    Had purchased Chess Principles Reloaded - Center. Just bought the other two on sale. That should keep me busy over the holidays.

    You make it look so easy… perhaps you could have a word or two with ‘Hanging Pawns’ and help him out!

      It is easy, it's an auto reaction to attack something for 1200s. Even the last move, attack a rook.
      When andras attacks pieces, it is done to improve his position or weaken his opponents. Not attack just to attack.

    I wonder who Hungarian was to first utter that cabbage saying? It was probably based on a real situation and he had know idea that the saying would flow through the ages let alone to this chess video.

    10:06 why did you take on g5 instead of nxc3 bxc3 be4 winning a rook?

    At 5:12 what about Qc7 to prepare e5 it seems more principled to me than Bh5 as we develop a new piece with Qc7

    You made mention of 'breaking symmetry'. Can you elaborate?

    • @ChessCoachAndras
      @ChessCoachAndras  День назад +1

      after cxd5 the pawn structure remains symmetrical. exd5 breaks the symmetry - making it a more fun position to play.

      exd5 is leading to the famous 'Carlsbad' structure which is extremely rich (give it a search on RUclips, lots of great stuff!)
