I made this last night& had it with green beans (from my garden)& mashed potatoes (Bob Evan’s-I think they’re better than my own, sorry to all of the people that love to do things from scratch all the time). It was so good! Reminded me of the meals my mom used to cook. Total comfort food. I made it as is. Followed your directions exactly. Thank you for this great recipe!!

Great recipe, but I'd use boneless chops. Hate messing with bones in a casserole, but that's just me.

Thank you for the recipe; I've made similar, but without soysauce & the spices you used. It looks WONDERFUL especially with those beautiful taters. I also love green beens. I love to cook, bake, & make candy, & I'm proud I come from a family of good cooks but since my hubby passed I don't cook like I used to so these great simple, nutritious, & inexpensive recipes are great. Thank you for sharing especially to the younger generation, to keep the art of cooking good ole "Stick to the Rib" food. Who wears rubber goves to cook for their family? Even one of my aunties who was a germ-a-phobic didn't do that, but she did teach me at a early age to wash my hands like the surgeons do from the elbows down before cooking; that's how the ladies in momma's family did it. I'm 80 years young, a retired RN, & my last 10 years was in Public Health Senior Health/Home; then last years of my duty was in WIC/Healthy Moms-Healthy Kids/Hi Risk Infants/Children/home visits all over the county so I've seen lots of good & bad. One of the concerns was the loss of the skill to cook because it is easier (but more costly) to eat, & feed the kids fast foods. LOL! It used to be "my son the Doctor!" Now it's "my son the CHEF!" Please keep pushing good food, on a shoestring, & MS Nikki please stress to cook whatever you got in your pantry, and whatever pot you got to cook it in, & how to make substitutes things like how to make buttur milk if you don't have it on hand ( which I never did hated it). Some of these youtube cook shows push cooking tools that cost hundreds of dollars when these young moms are lucky they can make it from day to day. If they think they got to have a certain pan tell them to save up for it kinda like it was their birthday present or something. I realize folks are trying to earn a living with youtube, but I have also heard young moms say "Well, I can't make that food I don't have the right pots & pans to make it in." Heck I can remember my grandmother baking cakes in coffee cans. Again, keep on sharing your gift God gave you, young people need to learn how to cook, we need more MS Nikkis' 💖🍗🥩🍯🍼🥣🍦
