Now Sky Sports 6-month contract is £17.95 at the moment, with Boost, that's £23.95 which is decent. I watch live football every evening, so I get my money's worth.
I've been with sky 9 years😲 each time my contract ends I phone them up and always feel I'm getting a good deal but watching your videos makes me question that now. At the moment for, Internet, phone line, sky box upstairs and downstairs, netflix, prime and Disney plus is £70 a month. I'd obviously like to save even more but the change scares me and having to learn about these other deals like now TV ect. Do you think it's worth changing to now? I'd have to wait for my contract to end as well. Thank you for these videos. 👍
The packages and plans of Now TV seem confusing. What do I pay If I only want the movies and those HBO/Sky Atlantic shows? What if I want BT Sport as add-on? Do they support Google Chromecast and Dolby Atmos sound? How many devices can I use at once?
So Sky Atlantic is via the Entertainment pass. The movies via the Cinema pass. So you'd need both. However, I'd say do it month by month. You can probably binge a series in a month, cancel it and only sign up again when there's something new to watch. Especially if you also have Netflix, Disney etc. The BT Sport pass is separate to NOW TV. You'll need a smart TV or smart stick that has the BT Sport app. All work with Chromecast
It's the picture quality for football that bothers me watching from Japan. It's awful. You can't even follow see the ball, it's like some hooky streaming site. Five extra pounds just to be able to see the ball. How is this not a scam?
Found a really good deal for cinema on the now tv app and then I watched your video Andy and 4.99 for six months with B I thought fantastic thanks for the update
@@shortbreadhead on the now tv website they was offering 4.99 for the month and in six months they reapplyed the offer and the boost was an option for customers at the time if they wanted it in 2021 it has been a great offer really pleased
Having watched your shows on now TV, I tuck the plunge and signed up to what I thought was a cracking deal, 50% off sky entertainment + movies+ boost, 7 days free trial and £9.99 per month? But why offer 7days free and then 1 month at £9.99? Then read terms and conditions, after said month its £9.99 EACH for the channels and £5.00 for the boost, total £25.00pm? Erm I think not......
Yep. So follow the cancellation trick to hopefully bring prices down in future months ruclips.net/video/3yShI457bsY/видео.html I’d also suggest switching between passes - are you really getting value from both entertainment and movies each month? And do you have other streaming services at the same time too?
Currently got entertainment on £4 for 6 months and cinema for £5 literally did what you said and now got boost for just £1. All that for £10 not bad, thanks!
Huge savings! Especially when compared to Sky. I would say think about cancelling the movies if you’re after new releases as these are going to be thin on the ground for a good while!
I just got a deal for £2.99 for cinema for two months I've watched 3 movies and I HAVN'T added boost.. Yet I haven't had a single advert is there a reason why?
Hi Andy. Maybe a bit of a daft question but can't find any info to confirm. Is the £5 booster just for one package or would it also cover me if I decided to go with all 3? Don't fancy paying £15 if separate. Thanks.
Paying extra for 1080p is crazy.. it was the normal almost 10 years ago... Im running my pc on 4k all the time when It's possible... 1080p is becoming a thing of the past not an added extra 🤣🤣🤣💀
I'm considering trying the 7 day trial but not sure how to go about it to try and save money. I wanted to choose entertainment, cinema and boost to give it a try but is that the best option? I do think in general it's too expensive but I want to have a look at least for a week, if it turns out to be decent I'd be happy paying £15 (obviously that's not something you negotiate, I just mean in general for a package like that I feel that 15 is more than fair)
I don't know if this helps but last month I got a Now Sky Sports deal for £25 a month that came with a month's free Boost. I went to cancel the Boost part because I didn't want to pay £5 a month for it and they offered it to me for £2 a month for 3 months so I took it. The same Sky Sports deal is currently available until the 28th August and you can cancel it any time you want. It may be worth looking to see if there are any similar Entertainment and Movies deals.
Andy Very good video. I have a particular problem with Now Sports. I only watch one championship side that I support. It is occasionally one Now TV. I buy a day pass for £9.99 but now I do not see how I can avoid paying an extra £3 for a total of £12,99. This gives a pause for thought happy to watch it for £9.99 doubtful at £12.99. The question is how do I avoid boost? If it is possible a video on this?
Ah right. So this looks like a special offer running at the moment to give a month of Boost for £3 rather than £5. But yes, it doesn't seem to offer the option to just get the Day pass. As I have Boost at the moment I can't see if going into your account to add a Day Pass (rather than from the home page) gets you around this. I'd chat to the Now support team to see if they can help.
Paying for a service with ads is just asinine. It’s either free and ad supported OR paid. Companies that think they can get away with both can get in the bin.
Just got NowTV and the free trial of the boost only to realise that it's unable to play HD on a £2000 computer, it's 2022 and they can't offer more than 720p????? Lmfao what a joke this service is.
I hate sky, what snake charges extra for HD, thats the minimum I expected in 2015 let alone 2021.
Same with their traditional satellite TV offering; HD for an extra ongoing cost. Hilariously bad.
Now Sky Sports 6-month contract is £17.95 at the moment, with Boost, that's £23.95 which is decent. I watch live football every evening, so I get my money's worth.
How does Boost even work? I just bought NOW with the Boost trial, but everything is in Standard and no option to change quality

