I witnessed girlfriend do this medley in Atlanta,Ga when her and Armstead divorced and the pure emotion poured out during "All by Myself" was raw,it was very real,and everyone in the crowd saw it and they felt it too because after her hitting that note at the end,it was all over honey!! The pumps came off and the tears were flowing heavy fro her and the crowd. I looked around and everyone,man and woman we crying their eyes out because you could tell she was still going through those feelings.Besides the New Year's Eve show at the same location(Fox Theater in Atlanta,Ga),THAT show is my 2nd favorite of her's i had seen because we got to see Patti being Patricia who had gone through divorce and trying to bounce back on her feet.Even though her and Armstead no longer wanted to be married,they both agreed it was best,but guys think about this. After being with someone for 32yrs and then they are no longer in the house,it is like a death in the family.Anyway,this performance reminds me of that special,special night.It gave me goosebumps then and lawd knows it is now..go ahead Ms. Patti and i really hope to get to see you again before you retire but i just don't think that is going to happen.I am honored to have seen more than a dozen shows and have the honor to meet you of those dozen or so shows,at least 9 times and for you to remember my face but not my name is all the more better because i never expected you to remember my name with all the people you know and have met,how could you,but my mug you remembered ;)...I love you sweet lady to the moon and back.
I saw this show in NYC. It was incredible. The VOICE! She will one day get her just due! One of the greatest of all time. She can sing circles around the original artists! SHE IS THE ESSENCE OF AN AMAZING TALENT. Shame on President Obama for not giving her a Kennedy Center Honor!
The Kennedy Center Honor is an arts award President Obama has nothing to do with it, 200-300 names are given every year and they are narrowed down to the 5 or 6 that get the honor. The Presidents only obligation is to host the recipients once they are named in the White house and then attend the taping 4 days later when they are honored at the Kennedy Center

AMAZING!!!! She's the best everrrr! She can sing anything, by anyone, anytime...and do it better than anyone! The best female vocalist of all time!!!!
