@@KoalityReactions OK, are you ready for this? I think one of the best part of lyrics and poems is that they are up to the interpretation of the listener and that everyone may interpret them differently depending on past experiences. To me Ever Dream is a song about true love, about longing to find that special someone. You really believe that they exist but you do not know how to find them. Every now and then you stop and wonder what it will be like when you find them. They will be the kind of person who is so perfect that they'll make every bit of hell you have had to go through worth it and then some. Floor does a lot of stuff solo, that she did during the pandemic. She was also on a Dutch tv show called Beste Zangers (Best Singers) that you should check out. Reacting to all of her songs on that show would be a good idea ;-).
Hi Jenna! We metallers on 40's are so glad listening reactions about metal music (the best music in all its several styles, forever) by people who are not in metal way. And yours is so good an shocking and... If you like nightwish you can listen "the poet and the pendulum' and " dead boy poem". Why?? Because the so great dark composer mind named Holopainen writes so different tragic poems with so sense and a lot of different parts in every song. And... People uses to cry listening these song at first time about the theme of lyrics, the intense voices and power mixed with calm. Maybe is a duel to listen these songs for someone who doesn't use to read metal lyrics and its powerful music. And you can read the mix of Holopainen different stories in his verses for to give them a concrete sense; he is a so dark poet mind who, almost everyone of us, he has read a lot of mythology and epic fantasy novels. Thanks for this reactions! Metal minds we appreciate you interest in our music without you demonized it. And yes: we miss Yukka (the so crazy drummer) and our hero Hietala. Floor is here again💪💪, no baddest demons can destroy her!! We think and hope Jukka and Hietala will be soon again!!Thanks you for these reactions, and if you dare with the song I wrote before... Take care for the emotion they give.🤘🤘
Marko and Floor are natural Sopranos. Sometimes they just overdub melody. Its so good that Marko has to end words so that you can even hear him, crazy good.
vocals + just piano = pretty... agree. The unplugged version of Pretty Reckless "25" is exactly that. The band is more hard rock and her vocals are smoky and haunting.
You should check 2 albums that were recorded with Floor: "Endless Forms Most Beautiful" (2015) and "Human Nature" (2020). The greatest with Nightwish is each album is full story that Tuomas wants to tell us. Each album has it's theme like Endless forms most Beautiful for example is inspired by theory of evolution and Richard Dawkins even reads an intro in the album :)
Ah, the Ol' Nightwish Double Header : the seductive power of a love-yet-to-be in Ever Dream --vs-- the 'chuck-this-f-in-the-bucket attitude of Romanticide. How love grows, explodes, agitates and goes off, screaming into oblivion. Should be a good time. Can't wait.
Good evening Jenna, my fav NW reactor😍...and greetings from Geordie NW Army. I ❤your style girl 😁. I'm sooo pleased you're continuing your NW journey. 'Fun' is a word you use often to describe this band, and it's exactly that...as well as being an amazing band, they always look like they're having fun up there on stage... All of this Wacken gig is fantastic, so it doesn't really matter what you choose next...🤘
Of course this song is going to mean something different to everyone, but for me you nailed the feeling. Love that's not yet blossomed, or may never be . It's been my favorite song since Tarja was singing it. That was a totally amazing reaction Koality 🤗Romanticide is the polar opposite of this song. It's about the end of love, and about a woman who wakes up from a toxic relationship.
