it ? maybe green beans !?! humm..
I like green beans with it...I also love broccoli or asparagus. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!! Caren

Seems not too hard to make this. thank you.....I will make it.
btw, I love cats too....:)
Very good, but it took over an hour to cook at 350.
I want to figure out how to make it in the Instant Pot. Y’all have any suggestions?
Can you do this in a crockpot?
what about searing the meat first? would that be a good idea?
I'm sure it would be delicious if you browned the pork chops on each side first for some color and flavor.
I am making this next..
I hope you enjoy...thanks for watching and commenting!! Caren
was the porkchop tender? You did not check it
What brand of apples do you use? because the ones I find are always a gloopy, sticky mess and I don't want that

Idk if I could get into the apples. Perhaps, just cream of mushroom or something instead.
