Hey guys! We went to go do our drug test for CFI. Here is my trip up there. They did my urine test but said they don't do hair tests for CFI 😭

No problem man! Off topic, did you have problems with your recruiter? The first one I had would never answer the phone. Now this one is having trouble getting me a hair drug test and now not answering the phone. Lol
You never show about the test it was just your driving
Would you recommend CFI? I’ve been looking into them. They seem great for starting out and getting that first year of experience and stuff.
You gotta find the company that's right for you. I don't know what's important to you so I'm not going to recommend any company. They are right for me though so I went with them.
@@truckerguychad I just need to get some experience, make more money than I do now(which won’t be hard lol) and work for someone that isn’t gonna treat me like crap. Which with all the research I’ve done CFI seems to check off all those boxes. Basically I want to run hard when I’m out there and learn new stuff everyday but also get my home time every 3-4 weeks.

@@heinzketchup7503 no but they do hair testing before you go to school. If you don't go to a school or don't need to, then you have to do a hair test at orientation
Bringing your own car is a great call man. I would have killed to have a car cause the Uber prices were outrageous!

I am starting with cfi in dec 5th they gave me the option to take my own car but I would have to find a way to bring it back home because from there I go straight out with the trainer. Any in sight on this would be much appreciated.
@@rafaelmontes8448 I start on the 5th too. My recruiter said school would end on the 23rd then there's the holidays so I could go home then come back

How far back is the hair follicle?
I think it's 7 to 8 months but if you're worried about it I would wait a year. There's also a youtube video you can watch that will tell you
It is good that trucking companies are doing hair test to weed out dope heads and the test can go back 3 months or longer.
@@truckerguychad Go ahead and wait one year and you your test is clean the company can do a random hair test and they got you and they will report it clearinghouse FMCSA.
@@RedRedred-ld4pbthey cannot report hair test to the clearing house because it’s not dot approved. They can only report if your fail the urine test.
How much are they starting you off at $?
.38 cpm. That's while training. When I'm solo it jumps up to .43 cpm. But it jumps up throughout the year. I think it caps out at .53 cpm for the first year. I'm not really doing it just for the money because I know it's on the lower side but I'm joining cfi for the training. They are really good at training drivers. After a year I'll probably look for a higher paying job. Either way, it's more than I make now. During training I'll average about $800 a week