Oh cool, I’m glad we felt the same about it! I loved the poetry in the lyrics. I’m excited to see a different side to Nightwish… Romanticide here I come. 😅

Gerat reaction! Floor considered this the hardest song she had to sing because of the extended high belts until they did the song Shoemaker off their most recent album Human Nature. On that album Tuomas said he wrote specifically to challenge Floor, Marko, and Troy's vocal abilities. In Shoemaker Floor has this incredibly complicated melody with rapid pitch changes and fast vocal lines plus an epic ending. When they first released the album, right before the pandemic hit, Floor had said she wasn't sure they could perform it live. But they did the work and there are some great videos of the band performing it live at Hellefest 2022 and Deichbrand 2022. Both are great but my favorite is the lyric video because the visuals, especially the ending add to the epicness of the song. The song is a tribute to Eugene Shoemaker, one of the founders of planetary science and the only human whose remains have been interned on another celestial body, the moon. It is also an epic ode to the human spirit of exploration. ruclips.net/video/Rjp_DfvJimg/видео.htmlsi=ekgemOcSF35MecFK. Yes Marko is an amazing singer. Others have mentioned some of the songs where he sings lead and they are all great but my favorite is one that is often overlooked and rarely reacted to. The song is Endlessness, also from Human Nature. It was the last song of Disc 1 from the album and is a fitting last song that Marko recorded with Nightwish. He left the band on good terms after the album's release for personal reasons. Song has never been played live and probably never will as it is a Marko song. Because the pandemic prevented the band from touring in support of the album they released lyric videos and one music video for all the songs on Disc 1. ruclips.net/video/DLFI7Cs7qmk/видео.htmlsi=HnVx7QI2UGnA_03T
Marko is a phenomenal singer you should hear his Phantom performed with Tarja the original singer and at Christmas you should look in to his work with Raskasta Joulua
At best, as a casual listener of Nightwish, there are few songs they perform that I could listen to everyday. Not just any ol' performance though, but rather a few from this show specifically. It's a 'lightning in a bottle' kind of performance because of who the personnel that was performing, the venue and the crowd preserved on one of the best live video performances I've ever been blessed to come across. There are bands that can succeed at plug and play with different personnel (like PMJ or Scary Pockets) but with the departure of Marco and Jukka that magic for will never be recaptured. Besides GLS, Nemo is the only other performance I'm in love with that was included in this setlist. That's not to say there is anything wrong with the rest of it, just sayin those three are my fav. So thank you for sharing your reaction to them.
Yep. There's the poet's intent, of course. And often, plenty of room to embrace and internalize your personal experience of this art - almost like that's a feature, not a glitch... Nice work, kiddo! Please continue. Cheers rl 🤘👹🤘
if you want to hear some more of Floors vocal talent you really need to listen to "yours is an empty hope" one min an angel the next a demon!!! Marco and floor singing together but listen out for the deep demonic growl and you guessed it Floor shows more of her vocal versatility

Jenna! I hope you are feeling OK? No facial muscle pulls? I was afraid your cheek bones were going to explode. You were smiling so hard. 😛 Your expression when Marko kicked in was priceless. …remember that moment when you discovered that he sings too! Floor and Marco harmonizing is a huge feature in a lot of Nightwish songs. Yes! Romanticize next! …and watch for the harmonies in that one! Maybe invest in a seatbelt before listening to that one. …it’s heavy! It also is fun! Marco and Floor play musical theater, going back and forth in that struggle that is real between the male and female in relationships. (and the humour - I went with the Canadian spelling. Looking out your window it looks like you are somewhere in Howe Sound, BC …not meaning to be creepy with the guess 😊) You will get the meaning of the song just by watching, but you might want to have the lyrics handy. This is a no holds barred ‘discussion’ in a strained relationship It’s a ‘Romanticide’ 😁
My cheeks aren’t broken, I swear!! 😅 Hahaha Yes, I’ll buckle up for Romanticide. Excited and nervous with anticipation!! 🎉 To be honest, I didn’t even know where Howe Sound was so I had to Google it… but it looks gorgeous so I’m jealous!
An awesome song with beautiful lyrics! Although I prefer Tarja's (you'll find out soon and then you' ll have heard the holy trinity of female symphonic metal voices i.e. Floor, Simone & Tarja, in alphabetic order) version from End of an Era concert, sweet reaction as always. Greetings from Greece!
soft maybe the subject is soft but this song has a awesome rhythms to it especially after marko and floor start harmonizing vocals after that it really takes off has a good faster drive cool outro too good pick
I really enjoy your reactions- "Ghost Love Score" was the first I'd see you do. Now it seems you've caught the Nightwish Fever, as any who really enjoy epic productions do. I like that you don't over-analyze during the song, (ie stopping every 2 sec...), and keep the majority for the end. You said to give you some recommendations? Here's one going the other way, if you've not already heard/analyzed him. Mr. Felix Irwan. I love original songs over cover songs the majority of the time? But if you're gonna cover someone else's song, make it your own, while keeping the important aspects, and parts you respect the most, intact. I believe Felix did this, with Adele's song. Here's the link to the best video to review, should you choose to do so. ruclips.net/video/LlcqsFOIRmc/видео.htmlsi=1_TKqT4Rdxk3p9Yu
Marko has an amazing voice and luckily for us, the fans, he sings quite often. Check out the song "The Islander" to hear more. Also, I think you're ready for "The Poet and the Pendulum ", followed by "The Greatest Show on Earth". If you want EPIC, you must give them both a listen. 😊
The Greatest Show On Earth (especially the Wembley version with Richard Dawkins) is to me more than a song, it's an experience. A 16-minute journey in heaven followed by the only four "we were here" that could make even an AI cry. Not even mentioning the surprise at the end.
