i know bearded dragons dont eat leopard geckos but i once saw a tiktok of somebody showing their BABY leopard gecko to their ADULT bearded dragon and then screamed in shock when the bearded dragon lunged at the leopard gecko. of course bearded dragons arent going to be very friendly to young leopard geckos what did they expect
It's easy to get a hamster, rabbit or mouse for cheap and they aren't expected to live long anyways so people treat them like made in china discount shirts, throwing them away and buying a new one when they break, just with the addition of making a tiktok video about their "crazy" behaving pet first. There should be licenses for being allowed to own any pet but the cheap and easy ones aren't "worth" enough to be protected with actual treatment controls (money > everything else) so abusive fame wh*re sh*theads can keep going with their disgusting businesses. People who try to get attention by abusing their pets are the absolute worst psychopaths... like if you can't even treat a loving fluffy little animal good you're just a bad person from the depth of your rotten soul.
The one where the kid threw the hamster on a pillow, they’re only like 11 or 12 years old. It’s sad seeing all these kids abusing their animals on social media just for clout, it gives them a horrible mindset that all animals are expendable and you could just buy another one. It’s like that cat video where a young girl is holding a cat up and the second it makes a noise (in protest because it’s scared-she’s holding it by the nape of the neck-it’s a fully grown cat and that can be very painful for them) she throws it across the room and laughs, all for a TikTok. And the fact that they think it’s okay because others are laughing or giving them likes, is gross, and clearly their parents don’t care either if they’re just allowed to do it with no consequences
@@ness7342 yea ikr... i found a good, wholesome one where the hamster is currently recovering from a surgery and ah my heart i love that so much because it would be so hard to do surgery on such a tiny animal and it be healthy and thriving afterwards
@@midnaphai As someone who owned rabbits in the past (and didn't take care of them well) I feel super guilty for not being responsible enough, although I was younger. Right after one of them died about two years ago, I started watching a channel called "Lennon The Bunny" and I realized we shouldn't have kept her outside.. anyhoo it's too late now to go back, and its really sad considering the fact that she only got to live 5 years when the domestic rabbit lifespan is usually up to 10 years. However, I got a hedgehog a few months ago and now I keep him inside the house and take care of them. I just want to say thank you for caring so much about our small critters and animals
I love hamsters but they are really delicate for me so I prefer domestic rats because they are adorable, hardy and have a longer tail. Right now I have two cats so I’ve been putting off getting any rodents. While it’s gonna be sad to have my cats pass away, I am going to get rats in the future
To be honest if they were really saving them, they would pour the dyed water down the drain and put the animals with the Correct species if they won’t attack each other together.
yea just makes the whole thing not believable... they'd be serious about it when putting them into a big environment fitted for the certain species but throwing them all together in the same painted water where they'll die soon anyways is definitely far away from "saving", but closer to advertising to buy those keychain animals
@@GlowingTrashPanda99 the way they hold and keep the animal in the bag for several minutes just to show it to the camera + the colorful bins they put them in feels so off too, like they're just making "aesthetic" videos disguised as animal rescues :/
I don’t even understand why someone would buy that even if the person was sick. Like that animal is gonna die pretty quickly and then you’re just left with a rotting corpse in there and that does not seem fun for any kind of person. Like even if a person has no care for animal life, surely they don’t want a rotting corpse in their keychain.
even if they were "rescuing" them, they're just abusing them more by putting them in that really shitty environment. going from a small and suffocating hell to a bigger and overcrowded hell
I think it may be a way of making it not flagged as animal abuse. The creator of those TikToks: no we aren't abusing the animals we're rescuing them... from ourselves... Smh
@@kittenseven4269 it’s just ignorance. Tik Tok’s report function is legit broken and nonfunctional for like 95% of abusive content. The site practically endorses, not just condones this shit. I couldn’t even get a video taken down that featured a dog having a shard of glass placed against its foot for a skit, or another where an actor THROWS a puppy into a garbage can, ironically to make some kind of psa/statement against animal abusers 🤦🏻♀️
@@MsScarletwings what the hell? I don’t like swearing so that’s how mad I am So it’s okay to intentionally hurt your dogs??? I’ve stepped in glass many times and it HURTS so bad, but I’m able to put a bandaid on it and clean it. But dogs can’t do that! And I think paws are more sensitive than human feet but I could be wrong. Still, it’s just, not okay. I have no respect for people who think that it’s okay to do those kinds of things unless they’re children or beginners who don’t know any better.
