Why does either one have to be hated on even if you’re a Lewis or Max fan? The toxicity in this sport lately has made me want to leave when I’ve only just gotten into it in the first place

0:47 unbelievable control by Lewis. The kerb gave him a hint of oversteer. Lewis kept the momentum by simply neutralising the wheel and waited for the grip to come back before launching the car to the right.
(Best watch in slow motion you can see the car swinging around when Lewis corrects the oversteer)

NtsParadize I know that, but he didn't finish half a minute behind just because he carried less fuel, it was because he lacked pace. His balance was more oversteery than Alonso's and that's not what you want in a track like Silverstone.

That is what is so great about this era of cars. The tyres didn’t explode if you push, the cars were super light and aggressive meaning smoothness did not always equal quick. Today’s cars have so much downforce that being fast is about driving smoothly under the limit to keep a stable platform for the aero magic to work. And the tyres are so shit they are often managing temps even on qually laps. F1 now is so crap compared to these times

+Ron Sinson Lol you think maybe he knows what the difference is? If you watch the corner closely, when he talks about braking, he isn't able to get the car to turn in to the corner. The "oversteer" you're seeing is actually Lewis over-correcting by a millimeter before he gets the car back on the line he wanted. I agree that it definitely looks like oversteer, but you are funny trying to correct Lewis Hamilton :) I think he probably knows better than anyone what happened with the car at that moment, especially since he was driving it.
