- Tom Bradby is your man with the ITV News at Ten, until a fire alarm forces an evacuation of the studio. Includes the full bulletin (the initial alarm sounding at 13m47, and Tom Bradbury reluctantly bugging out at 17m35) plus breakdown slides and all associated ephemera.
Tonight's headlines:
Cancelled operations, long waiting times and senior doctors describing some A and E Departments as 'like battlefields.' So perhaps no surprise that the Health Secretary had one simple message tonight; 'I'm sorry.'
Trump lashes out again. 'My nuclear button is bigger than yours', he tells the North Korean leader. And, still not done with the playground outbursts, tonight he laid into his former close ally and aide Steve Bannon; 'he's lost his mind,' he said.
The retailer Next has some good news. So, what does it say about the future of retail?
And... Since we are now all on diets for the New Year, or some of us, anyway, would we better off redefining what beauty is? The great January debate is underway.
Ironic the fire alarm sounded as soon as he said Donald Trump.
Trump has a fire alarm button on his desk that is big and works.
Ethan Carberry-Holt That's interesting for all of us in the USA.
13:50 you can start to hear it here
Got to say well done to Tom for handling that so well, i would have panicked if i had been in his situation.
Thank you for making available what ITV Hub can not. Better than the short clips on the newspaper websites.
Time to stare at the
We’re sorry for the disruption
logo for 20 minutes.
I remember watching this and thinking my office alarm was going off
Haha i was watching this last night when it happened. Credit to the news presenter for explaining calmly & presentable. The music was quite annoying as it sounded like been kept on a phone call on hold!
You are number forty-six in the queue, please hold.
@@AllThoughts3rased We are sorry, but we are experiencing higher wait times than normal.
@@somethingiguess9783 Sorry, but Comcast UK PhoneService is busy. For voicemail, press 1. For on hold, press 2.
Leave a message after the MAN THIS SUX.
10pm Fire Alarm At 22:17:35 then a breakdown music ( Into the dream) at this time at night 🤔 then @TomBraby tweeted saying that it was a false alarm
What?
8:03 [insert non-fire alarm related timestamp here]
Fire alarm roughly at 17:30
13:47 you can hear it
When the broadcast stopped while the fire alarm went off, was the music actually played or have you put that music over / replaced it with the original audio.
That's the music that was actually played - what you see here is exactly what was broadcast, no cuts, no edits.
Remember The News Ok, thank you for letting me know :)
Ah I was wondering what RUclips meant by the "Music in this video" info!
Is this a chroma or a real set?
Chroma. (Virtual)
Green Screen
Wait don't go
11 mins of nothing
And the next bit we saw was Tony Morris with Granada Reports at 22:30
im guessing it was recorded in london, prob use the same building for regional
@@williamg209two In case for London, ITN makes both regional (London region) and national news (ITV News) since 2004, when LNN was discontinued
13:47
18:19
Did this effect London news as well?
Can't remember but I think they have different studios so it might have gone ahead as normal.
@@madabbafan I’m sure National and London share the same studio, I think the desks are right across from each other.
@@rhysjohnston8803 yes, sorry, your right, ITN London news was moved from it's own studio on the south bank to the same base as ITN national news.
29:55
Maybe Huw Edwards and co, instigated it? Ha!