@Wide Putin well, thats ok to some degree, like most things! If you mean you treat them all with love, great!! That's fantastic. Every animal deserves to be loved and treated well! It just becomes a problem when, for example with chihuahuas and "toy breeds", people end up doing many things to their dog that actually make it unhappy, such as forcing it to dress up, forcing it to cuddle, stuff like that -- that the dog clearly shows it doesn't want to do! But it's like, 'killing them with kindness'. The owners usually don't mean anything bad, they're showing love the way they would to a human baby and whatnot, showering them with what they THINK the dog (or any animal, this is just the example) enjoys without actually realising the body language and stuff that shows they're actually uncomfortable/unhappy with it. Also a problem with quite a few behavioural things sometimes, i.e. parrot owners are particularly bad about this I think.. they treat their pet birds like dogs, or children, and just want to constantly be up in their face giving them kisses and petting them all over and snuggling them, even sleeping with them in the same bed, thinking that shows the bird how much they really love it!!! And they do love it, of course. But the birds might not be comfortable with, for example, being held tightly and cuddled, or having hands all up in their face, and people invading their personal bubble all the time, etc. They forget to pay attention to what the bird wants and end up damaging the trust between them..! Not to mention petting a bird all over is a big no-no because it's sexually stimulating them and increases hormones and aggression (and can even cause health issues!), but many people don't realise. Because they see their bird enjoys it, but don't realise that they're enjoying it far TOO much..! And they're actually being kinda mean to their bird by sending such confusing signals and frustrating them.. Anyways sorry for the long rambling comment, I get carried away so easily when it comes to animals haha. Just like you, I love all animals very dearly.. so I can't help but talk a lot about these things xD
@Wide Putin TLDR: humanising animals can be a very problematic thing as it affects how we view them and their behaviours and more often than not leads to unintentionally poor handling of an animal, but as long as you aren't treating them as PEOPLE but as the animal that they actually are and thus recognising their actual welfare needs, it's all good.
I have a pond with a bunch of gods of goldfish. some are over a decade old, they're about a foot long, and have the most beautiful flowing tails and bright colors. they survive the pond freezing every winter, they're seemingly immortal at this point
@@prettyiestsnakealive ooooh, the relaxation koi pond game where you raise koi into Dragon's! I remember that. But no, there is an actual legend that if a koi/goldfish swims up a waterfall or lives a century or a 1000 years it turns into a Dragon. There's multiple legends throughout oriental Asia about it. Its pretty cool.
i often really hate when people humanize their pets, and it's the most harmful when i see it with reptiles or any other animals that barely have emotional function. people say that it's not harmful but it IS. small animals get hurt all because owners think that their dogs or cats need "friends" or jeopardize their reptile's health by taking it out of their tanks for too long because they associate them looking for warmth for affectionate cuddling. i have witnessed a woman kill her snake this way. of course, this isn't as detrimental as the other forms of abuse seen in this video, and animals do have their own form of feelings but it's not in the way humans think or behave edit: also another add on, i've seen a video saying "and they say lizards don't have feelings" while showing a lizard huddling up to its owner.... for a heat source. and it bothered me because LIZARDS DON'T HAVE FEELINGS. THEY'RE PHYSICALLY INCAPABLE OF IT. THEY DON'T HAVE THE BRAIN CAPACITY. STOP
Exactly this. Same with those videos where people feed their reptiles living prey like mice and rats, and the reptile doesn't eat it so they're all like 'OMG THEY ARE FRIENDSSS'. No, no, no, it doesn't work like that
Actually New research has shown that reptiles do have emotions though they may not be as complex as some mammals, that being said its a lot harder to read them, and humanizing them is still a bad idea.
as a reptile owner i am aware that they have low capacity for emotion but are very expressive in their own way and also they are kinda dumb and like snacks a bit to much
Agreed. I'm guilty of doing it too to be fair, and it's certainly hard to remind myself that no matter how cute and sweet the animal is, and how much I adore it, they don't think like I do. I have to mentally kick myself from time to time when I notice I'm viewing animals through a human lens, especially when it's my pet(s) or an animal under my temporary care since like you say, treating them as human-like can actually be very detrimental and often is. To clarify I've never actively done anything towards an animal that treats it as human, it's always just been small things like "oh look at his little face, he looks so sad/happy" etc. But as soon as I say it I remember that that is just how I see it and doesn't actually indicate their mood at all lol. Anyways, yeah, I agree. It's uhhh... an 'underappreciated'? Issue. Not enough people realise the harm in it and it's an incredibly easy trap to fall into, especially for people who just really dearly love animals. It's hard to talk about too, since many people don't see the harm or understand even if you try to explain, and just go on doing whatever they want to..
Commenter: Bro literally bought fish just to kill them TikToker: chill I released them into nature Also tiktoker: *Proceeds to stab a bag full of fish multiple times because that’s obviously the safest way to take an living animal out of a container*
Ikr that is animal abuse like cant you just cut a little opening and NOT STAB IT! then but it in a big tub or thing then release it? LIKE BRUH DONT GET A LIVING THING IF U Don’t KNOW HOW TO TAKE CARE OF IT! IT IS LIKE A HUMAN BABY!
@@l.a.broblox2703 don't even then release it. Give it to a shelter or otherwise find it a good, new owner. Captive bred fish, especially non-local species, do not belong in the wild. That's a death sentence to either the fish, the ecosystem's animals, or both.