Paying to watch adverts? Sky are having a giraffe
Hi Andy, thank you for your advice regarding saving money on reducing my Now subscriptions.
It's the picture quality for football that bothers me watching from Japan. It's awful. You can't even follow see the ball, it's like some hooky streaming site. Five extra pounds just to be able to see the ball. How is this not a scam?

Good stuff
Where was this deal?
@@shortbreadhead on the now tv website they was offering 4.99 for the month and in six months they reapplyed the offer and the boost was an option for customers at the time if they wanted it in 2021 it has been a great offer really pleased
I've got boost. What's up with the quality. It goes from 480 to 780 quality, never hits 1080
They also lock the surround sound support behind boost as well now. You almost have to buy it kmt.
Unless you need need 4K which is not that different from normal HD, the programmes are the same.
Do you need boost to watch on two devices at the same time ?
Yes.
Can I watch HBO max using now?
After the 6 months expire could you repeat the process to get boos from £1/month again?
even the all 4+ subscription service has ads for some of their programmes.
Yeah, same with iPlayer. Annoying!
Selling HD when we can't even get UHD.
Thankyou very much buddy for your video very helpful, much appreciated.👍

How did you get them for 4 and 5 pound? They're like 6.99 each now
I just got a deal for £2.99 for cinema for two months I've watched 3 movies and I HAVN'T added boost.. Yet I haven't had a single advert is there a reason why?
They might have automatically put you on a 7-day trial - check it so as they’ll charge you once the trial is over
Can I take now tv to my static caravan
Hi Andy. Maybe a bit of a daft question but can't find any info to confirm. Is the £5 booster just for one package or would it also cover me if I decided to go with all 3? Don't fancy paying £15 if separate. Thanks.
Hey Peter; the £5 will cover all the Now packages you have, whether that’s just one or multiple passes
@@BeCleverWithYourCash Top man. Thanks Andy for the quick reply.
Is there any way to record sky channels on now tv ?
Sadly you can't record. It's all on-demand, like iPlayer or Netflix

Do I really need boost? Is the picture quality for sports really that bad without it?
If its live sports then boost is not required for the highest quality.
I'm considering trying the 7 day trial but not sure how to go about it to try and save money. I wanted to choose entertainment, cinema and boost to give it a try but is that the best option? So I've got to pay £5 to watch in 1080p what about 4k? Does nowtv not do 4k
Sadly not! It’s a real downside but hopefully most can avoid it with the cancellation trick

Now tv prices are confusing why dont they just come out with one price ?
They really are, though I like that I can pick and choose each month (and often have no pass at all!). The Boost though is particularly frustating
What kind of conartistry is that.
Morning Andy, another great video on saving money, which we all need to do.
Glad you enjoyed it
Don’t understand HD charges or children’s channel charges outrageous it’s greed pure & simple
I thought boost was a chocolate bar?
Paying for a service with ads is just asinine. It’s either free and ad supported OR paid. Companies that think they can get away with both can get in the bin.
Sadly it looks like other streaming services are going this way. Disney is launching a cheaper option with ads in the USA later this year
No 4k just HD and Hd not good on my 4k tv
I had now tv a while ago but cancelled cos the subs were always out of sync. Did they fix this problem?
I've not noticed it as I don't use subs... anyone got any experience on this?
In a nutshell sky q basic tv package broadband seems the thing to do until they improve sky glass
