But it doesn’t seem that they see their budget as a companion they see it as a toy or TikTok prop.
There's so many videos of people filming their cats killing or maiming things and than they intervine but than just let the animal go and say "no animal was harmed" 😐
I love the fact that you never blame the animals that kill small pets, because it is actually just nature. Many will just blame it on their dogs/cats and how they should know better like b***h it’s instinct to kill they aren’t mercy animals.
THANK YOU FOR THIS. It’s instinct and genetics. Yes Sarah your sweet Maltese tore your hamster apart not because she’s a bad dog, but because she’s a predator and did what you’d expect from one: killing a prey animal. Yes John, your loving cat killed your bird not because he’s an awful killer, but because his ancestors evolved into generations of precise predators and were bred to keep pests at bay. Any dog or cat, any breed, even the sweetest, lowest of prey drive, etc ones may see your small prey animal pets as toys, prey, something to chase and will attempt to kill those kinds of critters. It’s so sad to see people blame or surrender their PREDATOR pets for being… predators and it’s sad to see prey animals get killed. If people did their research so many deaths would and could be avoided :(
The fact that they didn't only just decide to film their budgie being killed instead of trying to intervene, but also decided to post it.. and people WERE LIKING IT. My blood is boiling
I agree, I don’t condone this, but in my personal experience I would be hitting the cat with a long object, jabbing not too hard at the cat til I could hit it away. Grab the budgie and kick the cat out of the room.
@@keegan9783 You can just grab the cat by the scruff and get the bird out without having to possibly hit the bird while wildly jabbing the cat. Pretty simple. Normally you can even use a blanket or large towel to secure the cat too.
As sad as it might sound I guess the bird would have been beyond saving after the initial bite/strike by the cat. Even modern medicine has failed in most cases of humans that were attacked by tigers. Some were even just struck once and their injuries would have been to bad to treat even if they happen right in the operating room. I guess a vet could not do anything but euthanize a bird that hat been clawed by a cat if the bird actually survived the trip to the vet. It might have been the best situation for the bird that he was actually killed by the cat at once or at least rather quickly and not just horribly injured. Of course this is no excuse for not getting the cat to let loose, for filming instead of trying to do something... But in my opinion the mistake was already done by allowing a situation were the cat could get the bird. The cat should never be in the same room with the bird if the cage door is open or the bird is roaming around outside its cage. If you keep pets together that are naturally prey and predator people have to make sure that the predator can't get into the other animals enclosure either by making sure the enclosure is solid enough or has small enough holes that it can't be broken or the predator can't reach in. The better scenario would be that the cat can't go into the room with the cage/enclosure without supervision as not to stress the other animal by having the cat stare into a cage or paw at aquarium glass.
They also used the crying emoji : 😭 . Which is a crying person but over the years has been developed to be a sort of: LOL .... LIKE GUYS, MY CAT JUST F**KING KILLED MY BUDGIE LIKE ONE OF IT'S TOYS LOL.
For the fish being flushed down the toilet one; there was definitely like 5 seconds where the fish was swimming and obviously alive?. He could of definitely grabbed the fish before it went down if he actually cared about it because it didn’t go down instantly. Instead he just stood there and screamed..
“like his toys 😭” is this person serious? cats are predators- their main source of prey in the wild are rodents and birds, it’s not “treating it like a toy” it’s hunting the budgie. this person clearly does not care about their animals 🤷♀️
@@AAAAAAAAAAAA4AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA even a well-fed cat will hunt out of instinct. In mixed pet households care should be taken that doors are always securely closed and if smaller prey animals are out of the cage, larger predator animals should be out of the room.
@@AAAAAAAAAAAA4AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA It’s not about being hungry, it’s behaviour from the cat’s natural instinct. Cats will chase anything from toys to rodents. Just because a dog, for example, chases after a ball doesn’t mean it’s hungry.