Not only that but, It's made out of rubber correct? If that deflates and they dont get out in time, that thing is gonna deflate on them and crush them all together
I don’t know when or why this ever became a trend but it absolutely ENRAGES me. Why the fuck would you use a living animal for fashion????? It’s not even fashionable, it just makes you look like a rich sociopath. Like, you can easily just replace the animal with a plastic replica. There doesn’t need to be a live animal in that shit… if anything, the replica would look prettier AND cheaper. God I hate people
This trend is just so bizarre. They have to be aware, on some level, that what they’re doing is harmful and abusive. The cat video, for example. The owners had to have known that something was going to happen- maybe even counting on something bad to happen- when they put that little hamster down on front of their cat. The fact that they still posted it even though the hamster was injured tells me they put them together with the intent of having the cat jump on it. And even if they were THAT stupid to think nothing would happen, which I think is likely the case with Swaggy, they just double down and shift all the blame over to the animal because A) it’s easier to blame the pet than it is to take personal accountability and B) they can always profit off of it by making it a 3 parter where the injured pet is ‘taken to the vet’ and grieving over a dead pet.
Also the words they use are abusive, such as indicating the hate towards the dog it's abuse itself, because "poor dog he just wanted a friend". They're just shifting their responsibilities towards him to come out clear from their abusive actions. Who the h3ck are these people?
Not be to mention I think shaggy is literally a wolfdog hybrid, judging by his profile. His prey drive would be much higher than a normal dog’s, given that he has wild wolf genes, and they still put a mouse in front of him and acted shocked what happened did.
I was just thinking about the hamster throwing one, when did that all start? Like did they pick up their hamster one day and just throw across their bed, thought it was funny so they showed their friend and recorded a TikTok. That doesn’t sound like that hamster likes it, it sounds like they like and are just using the defenseless hamster for their own entertainment and clout
It takes money to feed the breeding fish tho, if they broke they can’t feed the fish and they will lose breeding stock and no more babies. It is only illegal if you get caught is my redneck saying.
Having worked in retail I can confirm these places DO NOT care why you're buying keychain animals just that people are buying them. Even if every single person that purchases them does it to "save the animal" they wouldn't care cause people are paying them.
For every one they “save” they are directly promoting these industries and telling them they should abuse more animals for them to rescue. It’s like saying you’re saving the local community from a bear when you give the bear a bag of Cheetos every time it mauls a toddler.
about the keychain person. People noticed that certian turtles are being repackaged so some think that girl is making and selling those and advertising it by rescuing them without telling people she is actually selling them.
i wish that more people knew that these were going to be trends and that they would make the videos more educational instead of treating these animals badly. poor fish, poor lebron jamez.
Right?! The fact they had to put that warning in the first place has surely got to make them question what they're doing even a bit.. "huh, why do I need to SPECIFY that my pet isn't getting hurt? Maybe what I'm doing is a risky thing that puts them at danger and would thus result in comments concerned about this? Maybe I should just not do risky things, and thus not need a warning? ...Nah just gonna block the "karens" in the comments haha." like.... yeesh
ever since i've watched this channel ive felt so bad for my goldfish as a kid, I got him at a carnival when I was 5 and they gave me such a small tank for him. But when I was younger I wanted to become a vet, so sometimes I would put him in the biggest bowl we had- it was like 3-5 gallons, and I would just let him swim in there for hours at a time, even when I was done cleaning his tank I remembered I thought he always looked much happier in the huge bowl, so I would keep him in there until my mother told me to put him back in his tank.
The important thing is that u have learned, I also feel bad about how I used to treat the pets that I had but it won’t do any good feeling guilty. The best thing to do is learn more so that the next pet u have will have a good enough life for the both of them.
"Making amends" is a good way to restore your own feelings of guilt and do something that makes a difference. If you want and can afford to, definitely look into keeping new fish or pets, in the best condition with the best care. You get your do over to restore your conscience and soothe your guilt, and the animals get a good quality of life they may not have. Definitely don't do it until you _know_ you can afford the cost and have the time. Or find other ways like a donation to pet/ fish rescue or local wildlife organization. Being proactive goes a long way!
the one with the cat dragging around the hamster made me flinch so hard. it isn't the cats fault, its in cats nature to do that, and the hamster cant fight back
People who feed hamsters to other animals should at least have the decency to let the hamster die naturally first. Nothing wrong with a sky burial, everything wrong with scaring a living animal when you could have just not
The video of them cutting open the capsules with the turtles in also the way they cut it open so fast looks like they might have nicked the turtles leg in the process? Even if not it's still horrible
It honestly looks like they're intentionally trying to cut as close to the animal as they can. Like they make a normal cut that opens the bag just fine, but then they intentionally cut close to the critter a second or third time. I think they've nicked a couple of the animals before.
