  • Just used my A7s to film the comet on the 2nd night. The 14th of Oct
Moon was washing a lot out so I could not crank the A7s up.
But still was nice and peacefull

If you stack your pictures of that time lapse in software like deep sky stacker and then process it, you could get a pretty awesome final picture. Few of us are lucky enough to have darker sky’s like that. I don’t know if this was all video Timelapse though. I wasn’t paying that close attention. It would need to be raw format pictures to do that.

The comet is much harder to see now with naked eyes, but I can still see it in my 7x50 binoculars here in Florida. A much better view in my 20x80s. Any telescope 3" or 50mm and up will show it too.

    Very cool! Thanks for sharing.
Pertaining to your "scannerguy" name, were you a scanner operator in the graphics business? I used to operate a Crosfield scanner back in the day.
