- Here’s my Half assed how to install/wire ditch lights on my 2021 Toyota Tacoma TRD offroad lol. Super informative if you ask me!
Took the old Rigid D Series Ditch Lights and slapped them in the Tacoma! I used the Cali Raised Led low profile ditch lights to mount them.

Couple years later, but we’re you able to find taller ditch light brackets? Or did you stay with the low profiles
I ended up just sticking with the low profile mounts
I installed mine a few years ago. One randomly went out. Has anyone experienced this and as to why it may have happened? Wiring all seems fine.
I would test them with a volt meter, also contact Cali raised led

I have dss pro and the harness that came with it is black red and blue for the switch harness. I bought a switch harness that the colors are different red black and yellow. How do I connect? Red to red black to black and yellow to blue?
I don’t know what dss pro is, I’d have to look at it and assess it tbh.

Do you know to find hood brackets for a Colorado?
Mmm I would just Google it, or try to see if anyone from overland bound has a brand they like
Did u had to drill wholes under the hood for the bracket ?
No they are the oem holes for bolts that hold in the hood

Yes you have the option to have the harnesses and oem switches added
Did you keep all the wiring from the crosstrek?

Did you buy another switch or drill hole woth it?
I still use the red switch it came with, I’m holding off on doing lighting and stuff for now, eventually going to switch to a full switch panel.
Where did u put the switch
In one of the blank spaces under the dash. You can pop out the place holders and slide the switch in.
Did you keep the wires from the treks setup? Or buy a new wiring kit
Everything transferred over from the trek, all the wiring and the button is what came with the ditch light kit when I bought it

How are you liking them so far?
The ditch mounts are kinda too low I would’ve wanted a higher mount, didn’t realize they were low profile when I bought them. The ditch lights are great they’re floods so they put out a lot of light.
@@RoamWithJon thank you so much for that. I was thinking of going the low pro as well but I think your issue drove me the opposite way.
Did you even up getting an OEM switch?
Yeah I thought I liked the low profile but you lose a lot of light top the top of the hood

Nah it came with everything
@@RoamWithJon Do you think those brackets would work on a Nissan Titan? I want to mount those lights the same way.
@@BC-hc5dq don’t think they would, just cause the hood is different, I think zroadz had ditch mounts for the titan, but I can’t tell you about the quality of them. Last line of defense base them on his F 150

@@RoamWithJon Thanks for the replay. ZROADZ had them for the Titan so I bought them..not cheap at $130..wow. I'm just hoping the RIGID D Series Pro fit on them..I believe they're 3".
How much did you pay for these ?
I Believe at the time when I bought them they were 150$
Were those the factory connections on the rigid lights?