I live in a city that has a Japanese garden (we're sister cities with a city in Japan, and they actually sent landscapers over from Japan to build this garden, it's just lovely), and the pond there had koi fish in it. Koi fish are really long-lived. I remember naming some of them as a toddler, and they were still there as a teenager. Some kid released their goldfish into the pond, and it got all of koi fish sick. Every single one of them died. Years later, my coworker, whom I hadn't known at the time, admitted it was her sister who released the fish. I wanted to break her nose. Don't release fish into the wild! Especially ones you just got! You never know if they're sick. I got a very healthy looking fish from a shop once, and it turned out it had ich. Goodbye tank. Just because you get it from a shop doesn't mean it is 100% healthy, and you never know what immunities a population of wild fish will lack. Just... god, I wish people were smarter....
I remember this mall near me used to have a giant koi fish pound. They we're there for years. One day they were all gone. I'm starting to think something similair might have happened and now I'm sad.
What makes this even sadder is that Japanese koi fish have been known to live well over 100 years of age. I think the oldest one ever was a Japanese koi named Hanako that lived to be well over 200 years old.
That channel with the bags with turtles and newts in them seems to frequently cut the bags twice. The first one is cutting off the corner, but the second time, they squish the bag and almost cut the animal inside. I've noticed this patterned throughout these kinda of videos.
@@sodapets the other video you made of them you pointed out them knicking the newts leg while cutting it, i wanna believe she is buying them to save them but the fact theres no filter in the water, the turtles and newts have no heat lamp, theres nothing for them to use to get out of the water will cause disease, theres a puffer fish with these guys and their tub is extremely small and the fact she just about cuts a leg off everytime she opens a bag and puts the poison water in the tub just shows she doesn't care about them. i think keychain animals are cheaper then normal pet buying so she buys them this way and theres a ton of boxes around the tub so its possible she has them in the boxes waiting for their "unboxing" video
@@_nails__4__life_477 they are 1.50$ each...i looked it up online and thats how much it is...i mean yeahhhh thats cheap but for how bad the conditions are for the pets i cant say thats worth the price then i could see selling em as cheap as 50c each in how bad the conditions are but honestly for how bad the conditions are i would say 1.50$ is actualy a rip off cuz the poor animals most likelyy wont live long so on top of being HORRENDOUS conditions 1.50$ is honestly quite a bit of money for tiny animals in those conditions i can get a tetra for only 3$ after all
I have a Doberman Pinscher. She’s a dog. No matter how sweet, friendly, or well-behaved she is, she’s still a dog. Dogs tend to have high prey drives. It’s just the facts. I would NEVER leave my rats out in the open for my dog to have easy access too. I will not set up my dog to fail like that. I feel like that would in a way be testing or teasing my dog into it. No. Never.
I used to have a rabbit and after I had him for a couple years I got a cairn terrier. A dog specifically bred to hunt small animals like rabbits. My dog would always try to get the rabbit and I felt bad because I could tell the rabbit felt scared but I was a kid and my parents said it was fine and didn’t want to do anything about it so I reluctantly let it be. A couple times the dog got to the rabbit and really scared him. He never got hurt (we took him to the vet) but he would be so scared he would be shaking and I would have to carefully look after him for a couple days. My rabbit ended up dying after a couple years from unrelated causes. I always felt really bad because I know my rabbit often suffered after we got the dog. I selfishly kept him because I loved him too much to let him go but I ended up hurting him more. I knew it was wrong to have the dog so close to the rabbit and I should of stood up for myself and made my parents come up with proper arrangements so the rabbit was comfortable. My dad would always joke about how my dog wanted to eat the rabbit and my dad would also often joke about making rabbit stew. My dad would never intentionally hurt the rabbit but those comments are definitely disturbing and shows he didn’t care for it as much as other lives. It makes me sad that I had to hurt my rabbit to learn but at least now I know to never do that again. I’ve really wanted a pet mouse for years but I chose not to get one because I would be putting its life at risk by keeping it in the same house as my dog. I won’t make the same mistake again.
I was scrolling on TikTok Yesterday, I saw a rabbit eating candy, straight up candy! And the owner just captioned Sugar rush. I can't believe people don't do research anything before getting the pet. Like u have a job too be responsible and to make sure u did research before getting any pet, I did this with my cockatiel and she is eating the correct food, she is happy, loves cuddles. Like that I did my research and got the right cage, feeding her good, not giving her candy or in general, anything she can't eat.
The one we’re they’re “rescuing” the keychain animals. The tub they’re putting them is is just as bright as the keychain. Same aesthetic. Really makes you think. I definitely think they’re the ones that also makes them. They’ve set it up to be too pretty for just rescuing, it’s bright and eye catching, it’s just for views. It’s still animal abuse if they’re going to live like this.
putting dye in a small tub of water is still animal abuse especially for the turtles who will most defiantly get she’ll rot without any land or light to bask in.. probably similar for the newts too, i’m not an expert but i feel like they shouldn’t be swimming all the time, at least everytime i’ve found one as a child it was in moist places like under logs in swampy areas, they weren’t even swimming but maybe there’s different kinds.. regardless there’s no filter no temp. and a bunch of unrelated animals thrown into a small tub of colored water.. the most unnatural thing i’ve ever seen smh so sad. there’s no way they don’t know what they’re doing especially if they claim to care about the animal. if they did, theyd do proper research so they don’t cause more harm. sick. at least there’s people like you in this world who make sure their animals live an amazing life 😇
@@simpletoastvibes no. Salamanders are usually terrestrial. You kind or aren't wrong though. Newts are salamanders but salamanders aren't always newts. Kind of like how tortoises are turtles but turtles aren't always tortoises.
