Your hair is so pretty. You got it going on with all of that hair. I’m currently on a mission to grow my hair I’m tired of the extensions, wigs, braids etc. I want to have the luxury of wearing my real hair out.
I’ve never understood why people feel the need to make ugly comments if something’s too long or detailed. Just don’t watch it. I love your videos and how real you are.
I paused the beginning to say I came for the gorgeous hair, experience, and hair journey content. I stayed for that plus your personality, realness, and no apology delivery. Refreshingly different and welcome. Keep doing you and being awesome, girl. So here for it! ☺ Now back to the vid! 🙂
Really don’t recommend using rinse out conditioners as leave ins for two reasons. One being build up, since the formulations can leave a film (speaking from personal experience). But most importantly, some are formulated with chemicals that are safe for skin contact if they are only in contact for a limited amount of time. Meaning some chemicals NEED to be washed off. Constantly leaving them in might lead to issues like contact dermatitis and allergic reactions, irritation, itch or who knows what else. This is why so many people had problems with products like Olaplex, not following manufacturer instructions.
From my personal experience I don’t have any issues leaving it in. I don’t use much product on my hair so buildup is not really an issue.I also don’t apply it to my scalp. I have had dermatitis before but it was from the shampoo I was using. If I have bad reaction to something I know how to make the necessary adjustments. I have been using conditioner as a leave in for years and it works just fine for me. 😊
@@milami. One thing you mention is you use a little and you use it just on the length of your hair. There are some who will miss that point. They’ll use way too much, apply it to their whole head and leave it on forever and they’ll get the build up issue. My comment is really intended as a disclaimer. Please don’t take it is an attack on you or your regimen by any means. If you’re comfortable doing it and have no issues, that’s ok. I recognize everyone has different experiences. But there are soooo many brands and types of conditioners on the market, with a variety of ingredients. Some might not cause issues, some might. Also allergies can develop over time and people can develop sensitivities they may not know the reason for, even something as common as fragrance can cause dermatitis, certain preservatives, sulfates etc. I actually commented before seeing the part in the video where you mentioned Shea Moisture! But yeah, I just think it’s better to buy a true leave in. For those trying to save money or be minimalist, there are wash out conditioners that state on the label that they can be used as a leave in too. Garnier Fructis has one. Just my two cents. People can also Google this if they wish, there are debates out there listing the pros and cons. You have beautiful hair and a great channel so again, no shade, you definitely know what you’re doing!
I don’t feel like your comment was an attack on me or my regimen. Just sharing that I haven’t had any issues. I try to be straight forward in my responses but sometimes I feel like the tone may come off stronger than intended.
I've been wearing deep conditioners as leave ins. I don't buy conditioners, only deep conditioners. i also used to use OrS replenishing conditioner as a leave in which is basically a protein treatment. I have fine high porosity hair so the stronger the product the better
As we speak, I am wearing a deep conditioner as a leave in but it is totally because my schedule go too busy to rinse it out. I went and unbraided my hair with the intent to rinse the deep conditioner out and I couldn't believe how soft & moisturized my hair felt, and my twist-out is the best ever. I never knew I could used a deep conditioner as a leave-in, and now, seeing your comment, I just may do this more often! Thanks
Im still here for the content, thank you for the tips, I think putting chapters in could be a happy medium as a new watcher of your content, and I love your hair. Thank you for the warning.
I’ve seen a lot of videos about “waist length hair” and never bothered to argue it but sisssss your hair is so beautiful and long I love it! Keep doing what you’re doing from one long haired woman to another. ❤️❤️❤️
I love listening to videos like this for some reason. Just hearing women talk about their hair. Hair is such a complex topic, especially curly kinky hair.
Loved this video from beginning to end! I'm realizing that just putting my hair in protective styles is not enough for it to grow and this year I want to see visible improvement in my length and density. Thank you for being so descriptive sis. I shall be taking some of your hair tips for sure.
