We toured Sicily in 2022 and I had the same thought, I did not want to leave. So in 2023 I bought a run down villa, restored it and moved my family there. We also have an Airbnb on property which is almost ready for this summer.

When I travel 4 hours by train, one hour by boat, walk one mile to get to destination, I always bring something to eat, some snacks , some fruit, I don't take for granted to find something to eat in an airbnb. But I get you, it would have been nice.

This year I've decided to stay home, the mass tourisms has ruined most beautiful places in Italy, Positano being the most painful one for me. The "Instagram" tourists (mostly American) are ignorant, loud, disrespectful to the environment and plain nasty!
I'm an American and I'd like to think my family and friends are not like that. If they were, I wouldn't spend time with them. I don't like how some Americans are sometimes loud, feel entitled, and impatient. Every culture has their problems for sure.
I went to Positano the first week of May and wish I could have stayed longer. My hotel was on the pyramid cliff called Hotel Reginella and had a very nice view. I would love to go back someday and stay longer than 3 days.
Now this is a great video/channel. A couple reasons: I live in Hawaii so I see a lot of travel videos- Done almost entirely by travelers not locals. I think most people would appreciate a “locals” insight. What a twist! Air B n B hosts giving travel from their perspective! Fantastic! Next: You are so relaxed and confident NOT “trying “ to sell an approach. Clearly, you are the professionals who know what you’re talking about. ALOHA

Sorry for your idea of the bus to positano we did that several years and several times took the bus and it was fantastic road you dont see much from the sea you dont see the whole road and not the bful gardens and gorgeous homes of the steep hill ..its true - its crowded , lots of turists ..
We are waiting for you in the "Bel Paese" for another future trip, then if you have thrown a coin into the Trevi Fountain in Rome then destiny will take you back to Italy ;-)
We flew into Rome, had a layover in Dublin. We did 3 days in Rome, 2 days in Tuscany and 4 days in Positano. We linked the Tour Guides we used in the description of this video and all of our other videos from our travels, we got recommended them through a friend that visited last year.
Were you nervous at the loading dock? I follow a vlog family who own blue star boats tours and she post the craziest scariest thing about a ferry docking and almost killing several people!
Great series but here’s the thing, those apartments are meant for locals and hotels are meant for visitors. Expect local authorities to change the licensing laws in the coming years.
Thats a great idea, but they were super busy and didn't bring our bags up for 30 minutes to 45 minutes. They also take utility carts up on the road with a load of luggage then run them up or down the stairs when they are close.

Positano, is beautiful but very overated, crowded and VERY expensive.😓
We live in Southern California, so expensive is what we're used to haha