This makes me sick to my stomach, people treat them like toys for views then throws them away. I’m so glad that New Zealand doesn’t support carnival fish. Edit: I forgot to type this, but I’m so happy that Soda is making these videos to tell people which is animal abuse or not, I love how she spends hours to tell people that this is pure abuse, I’m so proud that she made this, plus she is from my country, and I feel so lucky that she is representing us like this, good on you soda!
Anthrophomorphasizing dogs they literally fed that poor mouse to the dog and those pink dyed ears! I hate people using pets as fashion accessories. Dye your own hair even if dog dye is safe.
I still don’t understand why willing goldfish in fairs is still a thing. I live in the UK and despite having pretty ok laws (once again not perfect, the dangerous dog act and the bs DWA license still exist) and you still see them from time to time. Seriously, if it was something like a cat or puppy forced into handbags and put on racks to be won everyone would be losing their minds!
seeing the poor hamster at 12:35 genuinely almost made me cry. hamsters are such fragile little creatures, and the way people treat them which such disrespect makes me sick :(

In second grade my school had a puppy for auction (I don't remember if he was a stray or rescue or not) but my friend's parents won the auction for like $500+ I don't remember the exact amount, but she loves him and she still has him to this day and I've visited her and he's really happy and comfortable, at least there was a high price for him unlike many other living animals such as fish and bunnies because they aren't really considered "real pets" for whatever reason.
Ye so true I paid nearly 300 for my rabbit from a proper breeder and my mam still thinks I’m crazy but he is so spoiled and cute and I love him so much but I also got a rabbit when I was small and my mam said like 40 for her which I think is so low because she worth so much more and I had a litter with them and sold the babies for 150 each and they went to good home there are now spayed so I won’t be doing it again
A lot of these were awful but I did spend an inordinate amount of time rewinding the baby fish “trampoline”. It was just so freaking adorable. At the end of the video to help the anger and sadness after seeing all of the abusive TikToks I went back to those baby fish again for some more jollies. Thank you Soda for educating us all and bringing the horrible things to everyone’s attention but also for bringing us so very much joy. I loves you!
i remember i won a fish at a fun fair when i was really young. it came in this plastic box with a handle that was clearly too small for it. the fish died really shortly after i brought it home. i haven’t seen any fish as prizes since, however, it’s still completely legal where i live (in england).
I'll admit, several years ago I won a fish at a fair, at the time I didn't realize how wrong it was. My fish is still alive and I take very good care of him but now that I've done my research I will never support those types of carnival games again!
my school has carnivals in their play-yard and they used have carnival fish games. they would keep the fish in, i kid you not, GARBAGE CANS. the garbage cans were completely over stocked with feeder fish, and not to mention, there were probably hundreds of dead ones in there. the older kids at my school kept getting fish then going to the back of the yard and abusing them. they cut them in half, stabbed holes in them with pens, played catch with them, and no adults that i told did anything. i went over there trying not to get noticed and grabbed 7 bags of fish. i took them home and named them monty, willy, penelope, jack, chester, wally, and nikki. 6 years later they are all still alive and living happily in my pond. they also got HUGE!
15:16 i think it is super suspicious that the packaging on the "toys" are all the same and that the items inside them are the same ones from the tank that all of the "saved" animals are in. Why are they all the same... it just feels like they're the one that makes those "toys" and puts the animals in there. Honestly so frustrating and an awful thing to do.
I have two cats and I talk to them like people, but they're so easy to read when they're pissed or angry if you just get to know them. Why do people hurt their animals? They're such lovely companions, and although I'd call my cats my best friends, they arent human and dont understand when they attack things that its wrong. We had mice in the apartment once (infestation, not pets) and we didn't yell at our cats when they tried to kill them. Thats what cats do! we caught the mice and set them free outside.
When I was little I used to see those fish are carnivals and want one thankfully my parents said no no matter how much I begged to try and win one and much later on I educated myself on fish care and set up a tank for endlers livebearers fish with live plants, proper substrate, proper filtering, and th3 correct Lighting
Animals have so much personality. I remember going to a (humane) exotic pet store in my town and there were two baby sulcata tortoises. One was laying down just trying to rest while the other was running around, even climbing on its roomate
There’s this trend of releasing dove/pigeon into the “wild” in my country. The problem is they bought the birds from street seller, releasing it in the city as a good feeling things. I meant, why would you release them in the city where there’s no resources and place they can make nest? And when you buy them from the street seller like you are “rescuing” it, you just contribute to their economy. They gonna breed or catch it again.