8:46 how did that guy not realise the fish was dead ?! When my fish died I was in denial and kept hoping it would move. For me the idea of accidentally flushing the fish when it was still alive was terrifying. I genuinely had to grieve for the tiny little fish, so I don’t understand how a human could care so little for a fish to make that mistake. Imagine flushing a human down the toilet lol.
TW: mention of fish corpse Yeah.. I had betta fish when I was super little because they were cheap and my (single) mom was having to scrape together change to buy anything relatively nice. I loved the fish I got, but due to limited into on the internet's less abundant information at the time (mid 2000s, and my mom had a flip phone and an old computer), we didn't have the right setup for my fish (were using a decorative, 2 gallon, no-filter tank from Santa, used a plant as a filter, and the fish didn't have many hiding places due to limited sizing of tank). My fish all died off rather quickly because of the previous fact, and I feel bad about it now that I know how to actually take care of betta. I was having a terrible time with my mental health a couple years ago and ended up buying a betta fish (but I had prepared-- it wasn't exactly impulse buying). Turns out he was an adult when I purchased him from a chain pet store, and he was just so small in my opinion because (as far as I knew) he'd spent most of his life at the time in a clear cup. So he died a year or so after I bought him, and I'm pretty sure it was of old age since the only other animal in the tank with him was a snail (who was alive and well for a long time after that). Either way, I kinda saw it coming for a while. Even though I was taking care of him the way I was told, my fish got really lethargic and slowly stopped reacting to a lot. I had several scares where I could've sworn he was dead, but then he'd moved partway across the tank a half an hour later. I remember intentionally checking in on him to make sure he was still alive several times a day. And then one day he just disappeared. I knew that he was good at blending in with the gravel in the tank, and that he had lots of places he could hide in the tank. However, I had also heard of fish horror stories where the fish somehow dies and gets sucked into the filter. Or they somehow jump out of the tank, even though you have a lid on it. So for about three days, I'm staring at my tank every chance I get, scanning and examining the area to try to find my fish. It was that third day when I finally found him at the side of the tank, tucked in between some fake plants and the gravel, and I nearly jumped out of my skin because he'd already started rotting, with white eyes and darkening scales. It was really disturbing, because I loved this fish and had him as one of my main sources of activity and dopamine while I was having so much trouble with my mental state, and then I was seeing him in such a pitiful def rightening-looking form. So I still moved the fake plant, hoping he'd somehow not be dead, and then just accepted that he was stiff and long gone. I flushed him, but I know not to do that now, at least. I know I make a lot of careless mistakes, so when to comes to fragile matters (though especially small animals) I try to be really careful. So I hope that the person who made that tiktok legit made a mistake and didn't just do it for views. Like, I get that you bought a feeder goldfish which you can buy for a dime a dozen. I know they're prone to sickness and don't live long under most circumstances due to how they've been bred. But buying an animal just to kill them for a video? Just wrong.
//tw bird death the one with the budgie and the cat broke my heart. a couple weeks ago i was trying to save a baby bird only for my dog to pounce on it and kill it. that experience was absolutely traumatizing and horrible. i can’t imagine why someone would film that, let alone POST IT, instead of grieving and trying to recover from it. (the bird was buried in my backyard.)
They even used the 😭 emoji. Sure, it's someone crying but it also symbolizes a sort of LOL or making something funny like for example : I SHARTED Y'ALL 😭😭😭😭. That's a example of what it's used for. And this person used it to show they're budgie being murdered by their cat and while recording it instead of using BOTH hands to help more...
My cat pounced on a baby dove and it broke a rib, the next day it died and I was heartbroken month later I still tear up when I think about it. I don’t know how some people can be unempathetic and horrible
Our finch survived a cat attack (the cat was at a vet’s office) she was VERY fortunate and she’s thriving today :) Please please please keep your birds away from your cats and dogs. Put them in a separate room if you can. Even if your pet is “friendly” to your bird, accidents can and will happen.
Smiling while uncomfortable or nervous is really common, I do it too and feel bad when like a friend is telling me a sad story and I'm holding back a smile
My cringing looks like I'm smiling. Also loads of pets shouldn't be having baths, yet people are bathing them too much yet alone at all. All because "they smell". Wow, who knew animals would smell? Don't get a pet if you hate smells.
It's like when people constantly bathe their ferrets because they're stinky. This is really bad for them since their skin oils get stripped off and their bodies usually end up overcompensating and making them MORE stinky than they were at the start :/
The tiktok with the budgie really pissed me off, I recently lost my budgie and she looked exactly like the one in the video. Really shows how much they care if the first thing they did was grab their phone, enter their passcode, open tiktok and start filming rather than using all that precious time stopping the cat. Tiktok really brings out the worst in these people.
Right?? Like, how do ppl automatically think “grab camera”?? I’ve had sooo many things happen that afterwards I’m like “that would be great to have on video!”, but I don’t think of it in the moment. Like especially when something bad happens... Ppl are just disgusting.

