Thank you, Linda, for mentioning the devastation in our beautiful North Carolina mountains. I am glad your sister and her chickens and home are ok. These mountain people are amazing and strong, but Helene was a beast. I was thinking of the beautiful flowers and plants that grow there and must now be gone. So Beautiful Linda, nothing distracting about the sun's evening light so calming and relaxing. Lemon lime nandina is one of my favorite plants. I am propagating some from last year's berries I hope it works out 🤞🏼.

I've noticed before and just noticed again that those yaupon holly appear to have really cool bark. Perhaps it not something to note in person? I would love to hear your thoughts about this. Thank you.
My grandfather loved the late season ones,he would take pictures of them, and much to grandma’s dismay,he would put them in the photo albums! Funny story: Do you know what else he would put in the photo albums? Every year, back in the 1970s,during the broadcast of the Grammy awards,he would take a photo of the tv screen when Dolly Parton was on🤣 THAT really annoyed grandma 🤣🤣🤣😅
Your garden is stunning and breathtaking in its beauty. Here in the first week of October in Central California the temps are over 100 and the fall planting and transplanting window has to be post poned for at least another week.
Absolutely gorgeous!!! I think the captions really help with the names of the plans. (Thank you, Stewart) Linda thank you so much for sharing your garden life with us. ❤❤❤❤
The garden is stunning! So glad to have Wednesday walkabout back! I tried to turn off captions but it just covered yours that I guess y’all did? They are distracting. Sorry.
Your front garden has come together so dreamily!! I'm staring out at my own front garden that I've been building up over the last year and it is catching that same magical glow in the morning light. Happy to see you addressing how to assess for winter interest needs-- being in the PNW where it only snows 1-2x per winter, evergreens are sooo important here during our long, grey winter. I added winter blooming heath last winter in addition to my dwarf conifers and it made SUCH a difference. Hope you film a follow up video on the locations you determined needed winter interest and what you're adding to achieve that goal. PS I hate to end on a negative, but adding my vote to the other voices-- please leave out the captions. We can add closed captioning if we need to. Being uber visually oriented, I find them very distracting.
It looks so festive, and just to let you know that there are captions popping up at the bottom of the screen and when you were describing certain things the captions were covering whatever you were describing. Seems that they're kind of distracting.
Many of the nurseries along the golf coast of Florida have been completely destroyed specially those down in Naples, Fort Myers and Sarasota. I would be curious to know how the southern living plant growers up towards the border of north and South Carolina have fared.
Everything in your garden looks lovely. It's just so mature and happy, Linda. It's perfectly beautiful from evey perspective. Have you heard of New Gen boxwood? It was developed only about 40 miles from where I live. The company has been in the boxwood business for many years. It'salled Saunders Nursery and they have this new boxwood that is suaposed to be disease tolerant and they appear in the same statue as the green mt. Take a look on the internet. Thank you for sharing. Happy Fall. Love the pumpkins, too.
The different elevations of the plants appear more clearly as your garden matures. Very pretty. I now live in Greenville SC, where I am fortunate to have electricity and no property damage. My cousin who lives up the mountain in the Blue Ridge of SC close to the NC border in Caesar’s Head had a dangerous escape with her family as most of the highway they normally use collapsed down the mountain and they had to drive out through Brevard and Hendersonville in NC to finally reach her daughter’s house in Atlanta. Harrowing. Biltmore House had water inside, and I haven’t heard about the gardens yet, but it’s hard to be optimistic. The large Walmart here has brought in portable showers and laundry facilities for people without electricity. The Greenville Animal Shelter asked our retirement village for dog and cat food, bedding materials, and cat litter. The guy had a full vehicle of supplies when he left. We’re trying to help neighbors who don’t have power or supplies.
It’s very beautiful but perhaps you can show other things. I think I have memorized your yard. I hate it when I have to turn it off bc I’ve seen it over and over