That fish in the nail thing reminded me of the shoe company that put goldfish in the soles of shoes about 25 years ago. Fortunately public outcry got them to stop
The fish in the nail looked so stressed and trapped. Imagine being in a bright place in a small amount of air and the rest being water, and then put in an even smaller place you could barely move around in, strange material all about you, and then put right back into the first place.
My cockatiel perked up when he heard yours chirping at the beginning. I trained him to come back to a certain whistle, and your cockatiel almost perfectly mimicked it, so my grouchy potato got confused and hissed at my hand. Anyway, it's not often that I see creators bring attention to these terrible trends. It's good that you're bringing this to light. Also, Luke's Goldies (RUclips channel) would have a heart attack with the goldfish ones
I really appreciate your commentary on these tiktoks, you always have great takes! My area of expertise is with herps and ferrets, so sometimes I don't know enough about owning other animals to make an educated judgement, but I can always count on your videos to inform me! :)
Also with the animals in tiny bags, I looked at that account and there is several turtles that are well- Pale, Not moving, and clearly unresponsive, So.... Dead turtles
With the carnival ones we've also seen ones where there are a bunch of tiny bowls (like think the size of a deli cup) with Betta in them, and kids have to literally throw stuff at them similar to a ring toss, and if they land it in one off the bowls they get to take it and the fish. It's absolutely horrible
I went to a carnival on the last day and when they started to put everything away and leave, they asked if I wanted them. I said sure and took them home. they died shortly after be ause they had been in the bags for about 4 or 5 days.😭

would clipping chicken's wings be bad? like, it's obviously debilitating for more-flighted birds but chickens really don't fly much so would it affect their normal behavior aside from the occasional jumping of fences?
Clipping chickens wings isn't bad. Like you said, they're flightless birds. Clipping their wings therefore doesn't limit them in any way except being able to jump high, which doesn't majorly impact their lives. It actually benefits a lot of them, as it stops them from escaping out of people's property by jumping fences, which usually ends in them being killed. Anyways yeah, in short it's perfectly ok to clip chickens wings, just not flightless birds/birds that need stimulation by flying.
@@youreinvalid8493 not being able to get away properly will cause them harm. clipping flight birds wings makes them unable to fly or control flight if they do catch air so the same would happen to a chicken or duck or whatever, if an anaimal is born with teeth, antennas, nails/claws, or wings leave them alone or dont get them as a pet
@@_nails__4__life_477 you very clearly don't know what you're talking about. Chickens don't need to "control flight" because they can't fly. The fact you're trying to compare ducks and chickens is embarrassing..chickens are flightless, ducks are constantly flying.. Comparing teeth and claws (which as essential for the animals that have them) and clipping the wings of birds that FLY, to clipping the wings of flightless birds is absolutely ridiculous. Clipping your dogs nails to avoid them harming themselves of you is ok(as you're still leaving the claws and they can still use them), as is clipping a chickens(as they still have their wings and can glide when necessary), but it avoids them escaping or harming themselves trying to jump someone. Chickens can't possibly "catch air", if you mean flying. If you mean gliding, they still do that with clipped wings. Do research before "correcting" people or pretending you know what you're talking about.
@@_nails__4__life_477 your comparisons are genuinely so ridiculous. You have absolutely no valid points in your comment. Your statement "if chickens didn't need their wings then they wouldn't have them" and comparing it to declawing makes me question if you actually know what clipping wings is. You're acting as if clipping a chickens wings is removing their wings. You also need to stop bringing up small, flying birds to better your statements, since that's not at all what we're talking about. Clipping the wings of a bird that can fly/needs flight stimulation to be happy is disgusting and people who do it shouldn't be allowed birds. However nothing else was valid. Chicken can still catch a small amount of air with clipped wings, just avoids them catching enough air to get themselves in difficult situations. They can still jump on and off of things because they still have all the strength their wings originally had and can still glide. They have complete control when jumping to and from things as long as the wings are clipped evenly. The loss of control you're talking about only occurs if the wings are clipped incorrectly. It doesn't at all "limit an animals mobility". They can still do literally everything they could do before with the acception of catching more air than needed. Your paralysed person in a wheelchair reference just proved how little you understand the situation but I'll play along if it'll make you feel better. Clipping a chickens wings for absolutely no reason is stupid and something that nobody does. It's done when a chicken keeps jumping fences/getting themselves in bad situations by going somewhere they shouldn't. In the 'great comparison' you made, you'd be cutting off someone's legs for no reason, which isn't what we're talking about. They're clipping the chickens wings for the good of the chicken. So no, amputating a paralysed persons legs for no reason isn't ok, but if their legs were causing issues/there was a problem in their leg that's putting them at risk, it's the right thing to do. Same as the chickens. Their wings are still completely usable. The fact you're saying my head is up my arse and calling me immature just because you disagree with something (which you're wrong about, might I add), tells me you're either a child or a very immature adult yourself. Insults have no place in a decent conversation, which it appears you can't have. Either way I hope you grow up/educate yourself on the topic rather than getting defensive and refusing to admit you may be wrong. Considering how you're speaking I can safely use your own phrase against you and say your head is far too much up your own arse to hear any side of the conversation other than your own. I usually end most conversations on RUclips with some sort of compromise or by telling the person we don't agree but that's alright, but I can see by your immaturity that that won't be the case with you..so I'll just end this here and let you know I won't be replying to any more mindless comments, I don't have time to waste on things that are clearly going nowhere. Feel free to respond or get the last word on if it will make you feel better, or don't. Either way I most likely won't be reading and definitely won't be replying to whatever this is. Either way, I hope you have a great day!