When you own both a predator and prey animals as pets you ALWAYS need to be careful because one way or another, they're gonna behave as the animal they are :/ my dog killed one of my guinea pigs a few weeks ago and it was rly sad, we'd always tried to make sure to keep our garage door closed (thays where the piggies were) when we had our dog inside, but he had gotten in without being allowed too and the door was open, he'd seen them before but we were there to make sure he didn't do anything, but that time we weren't and we lost a pet due to our mistake :(
I commonly see posts on the internet of people putting their bearded dragon on or next to their cat, or post a picture of their pet rat with their cat, and many other similar situations with dogs and their small animals as well. And the troubling and concerning part is how popular and encouraged these posts are! Even with supervision it WILL HAPPEN at some point and you wouldn't have time to react. So absolutely stupid and infuriating. If you've ever done this with your animals because "haha cute they're friends right now look how cute everyone!!!" PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE for the sake of the animals, rehome them because you don't deserve them and shouldn't own them and also don't ever EVER reproduce either yourself because future generations will absolutely thrive without these dumb irresponsible abusers in existence

@@galacticnerd3243 I've seen alot of that too and it's crazy to think how people forget that they're still animals, will behave like animals, it's so common for people to humanize pets and in some ways it's okay, cuz like they're a part of your family, but one must ALWAYS study up on what pet they're bringing home so they can properly read their body language. I think the only fortunate thing in my household is that we've always acknowledged this boundary with our pets and for the most part we've owned predetor pets. I've recently been looking for a piggie rescue to give our piggie to, we aren't a safe place for him and I'd rather give him a chance at a better home than keep him here where there's possiblilties of him being bitten by a dog :((( our dogs and cats, they thrive here but our piggie, he deserves better :((

A lot of times I try to look at animal videos that I’m not sure about as “would it be ok if it was a dog or cat” since people give so much attention to the treatment of them but not smaller animals or livestock animals. Especially for the animals in water stuff, would people be agreeing with it if someone put a cat in the water, no because it’s been drilled into our mind that cats don’t like water but since people do it with animals that less people are knowledgeable about they aren’t called out as often.
My rabbit had free run of the house and yard and would purposely hop to the middle of the lawn every time there was a thunderstorm, he seemed to like the rain.
When I had my fish, I'd only put my arms in after rinsing them off (no soap). My tank was too small to swim in, and it was just a bad idea in general Unrelated, but my Sunset Thick Lip Gourami (a fantastic alternative to Bettas if you are unsure of the genetic issues that come with their breeding) would nip at my fingers when I did that. It didn't hurt and it was quite funny. He was quite the funny fish. STL Gourami and honey gouramis are also great if people want an alternative to betta sororoties.

There's so many videos of people filming their cats killing or maiming things and than they intervine but than just let the animal go and say "no animal was harmed" 😐
I know. Such an idiot, *DONT RECORD. HELP THE DARN BIRD !!*
Makes me so sad and mad. I can’t believe these people
And throwing boxes at the cat too. Red flags everywhere for this pet owner
I agree, people can be so disgusting, if they really did care about their bird, they wouldnt be filming it, they would be trying to save it!

Also, your pfp? ✨amazing✨

Yes....It's unacceptable
They should’ve bought cat food for their cat,
@@AAAAAAAAAAAA4AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA even a well-fed cat will hunt out of instinct. In mixed pet households care should be taken that doors are always securely closed and if smaller prey animals are out of the cage, larger predator animals should be out of the room.
@@EvanKashvi Yeah, my cat doesn't catch anything though. She's a lazy fucker. But I love her.

TW: mention of fish corpse
Yeah.. Just wrong.
//tw bird death
the one with the budgie and the cat broke my heart. a couple weeks ago i was trying to save a baby bird only for my dog to pounce on it and kill it. that experience was absolutely traumatizing and horrible. i can’t imagine why someone would film that, let alone POST IT, instead of grieving and trying to recover from it. (the bird was buried in my backyard.)
I’m so sorry..
Sorry for that.
It broke my heart too. *Why would you post it. Don’t post, don’t record. Just. Help. The. Bird.*
Our finch survived a cat attack (the cat was at a vet’s office) she was VERY fortunate and she’s thriving today :)

It's like when people constantly bathe their ferrets because they're stinky. This is really bad for them since their skin oils get stripped off and their bodies usually end up overcompensating and making them MORE stinky than they were at the start :/

Mistakes happen and I'm sorry for your loss, I just went slightly off topic on a rant about when owners purposely do this with their animals. It makes me so mad