@@KoalityReactions please wait on both of those there is so much to experience b4 Poet & Greatest Show,Wacken 2013 is the Gold standard for every song on the set list.
That chorus you talked about.... Yes, I think you've got it. It is about something I am sure that every man alive can remember from his younger self, growing up: Becoming totally, helplessly infatuated with a young woman (most likely a school classmate I would surmise) and realizing, if he is honest with himself, that it is a one-way feeling. She has perhaps not even noticed that he exists and, even if she did, probably would not feel reciprocally attracted. Yet, the infatuation feelings are so overwhelmingly strong that he must soothe his soul by imagining, in his dreams, that some day, some how, their souls will find each other. That "some how" might in some cases involve the professional writing of song lyrics in hopes that she might recognize they're love letters to her??? Hmmmm.....🤔🤔🤔 just saying to open that avenue of speculative thinking. While this is something I am sure men will understand at a very visceral and personal level, I have grown with age to understand that young girls probably have a very different experience of this same phenomenon when growing up that we similarly cannot ever truly grasp. It is an interesting topic.
Ooohhh so you’re implying the song was a love letter to someone! Innnnteresting. 😅 I actually think this is a universal feeling, not just something a young man feels! I think most people, regardless of sex or gender, can relate to a long lost love or pining for someone. That’s why the song felt so meaningful! Love is a tricky thing. Wonderful, but not always as straight forward or easy as anyone would like! 🤍
An afterthought on that "line of speculative thinking:" Go back and review the lyrics to Ghost Love Score with that thinking filter applied. The "ghost" is the figment of his imagination that he has been in love with and not the real woman (who is not interested). When he belatedly realizes this after wasting years of his life writing lyrics for her to sing back to him, he is broken and despondent... suicidally so (a theme which will rear its head in two other Nightwish songs you will no doubt encounter as you explore this rabbit hole of emotions!@@KoalityReactions
Everdream - when you suddenly realize that Nightwish had two elite world-class vocalists. At this point it should also be apparent that the reason your heart does flutters during their songs is that they have six virtuosos performing genius level compositions. Tuomas does not compose anything but masterpieces, and Floor has become a far better singer by the challenges Tuomas creates for her. If you'd like to discover a completely different world of that genius, give AURI a try. It's Tuomas, his wife Johanna Kurkela and Troy, another genius virtuoso multi-instrumentalist from Nightwish, playing a softer, gentle side of their musical genius. Bring your seatbelt for Romanticide, it's a world-class ride.
They have several songs where they sing together - and Oh My God how good they match, Marko and Floor. Please react to more Nightwish as You will notice that all songs are a unique experience than the previous. And the fact that Floor was just a hired temporary singer during this tour, replacing Anette during mid US-tour. She had been with the band about 9 months at this performance. She and Troy (their multi-instrumentalist) was offered a permanent place just short before this European leg of the tour, but it was not officially announced until the end of the year (2013).
Why random people must do commentar for singers, of the most talented female singer? Nobody ta youtube is even close to Floor and yet....all say so smart comments.
Marco is a beast.. You should listen to the original singer Tarja and Marco do The phantom of the opera. I love floor but Tarja's Phantom of the opera is so much better.
I'm glad you liked it, though I thought you would! I think that as good as this performance is, it doesn't get enough recognition because the sustained belting at such a high pitch is so, so difficult and requires both crazy control and power. I think I heard Floor herself say before that this is the most difficult (or one of the most difficult of their songs to sing). Marko seems to surprise everyone, and does blend very well with Floor. A lot of people will recommend a few other songs to hear Marko better, but my personal favourite Nightwish performance with him is the Phantom of the Opera cover I linked, where he sings with Tarja.
Yes I know! That’s why I said it felt so epic. I know how much control and power it would take to be able to belt like that, and sustain it. She’s incredible! It takes a lot of work to be able to use your vocal chords like that. In my own training, I still have a hard time. My throat felt tight listening to her. 😅 It really is something you have to practice to perfect! I’ll definitely check out Phantom of the Opera too! Very excited. ☺️

Floor does a lot of stuff solo, that she did during the pandemic. She was also on a Dutch tv show called Beste Zangers (Best Singers) that you should check out. Reacting to all of her songs on that show would be a good idea ;-).
Nightwish army Indonesia 🇲🇨
"Romanticide" next please. Great reaction. Loving your channel.
It’ll be next for sure! And thank you!
Take care for the emotion they give.🤘🤘
checkout HIGH HOPES a pink floyd tribute where marko is tghe only vocalist. best cover ever.
Yes, you are correct.