When I went to adopt a pigeon, I thought the breeder just kept them in a normal pigeon loft... but no, it was a tiny rabbit hutch out in his backyard. There were like ten pigeons in a space that wasn't even big enough for a single rabbit. There was one pigeon who was clearly the runt of the litter so to speak, he was less than two months old, had barely any tailfeathers, had several bald spots, and the other pigeons were pecking him all the time. I felt to sorry for the little guy that I bought him. BUT. I wouldn't have done it if the breeder hadn't told me he was selling the last of his pigeons because he wanted to give up fancy pigeons and wanted to focus on racer pigeons (which were free-roaming except for one couple that also lived in that rabbit hutch). The pigeon is almost four months old now, fully grown, and is thriving.
The cat and hamster is how my friend’s hamster passed away. Her little sister’s friend took it out and let the cat in and thought they were playing and the cat killed him. It wasnt my friends fault cuz she wasnt even there when it happened and i cant imagine doing that on purpose
I have made a DIY egg incubator for my dad's bristlenose catfish babies. 3x medicine measuring cups from things like water conditioner bottles. poke a few holes in the bottom of the cups, fill the first cup with gravel to keep it from floating. place cup 2 into the first cup so that the eggs don't touch the gravel and get stuck. place an air stone into the second cup, eggs on top of that and close with the last cup on top upside down. Turn the air stone on low and boom incubator. It's a bit janky but it worked every time.
Idk why, but the one with the cats and hamster gave me intense anxiety. It reminded me a little too much of my bunny, Amazo's death since our dog just randomly attacked her out of nowhere. It hadn't happened before and we'd had the bunny around for 5 years, so we werent expecting it. Now days we keep our bunnies and dog separated so that won't happen again (like if the dogs are out the bunnies are in their cages, and Visa versa), but I still get extreme anxiety from those type of situations. Sorry about the ramble, I just needed to talk about it to relieve some anxiety after watching that. I'm extremely upset by the owner since they were aware of their cats wanting to attack, and I just wanna yell because when a tragedy strikes like that, it hurts far too much.

Just wanted to thank you so much for speaking up for animals, especially smaller ones like rodents, fish and birds. There is just so much misinformation about them around and people think they are less worthy just cause they're smaller and don't show affection the way a dog or a cat would. I got 2 gerbils about 2 months ago and they are the cutest lil things ever, I love them so much and I wanted to show pictures of them to my classmates and one of them said that ALL rodents carry diseases and that he would kill them, it just hurts so much that no one tried to talk to him or make him understand how wrong that is other than me, even just joking about it is wrong cause it's normalising that sick and disgusting mindset. You truly are a role model and honestly you inspired me and probably a lot more people to do research on animals even just for the fun of it. Keep up the good work! 💖

It’s sad that people humanize some animals like dogs or cats but at the same time they view fish as objects
And both are so problematic in their own ways.. sigh.
I can’t stand pet fish personally I find it weird

There's multiple legends throughout oriental Asia about it. Its pretty cool.
i often really hate when people humanize their pets, and it's the most harmful when i see it with reptiles or any other animals that barely have emotional function. people say that it's not harmful but it IS. small animals get hurt all because owners think that their dogs or cats need "friends" or jeopardize their reptile's health by taking it out of their tanks for too long because they associate them looking for warmth for affectionate cuddling. i have witnessed a woman kill her snake this way. of course, this isn't as detrimental as the other forms of abuse seen in this video, and animals do have their own form of feelings but it's not in the way humans think or behave
edit: also another add on, i've seen a video saying "and they say lizards don't have feelings" while showing a lizard huddling up to its owner.... for a heat source. and it bothered me because LIZARDS DON'T HAVE FEELINGS.
No, no, no, it doesn't work like that
Actually New research has shown that reptiles do have emotions though they may not be as complex as some mammals, that being said its a lot harder to read them, and humanizing them is still a bad idea.
as a reptile owner i am aware that they have low capacity for emotion but are very expressive in their own way and also they are kinda dumb and like snacks a bit to much
@@ruby-lizard If the reptile doesn't eat right away, it's probably just not hungry at the moment...