Great tips and advice. No need to apologize. Your hair is beautiful. Keep doing what you are doing. The proof is your fantastic results. Beautiful hair and personality. GOD bless you 🙏

The *HUMIDIFIER* has got to be the game changer for me!!! My hair is high porosity and dry, and humidity just makes so much sense. Got one in the closet & about to pull that joker out! 🌸
Yep, it definitely works. I been using one for years in the winter time...spring, summer and fall I'm fine. It helps to keep my skin from being dry and itchy also my hair from being dry and brittle 💚
The humidifier should also be good for low porosity, dry hair like mine. Plus, I live in Colorado where the climate is very dry. Black hair girls definitely need help in these type climates. When I moved here, I had long hair, but over time due to climate, menopause now, half my hair is gone. This is Angie video. ❤
I like the way you set the record straight! Lol. Folks need to shut the front door and watch or not! You have beautiful hair! And your not fat! Ok, you know folks be hating! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for advising us on using a regular conditioner as a leave in. I will definitely incorporate this. I agree with you about doing other people's hair! Lol
Very detailed. Thank you! I also use (both) a leave-in conditioner (when available) and if I choose to use a regular conditioner as a leave-in, it works just as well! I also use a regular conditioner to deep condition when convenient. It's all good. 💯💇
HA serum is the same thing as Glycerin . Same family humectants . So if you have a product with glycerin which most do , then you’re essentially doing the same thing
I love your videos ❤ Take all the time you want, many of us are listening and want to know the “why” and “how” behind your tips And your hair is spectacular 😊
Thanks for sharing your experience. Your delivery is PERFECT! Your time is always best spent being the best YOU that you can be, none of your 24 hrs. should be wasted trying to be somebody else...we don’t have time for that. Lol This video was very helpful.
Girl your hair is just stunning! That's all genetic imo. I'm sure your suggestions will help us struggling with retaining length because baby it has been sooo hard for me. My hair is type 4 and with extreme tight coils and loves to tangle for no darn reason smh. Thanks for sharing!
After I wash and condition , I leave a small amount in my hair nearer the ends. I have been doing it for years. My hair drinks it up too. I use Treseme for the the slip & lightness.
😂 I use a bands thay people use to cover their mouth and nose.. or they wear it as a headband. Not sure the name of it but I use it for my ponytail holder😂😂
I found this video extremely helpful! I have had horrible back acne for literal YEARS! Lol it’s never occurred to me that my hair was probably contributing to that I just though I was acne prone. After some of the things you advised I’m seeing such a change. Thank you so much!🤎
The fact that you had to start your video in complete defense mode is sad and telling how hostile the community can be. Please don’t ever feel like you have to apologize or explain yourself Mila. Do you and let the boring people sign off lol. That’s cool you’re in the Bay Area. I’m in Los Angeles but I graduated from Cal! 😁 And thanks for the tips. I use hyaluronic acid for my face and it doesn’t work really well down here 😅 so I doubt it will be irk for my hair. I have to use oil, butters or grease to seal moisture of the ends. New subscriber!
how long is your hair? mines is bra strap length and i have very thick coarse hair it's 3c mixed with 4a. My hair gets so dry & knotted 😣 only thing that helps me is leave in conditioners and grease! And leaving my hair braided or in a bun. Two styles that i don't like that much and wish i can just leave it out without tangling lol
@@prettyllady your hair is definitely longer than mine. It goes to the base of my neck. And I also have low porosity, fine, type 4b/c hair. Your hair is high porosity so doing the grease is perfect since your hair most likely can’t hold moisture long. Have you ever thought of a gel perhaps that can assist you with wearing it out? I could imagine you should be able to do a twist out or braid out. Do you deep condition as well?
Do you apply moisturizing creams immediately after applying hyaluronic acid? This works for me. Also, I don't dry my face after I wash it before applying acid, and creams.
Good Informative video! Glad you are feeling better after having the flu. It's really going around! Do you mind sharing the conditioners you use? Are you still using Ayurvedic powders? (Henna, etc.) Please share your oil and butter mixture recipes. Do you have a link to the hair ties you displayed? Your hair is beautiful and continues to flourish! Thanks for sharing! 😃
It's a hyaluronic acid specifically for hair cuz I thought that was a facial product so when I go to look for it ...am I looking in the hair aisle or am I looking in the skin care aisle?

