Phenominal arrangement of an amazing piece! I especially love that you arranged the climax of the entire symphony. Keep up the amazing work Mr. Mackey.
My university’s wind symphony performed this at a concert last year just days before COVID happened and we all got sent home. This piece was amazing to play and I’m grateful we were able to hold that concert right before everything was getting canceled.
I played this last semester in sym band. It was so much fun. Completely different from anything I had played in high school. I also just noticed that this was uploaded on my 18th birthday.
Wyatt Sloan yeah, we had our first concert for this a few weeks ago, (we’re going to go out of state a few times to perform this) at it was so much fun. I played Trombone 3.
#SEMPER FIDELIS #QUA PATET ORBIS #JE MAINTAN DRAI ! ♫♪ great ♫♪♫♪♫♪☺ BRAVISSIMO @/bisbis 🎶🎵🎼 great music! a well tuned ensemble that sounds like an organ ! Fabulous banding! Compliments! #SEMPER FI #QPO #JMD🎵🎼🎼🎶🎵🥁🎺👌👌🙏🙏🎺
Thank you for reply. When I heard this first time, I confused because I have listened similar music. I know that this is an adaptation of ''Wine Dark Sea'' and I am convinced why I confused. That is ''Wine Dark Sea''! An adaptation change music!!! Sorry for my bad English. I will keep supporting you from Japan.
@@chyannedelbosque7180 it was certainly NOT easy and took almost three months for our band to put together but for a group of 7th and 8th graders I think it was still kinda impressive. our recording is on yt too
So glad my director chose this for us to play senior year
I'm playing this freshman year :p
I played All of wine dark sea my freshman year 😭😭😭 (it was hard)
Just played this at Florida states summer music camp. An absolutely amazing arrangement and fantastic piece. Those low brass parts kill!!
I went to that camp back in 2016. It was such an amazing experience. I still miss it to this day.
Mackey's music is sooo perfect for a drum & bugle corps!!
Colt Cadets 2023 closer. I was marching with them this year and then I fractured my foot. I was on mello
Funny you say that, cause bluecoats used asphalt cocktail in their 2010 show
everyone complaining about how difficult the brass section is, wait till you see the clarinet 1 and 2 part 💀
pshhhh they used to it, us low brass barely know how to count quarter notes
Womp womp

Which trombone?
Adam HIll I played 1st trombone. And I think it was region 11. I was 2nd chair.
The community college all state band is playing this this yeat at the TMEA convention. Go trumpets
Adam Plummer im playing tuba for tccbda
This song would actually be perfect to be put in a video game
eh
It would definitely fit in a Monster Hunter game
It would make a great boss battle theme. I agree with the person who said Monster Hunter, but only right after the intro of this particular piece.
i think itd fit botw really well, not necessarily with any of the current bosses, just sounds like something from botw lol
sounds like a pokemon victory road theme to me
So umm, when we gettin a French horn concerto👀
Yessss! Please Mackey please!!!
Never!!!!
That would be amazing
I gotchu 😏
@@JR_Productions816What do you mean by that.😏

My band just learned this in about a month for our spring concert sooo fun!

We were going to but it didn't end up happening. Well, at least not until now. Just got the parts today!
I love the harsh dissonant chords in the brass.

I love that you are still composing after all these years...
I love you Mackemore
Thanks for the opportunity to work with you at Warrensburg's UCM from the blue haired trumpet player from Sullivan High in Sullivan Missouri.
the beginning of the recording does not do justice to how loud it is

LMEA all state 2019 who ready? We getting conducted by dunnigan (who conducted the band playing in this recording)
I thought our conductor was Richard Clary? I might be wrong.
It’s clary
Stella Rose Broussard oh shit u right. I'm just stupid and misunderstood when someone said "FSU guy"

Why’d you gotta steal the ending of Attention of souls and put it in here :(. JK still really love the peace and it surprisingly flows well
Hardest part of band is sightreading that snare part

Yes, it says in the description that it is an adaptation of "Wine-Dark Sea," only much shorter and much easier.
Thank you for reply.