Especially for the animals in water stuff, would people be agreeing with it if someone put a cat in the water, no because it’s been drilled into our mind that cats don’t like water but since people do it with animals that less people are knowledgeable about they aren’t called out as often.
I love your informative, logical style and how passionate and knowledgeable you are about your subject!
those poor axolotls! this will just make the axolotl population lower than it already is :(
The natural population is low, not bred ones.
At this point, my faith in humanity has left me.
My rabbit had free run of the house and yard and would purposely hop to the middle of the lawn every time there was a thunderstorm, he seemed to like the rain.
0:01 so adorable! Such a cute cockatiel ❤️❤️
When I had my fish, I'd only put my arms in after rinsing them off (no soap). My tank was too small to swim in, and it was just a bad idea in general
Unrelated, but my Sunset Thick Lip Gourami (a fantastic alternative to Bettas if you are unsure of the genetic issues that come with their breeding) would nip at my fingers when I did that. It didn't hurt and it was quite funny. He was quite the funny fish.
STL Gourami and honey gouramis are also great if people want an alternative to betta sororoties.
agh,,, the cat killing the budgie video made me so mad and sad?? like i don’t understand why the person would laugh (or giggle?) when the bird is literally dying :(
Who wants to bet that every single animal from the tiktoks was in an undersized enclosure?
11:45 my cat almost ate my bird. I’ll never forgive my baby sister ever again. Because she left my door open while my birds were out and my cat got a hold of my male budgie. I heard screeching I ran to my room and all I see is my bird in my cats mouth. But my bird leg got caught in the cage and I have no idea how, but I threw my cat out of my room I return to my bird and… his whole tail is bitten off. I was having a panic attack like I was shaking so fast and breathing so heavy where the point I almost passed out, this was on Christian eve to. But sadly 3 hours later he died from blood loss. And yea so I’ll never forgive my baby sister for leaving my door open. I got a new bird which is in my pfp. Her name is Delta and she’s been with me for 3 months now. It took a while to make up for me to get another bird which took a year. But i got a hold of myself and got her and she made me happy :) I’m eventually getting another budgie and an African grey so I’m pretty excited!😁
That suck about your bird, btw the bird in ur pfp is so cute
@@d11.66 thanks😁
My sisters roommate had a fish that didnt know how to swim and would swim on its side until it came to a full stop and then it would float back on its stomach. It lived for a long time probably about a year before dying. It outlived its 3 siblings by months which was surprising
so now I get it! these Tik Tokers are the reason why axolotls are close to going extinct!! these Tik Tokers need to be stopped, they are ruining axolotls' lives 😢❤️
Only the wild axolotls are endangered(no hate)
extinct*
@@cryandruboneout7133 oh thanks, English isn't my first language
I'm so sad to see that people harm such innocent creatures😭
I've seen that last video on tik tok and people are leaving comments saying they want to hurt or kill the cat even though it was the OWNERS fault!!! I got tiktok because my friends pressed me to get it and do far I really hate it...
Yeah I noticed that too :( people always seem to blame innocent animals that are just being animals instead of humans.
@@sodapets Sadly, I just reported the video as well, I hope it gets taken down. Thanks for bringing awareness to this!!!
Axolotls lose their gills when they try to adapt out of terrible water conditions.
Your birds are the sweetest little guys ever! I plan on eventually getting a cockatiel on day and I love seeing yours
I love how even the fish in the background look happy
You have a nervous smile. That's okay, I laugh like a hyena sometimes because I'm anxious.
On tic-tac I saw a rat with its feet lodged in the electrical socket with the caption saying something like "torturing a rat because it ate my money" they kept flipping the switch and shocking the poor thing. I reported it and it came back in three hours saying "no violation"
Torture is in the freaking caption how is that not abuse?!?
That’s so terrible….
I love the fact that I got a Scruffy Bumps ad in the middle of this video. Anti animal abuse to the max fr
Pause at 11:42 (animal death warning)
The poor budgies bones were snapped and his stomach opened, and poured blood. That was cruel, if you have an energetic feisty cat, don’t get a bird. And if you have a bird, don’t get a cat.
Funny
Ugh. Those bunnies that they're forcing to swim are so beautiful I've been trying to find one of them (lionhead I believe) for awhile and then these people have 3 gorgeous ones and they decide to force them to swim... :(
The cat and budgie video is so horrible. Like srsly, there was no problem with catching a cat and trying to help the bird. Only if they weren't recording it. It looks like they just didn't care and wanted to get some views off of it. Its just sad
6:54 bro I literally freak out if I even get one drop of water on my bunny cuz I know its hard for them to dry of because of how fluffy they are this makes me feel sick to my stomach even tho it probably shouldn't
That intro is THE BEST thank you for making this informational content
I hate when people mistreat animals like as an example where I live there are many dogs chained up outside on a small chain 24/7 it breaks my hart to see it
I watched this with my sweet little budgie perched on my phone, all chirping and preening.... and the cat video really just made me sick to my stomach. Probably shoulda skipped it 😅 if that happened to my baby, i would be in so much panic. I can't imagine wasting precious seconds getting my phone out to film instead of trying to save the animals life. Some people are just... Just awful.
5:23 the interrupting cow.. wait no… bird?
3:16 this tiktok account is the reason why axolotls are going extinct
The axolotl's really made me sad but the intro and outro before the animated one really made feel better
I had a bird for 6 years one day we had to use the vacuum and i knew my bird was scared of loud noises the whether wasn't much but all of sudden it got very hot which led to the death was my 3 birds same day after that i felt like a terrible bird owner. since then even whie buying toys i search so much to make sure its safe
