Couple things you may consider. One of my drivers is strictly RGN and hauls all our big equipment like these. He would measure every single piece of equipment when he first started, so that way he knew everytime where to park for the right weight distribution. Also, there is a digital load system you can get installed called Right Weigh, or others similar to it. We use it at our company and the drivers love it and say it really really helps.
I wish you multiple trips with no issues, thanks for your transparency.

Put a digital scale on the truck and trailer so you always know how much weight is on the truck and trailer right weight makes digital scales for both truck and trailer

It will help if you put a air Guage on your drives that way you can know how much weight is on them without a scale trust me it helps

Also you can push the excavator more ti the back and swung the boom facing forward. Just gotta drop the boom as low as possible.
You should have your 4 way flasher on when you break down on the side of the road when it's nighttime
This your truck ? You should have simple cutting tools. Drills, sawsall etc battery operated too. And a built in generator or atleast a truck connected power inverter.