If I had to pick just one...
I cant pick up just one😏🤷♂️😢
If you like Marco voice you have to see Ghost River also from Wacken 2013
Ah, the Ol' Nightwish Double Header : the seductive power of a love-yet-to-be in Ever Dream --vs-- the 'chuck-this-f-in-the-bucket attitude of Romanticide. How love grows, explodes, agitates and goes off, screaming into oblivion.
Should be a good time. Can't wait.
LOL Damn. You set that up perfectly. Now I really need to hear it!!!
Marko is a vocal god
Nah, you'll LOVE Romanticide! I know it already.
If you're up for a challenge, jazz it up with Jinjer - Pisces!
😊🇫🇮💙🪄🎼✨💯🤘
So good...
@@KoalityReactions It's one of their heaviest songs. Marko plays the typical controlling narcissist and Floor is not having it any more 😁
Please, react to:
Guns N' Roses - Don't Cry - 1992 Tokyo
Guns N' Roses - Civil War - 1992 Tokyo
Guns N' Roses - Estranged - 1992 Tokyo
Guns N' Roses - Welcome to the Jungle - 2001 Rock In Rio
We need prime Axl Rose here! :) 😊
Another song were Floor and Marko sing together is Ghost River.
If you enjoy Marko's singing, you should check out Nightwish - While Your Lips Are Still Red.
So please tell us, when was your first Floorgasm? First, second or third song?
Should have just done a reaction to the entire Wacken concert! lol Great job as usual!
You think someone would want to watch me react to an entire concert in one sitting? Even I know I’m not that entertaining. 😂
Wait till you hear “Sleeping Sun” I think you’ll really love that one.
Marko is a phenomenal singer you should hear his Phantom performed with Tarja the original singer and at Christmas you should look in to his work with Raskasta Joulua
I was thinking I should do some holiday themes, so that’s perfect! Thank you!
Cheers

🤘👹🤘
Yes, loved that! Thank you. 🤍🤍🤍
if you want to hear some more of Floors vocal talent you really need to listen to "yours is an empty hope" one min an angel the next a demon!!! Marco and floor singing together but listen out for the deep demonic growl and you guessed it Floor shows more of her vocal versatility
please react gabriel henrique golden buzzer agt 2023 singer from brasil

Jou have to listen to Nightwish the islander , Marco solo , different but beautiful
Jenna! I hope you are feeling OK? No facial muscle pulls?
I was afraid your cheek bones were going to explode. You were smiling so hard. 😛
Your expression when Marko kicked in was priceless.
Looking out your window it looks like you are somewhere in Howe Sound, BC …not meaning to be creepy with the guess 😊)
You will get the meaning of the song just by watching, but you might want to have the lyrics handy.
This is a no holds barred ‘discussion’ in a strained relationship
It’s a ‘Romanticide’ 😁
My cheeks aren’t broken, I swear!! 😅
Hahaha Yes, I’ll buckle up for Romanticide. Excited and nervous with anticipation!! 🎉
To be honest, I didn’t even know where Howe Sound was so I had to Google it… but it looks gorgeous so I’m jealous!
Is that Marco strumming an electric base with a guitar pick, not plucking?🎉
An awesome song with beautiful lyrics! Although I prefer Tarja's (you'll find out soon and then you' ll have heard the holy trinity of female symphonic metal voices i.e. Floor, Simone & Tarja, in alphabetic order) version from End of an Era concert, sweet reaction as always. Greetings from Greece!
Aka FJBMC (Floor Jansen's Belting Master Class)
Check out Sabaton. Floors husband is the drummer.
soft maybe the subject is soft but this song has a awesome rhythms to it especially after marko and floor start harmonizing vocals after that it really takes off has a good faster drive cool outro too good pick
No not yet. Slow learning does perfection. But I totally agree that she is on the right path....... The Elvenpath😉
Yeah I’ve heard good things about those, I am so stoked!!! 🎉
The only one you missed is Ghost River. That's a perfect Marko performance for someone who enjoys a nice more rock like song.
🤘🤘🤩🤩🤘🤘
I actually think this is a universal feeling, not just something a young man feels! I think most people, regardless of sex or gender, can relate to a long lost love or pining for someone. That’s why the song felt so meaningful! Love is a tricky thing. Wonderful, but not always as straight forward or easy as anyone would like! 🤍
Yes, I never understood that when I was young, but now as a really old geezer, I have a deeper understanding of life!
@@KoalityReactions

Every time I watch a performance from Wacken 2013 with Floor, I think about how she wasn’t even officially a part of the band. It’s incredible!