your hair is beautiful ..my hair is super long ,but i would like it thicker .. i never wear it tight ..very loose loc style ..i can only wear 2 pony tails cuz its too heavy for one in the middle . and thank you for the info ...
I was so surprised how I noticed.. that hair gets HEAVY when it starts getting longer😮 It makes you have to have good posture! It affects my neck at times 😮💨
Your hair is stunningly GORGEOUS and soooooo is your spirit. I appreciate you. I was lazy last night and put what was right in front of me silk ties and regular black ties.. wellllll.. let me tell you.. this morning my hair with silk ties was fine to remove.. those regular ties.. 😩🥺😳 got caught up in my hair…I had to very carefully remove them. Regular ties are fine for parting for hair care.. not overnight.
Lol I laughed when I heard leave the conditioner in and not wash it off 🤣. I do the same. My hair is really thick 4c & it just absorbs all of it makes it softer. 🙃 I've never had any issues either. Everything in moderation then a leave in conditioner on top & oil - smooth it up. If you wrap it up overnight like that it's almost like deep conditioning then spray in bw days during the week. Keep wrapping at night to keep moisture. I will often smooth with a middle part & one or 2 buns & a ponytail but nowadays trying to wear it out as my afro, just smooth the perimeter tie it down & fluff middle.
Depends on the style. I try to keep it pretty simple for the most part. A style like mini twist can take me about 3-4 hours to retwist depending on the size. Larger twist with flat twist in the front can take me about 2 hours to refresh. Washing, blow drying and straightening my hair can take me like 4 hours. It’s definitely a lot of work but you get used to it.
I shampoo when needed. Sometimes it's biweekly. Sometimes it's monthly. I Condition my hair every time I was it. I currently don't co-wash that often. I will co-wash randomly. I really just depends on what I think my hair needs.
You’re low key funny…”kiss it goodbye” I notice someone say you shouldn’t use rinsing conditioner as leave ins but I. The curly girl method they literally recommend leaving some of that leave in conditioner in.
Sis your on the internet which means you may have good/bad comments, that's part of the internet, so why waste your time deleting negative comments, just saying.
There is also a delete button for a reason. Also I don’t delete comments. I block people and the comment ends up deleting automatically. I have absolutely no problem blocking people. I don’t think of it as a waste of time. It protects my peace and prevents unnecessary interactions with rude people. I will continue to block rude people without hesitation. I am not required to keep anyone’s comment. Hopefully people will think twice about the kinds of comments they leave but I’m not counting on it.
I’m aware that I will receive the comments but I also know how to remove the comments or limit my interactions certain people. Some people are extremely comfortable being rude/nasty because people let them. If they do it here and I notice it I’ll block them. Simple 🤷🏾♀️ Also, I don’t value their opinion so it doesn’t get to me. My channel is small so block certain people doesn’t take too much time. 😊
@@milami. You have set standards and value which is nice. It explains why when I read comments after each video. It has a relax vibe. Thank you for that. Keep doing what makes you comfortable.

Biggest point you've made...ppl eat crap and wonder why their body is a mess🤔🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️
Ignore them 😂. You have beautiful hair
Thank you!
You’re low key funny…”kiss it goodbye”
I notice someone say you shouldn’t use rinsing conditioner as leave ins but I. The curly girl method they literally recommend leaving some of that leave in conditioner in.
I’ve heard people say that too but I haven’t had any issues leaving it in. I guess to each their own.
That warning in the beginning is so scary 😅
"I bet it do"!! lmao ..Right!!!!
@@milami. 💯❣️
@@milami. Yes!
I’m aware that I will receive the comments but I also know how to remove the comments or limit my interactions certain people. Some people are extremely comfortable being rude/nasty because people let them. If they do it here and I notice it I’ll block them. Simple 🤷🏾♀️
Also, I don’t value their opinion so it doesn’t get to me. My channel is small so block certain people doesn’t take too much time. 😊
@@milami. You have set standards and value which is nice. It explains why when I read comments after each video. It has a relax vibe. Thank you for that. Keep doing what makes you comfortable.
I’m in the Bay Area too 😁🌻💚 hiii