@@Bad_pug_from_2009 @lampy there being sarcastic
Off topic but I love your pfp
Also the words they use are abusive, such as indicating the hate towards the dog it's abuse itself, because "poor dog he just wanted a friend". They're just shifting their responsibilities towards him to come out clear from their abusive actions.
Who the h3ck are these people?

I was just thinking about the hamster throwing one, when did that all start?

That was stressing me out the entire time too! Like make one cut only please!

It’s still animal abuse if they’re going to live like this.
putting dye in a small tub of water is still animal abuse especially for the turtles who will most defiantly get she’ll rot without any land or light to bask in.. probably similar for the newts too, i’m not an expert but i feel like they shouldn’t be swimming all the time, at least everytime i’ve found one as a child it was in moist places like under logs in swampy areas, they weren’t even swimming but maybe there’s different kinds.. regardless there’s no filter no temp. and a bunch of unrelated animals thrown into a small tub of colored water.. the most unnatural thing i’ve ever seen smh so sad. there’s no way they don’t know what they’re doing especially if they claim to care about the animal. if they did, theyd do proper research so they don’t cause more harm. sick. at least there’s people like you in this world who make sure their animals live an amazing life 😇

my school has carnivals in their play-yard and they used have carnival fish games. they would keep the fish in, i kid you not, GARBAGE CANS. the garbage cans were completely over stocked with feeder fish, and not to mention, there were probably hundreds of dead ones in there. the older kids at my school kept getting fish then going to the back of the yard and abusing them. they cut them in half, stabbed holes in them with pens, played catch with them, and no adults that i told did anything. i went over there trying not to get noticed and grabbed 7 bags of fish. i took them home and named them monty, willy, penelope, jack, chester, wally, and nikki.
Those "rescue" videos are horrifying, I'm happy to have never heard of these before these videos because that's a new level of cruelty
I also heard that at the end of the carnival the fish that haven't been won are just dumped on the ground and left to die
This is definitely one of my favorite channels on this entire platform.
I trained him to come back to a certain whistle, and your cockatiel almost perfectly mimicked it, so my grouchy potato got confused and hissed at my hand.

if you wanna get your dog a friend, get another dog. if your dog is socialized, that will make them way more happy than a *mouse*

would clipping chicken's wings be bad? like, it's obviously debilitating for more-flighted birds but chickens really don't fly much so would it affect their normal behavior aside from the occasional jumping of fences?

You can see the animals of soda pets are like SO happy seriously , i ain't a fish and bird expert but when your bird sing all day happily and imitate their owners or stand on their shoulders for long periods of times it usualy means they are comfortable and happy x)
(and same for the fishes they swim arround livingly and sometimes relax in the underwater streams just to suddenly swim quickly some place they wanna explore , those look like some very happy pets to my eyes at least c: )
naming a dog "Swaggy" should be animal abuse tbh
3:56 it’s allowed in the US still. As a kid my sister and I got 2 fish from a. Game. One died overnight. The other loved for almost a year but I was 9 and had untreated ADHD so I literally forgot to feed him 1-2 days and he died. And I cried.
I now want to give my rescue squirrels (nonreleasable) a cat tree to play on when we get their new set up made!
Also I could watch a compilation of just Yuki doing your intros.
Thank you for bringing light to these messed up accounts. I cant tell you the amount of times ive stumbled upon an account like these and wish i had a platform to do something about it.
It makes me so happy when you upload new videos!
Nice pfp
@@kyliviie2903 uno reverse. You have a cool pfp.
when i was a kid in the mid 90s they also offered young rabbits as a prize option at local faires...thankfully that's not in practice anymore but i can't imagine the stress something as notoriously delicate and anxious as a rabbit might be in in that environment, not to mention sudden rehoming to kids who impulse won a rabbit they couldn't take care of.
When I was much younger I found a bag of carnival goldfish when I was walking home, there were 25 in total most died but one of them ended up living for 17 years. I loved that fish.
i had a hairless (rescue, wouldnt buy one from a breeder) and man theyre so cute, but they got crazy health problems n tend to die a lot faster than regular rats
Awww yuki saying your intro then looking at you like “why aren’t you giving me attention😤” is honestly the sweetest thing 😂😭
One of the worst is grown up over weight people riding miniature horses and other animals sheep and calves.
The way your bird says your intro: I think he needs his own channel.... 😂😂❤❤
Yes, definitely!
yuki singing your intro omg 🥺🥺 cutest birb ever … also oml the fish nail 😭 that’s just next level ridiculous
I’ve been binging your videos, crying several times because why are people LIKE THAT, and all of these videos are making me miss my rats so much. (They passed away several years ago, brothers passed within a week of each other) but the apartment I have now is barely big enough for me and my cat, I can’t have the half-the-living-room-habitat I had for my boys anymore. I shall just have to giggle every time a bird lands on you instead. 🥰
