It wasn't a "You're a grown man so you shouldn't be afraid" kinda thing. It was noting the absurdity of the situation if you didn't know the context. I.e. you have a 40 year old man chained up in a warehouse screaming "PUMPERNICKEL. PUMPERNICKEL."

I always thought Q had the easiest punishments. This changes things a bit.
Nighttray the reason a lot of his punishment seem easy is because he has a lot of health problems.
***** mainly because Q used to be a firefighter and that probably had him develop a lot of health problems because being a firefighter is a dangerous and demanding job. So if it seems like his punishments are the easiest, for each Joker each punishment is very hard for them as a person. Like you may have wanted to go skydiving your whole life but for Murr it was an absolute nightmare. Or take me for example, I've had 3 cats for pets but for Sal that would be the worst day of his life and he'd be in hell because he has a crippling fear of cats.

I mean its good that these guys are lifelong friends and trust each other with their lives and they can bounce back from almost anything they do to each other. However, I personally would hate to be friends with these four. You don't know when they are gonna joke about putting your life in danger and when they're gonna actually do it for a joke.
@@hittingyouoverthehead to be fair, that’s what they signed up for. Everyone has to accept punishments, and none of the punishment have ever gone as far as to be anyone’s life in danger. Tarantulas are not any danger to humans, so Q really wasn’t in any danger. It would of only been dangerous if they put black widows or Browning spiders or something. And they all do it to each other anyways, like making Q deal with spiders, making Murr sky dive, giving disgusting punishments to Sal, so on,
@@spinoking9168 No I kind of disagree here. I think the punishments that they give Q and Murr (especially Murr) cross a line. Murr has to face his mortal fears like heights and sharks. Q has to face legit dangerous animals like alligators. Even Sal was put in a cage around bears and I think all of these cross a line. I've noticed however that Murr is the one who gets more punishments like these- skydiving, sharks, snakes, lie detector and more.
From what I understand, Murr is a good sport and laughs it off. Q on the other hand takes it seriously and he pursues revenge like he got Sal back with cat punishment and he also got revenge on them for making fun of his fireman career. My point is, good for them that their bond is strong enough to withstand all of this but personally, I would have felt like this is a toxic friendship if I were one of them and I'd have broken it off.

I completely agree. I dislike the punishments that actually frighten the joker - it makes me uncomfortable and I don't find it funny at all. It could be considered conquering a fear, but this isn't fear factor - what they're doing to Q is supposed to be funny, and it's not. It's mean-spirited at best and cruel at worst.

Meena Kaur, It was shown in an episode that Joe has a fear of ticking off his wife, Besides that, Joe really has no fear, So, He's kind of hard to punish, All of the other jokers have even said that Joe is the hardest joker out of all of the jokers to punish, Joe did admit in an interview though, The musician water tank punishment did get him and It even showed during the episode when that punishment had aired on TV, Sal also has a fear of cats, Because, He was attacked as a cat during his childhood years, Sal also has a phobia of garbage, Murr also has a fear of sharks, Joe also shares one of his other fear of heights with Murr, I don't know what else Q is afraid besides spiders, But, I do know teaching your parents sex ed as a punishment would be rough
Wouldn't say Murr's skydiving punishment or this one were ones where they "conquered" their fear. More like faced their fears. Conquering would imply that the fear no longer exists.

Sal has said in interviews that with each guy's fears or quirks, they all exaggerate it a little bit for television. So, that's why he runs from the guy in a cat outfit I think. He is always laughing when he runs from that guy, just not when he actually encounters a real cat.

In most punishments, the person being punished at least looks like he's having fun to some extent. In this, Q looks like he's genuinely terrified.
Murr was NOT having fun during the skydiving or prostate exam. Sal was NOT having fun being covered with cats or trapped in an elevator, Joe didn’t enjoy stealing baseballs from kids. The point of a punishment is to not be fun

Sal maybe didn't have "fun" picking up dog crap or getting peed on, but at least he wasn't yelling a safe word while his best friends laughed and refused to honor it.
I felt really bad for him in this one. You can see he had angry tears in eyes and was sweating a lot and deadly serious about getting them back. Probably the first time I've seen Q vulnerable in the whole show.

About time Q actually had a nasty punishment that's comparable with the others. His punishments, 90% of the time are a piece of piss to get through

Nah, those weren't too bad. At least not to me. Most of them had something to do with pain so I guess it depends on your pain threshold. The worst thing they've done (in my eyes) was getting naked in public. I'd die. But I think the absolute worst thing anyone could do to me is put suriname toads all over me. I love toads...just not those ones. I'd thunder punch someone in the throat.
In a podcast, Q said that after the labor pains punishment, his brain felt scrambled and he thought that he had a conversation with someone but he wasn't sure because the after effects. The labor pains challenge was actually electrical shocks so that was pretty rough. Don't forget, he was also dragged across the rodeo arena by his feet after being lassoed and had it rough during the town challenge when he was the sheriff. That was a lot of physical pain.
