My daughter and her husband bought me ZWO SeeStarS50 for christmas and will be using it tonight 2/1/2025 here in Cheshire uk. l will taking the seestar on holiday with me abroad hopefully to some dark skies. Great images thank you .
Good job! One thing you may want to demonstrate is what you get out of your time investment. Show an image you may have processed with 500 subs, then show the same image at 1000, then 2000. This would encourage others to committing to spending time on select targets and then they can see the changes for their time investment.
I have the Seestar too. This system is revolutionizing astrophotography. And even those who thought you had to pay 10,000 to take good pictures are now biting the carpet! :) Wonderful video! Thank you very much! Greetings from Germany!
@@PhotonRookie-vk7ge I just got one for christmas, first thing i pointed it at was orions belt, my jaw dropped. i didnt believe it was real at first. i do feel like its cheating, but my god, at some point i just have to let go and stop caring and accept that im able to do these amazing things . they may be gone soon. also how on earth did you get saturn? every planet ive point at is a bright white dot even with manual focusing.
you may have a point here, but there is no need to invest 10,000$. but if you do, you will get 100x better images than out of a seestar. of course, this comes with a steep learning curve too.

I came again to this video and was mesmerized by this amazing video … the beauty of the universe, layered by awesome music. Please help me to decide between seestar and Dwarf 3. The high resolution and zoom of the seestar is what I like, whereas the ability of the dwarf to take wide as well as self guiding birding videos etc is what I like. Thanks a lot.
@@jimwimmer3490not sure which. I have dwarf 1 and 2. Both used one time for a week and gave up. Hence I am not sure dwarf 3. But based on others it seemed it is a wild field. I just not sure about the company iOS software. May be 3rd time lucky.
Deep sky observation brings serenity and peace of mind. Let's use the technology at our hands (I mean for everyone) to focus on what is great and important in a human life. I hope in the coming months, I will be able to obtain similar images if the weather with me. I will try the processing software. Planets image are not spectacular, however they are much better than the one I have just taken during a single night. I have also tried Orion nebula (no problem, your's is nicer) and the Rosette nebula (mine is fainter while yours is nicer).
This hobby is addictive. I've found myself disliking the clouds and the moon a lot. :p I have a lot of time on my hands and when possible, leave the Seestar out imaging all night. Time on target is the biggest factor. Thank you for watching.
Astrophotography just become viable for many amateurs. Doesn't break the bank and produces amazing pictures. Great for galaxies, nebs cluster etc but for planet's it'll capture them seeing it's a f4/f5 won't be as good as the f10+ scopes. But my main joy is looking at galaxies etc and now I can capture them in all their glory.
I have used the seestar s50 about 12 times. At first I did not give it enough time, so last 4 times I did, but in my area(actually my yard), i only have one good area in space I can have clear view without moving scope to middle of my land. I havent tried different processing yet. Was able to get a pretty good Andromeda galaxy, scarey face nebula, and dumbell. Saturn taking snapshot could see ring, but no seperation. Yours look great. Average person would think nasa took those.
What fantastic images. I too own the Seestar S50, and would love to get images like yours. Here in Wales, UK, and also retired, so much time but so few clear skies. I will follow you with interest. Great job!!
Amazing photos. I am seriously considering buying one of these but im a total noob. Worried i wont be able to capture images this good, is the workflow easy enough for a beginner ?

Asking as a complete newbie, why is that? Is there something that can be done with this setup to better image the planets? I'm looking to get into astrophotography with my kids and considering this camera especially after seeing some of these images but I guess I just don't know enough yet to know what may be better for closer objects.

That is a good question. I may be wrong, but I think the Deep Space Objects have a larger footprint (more degrees) than the planets do. Planets register as little more than stars. When looking at an image of a Nebula, it appears hundreds or thousands of times larger than the stars surrounding it. That is only my guess.
