One of the greatest players to wear the Ireland shirt, no question.
my hero, always has been. always will be
Paul has paid his dues. Why do eejits in RTE want to talk about his alcoholism from the past. It's well publicised. We should be celebrating Paul not digging all this up again.
nice guy. Good luck Paul.
I grew up watching Paul play for Ireland, he was worth a goal a match. Legend.
The man lifted and carried the nation. If the boys of today are half as good we'll be lucky.
paul mccgrath is a great footballer and man and gentleman hes a popular man because hes a decent man hes the greatest footballer to ever grace the jersey ireland your my hero paul mccgrath hes a decent man ordinary decent football he represents what footballers should be about!
Legend among legends just a top bloke.
Why no mention or reference to the huge portion of his career (when he played his greatest football) at Aston Villa? During this period he became a world famous defender for Ireland and Villa: PFA Footballer of The Year, a member of the 1990 FIFA team of the year, a Wembley cup winner twice? (Before the days of clubs buying trophies).
A very disappointing and predictable interview from RTE.
almost like he's interviewing him without anyone in the room, think before you ask a question maybe?you're talking to a legend.
Here here. People actually want to hear about his playing. Best centre back ever!
What a legend :-)
I took a picture with Paul McGrath outside the Aviva Stadium. It Was Ireland Vs geogia
Best player ever to wear an Irish shirt.
legend, i hope all the best for you paul
LEGEND
Best of all time in his position!
Quite simply "God"
best irish international. yet tubridy chooses to focus solely on the alcoholism. typical rte
Legend
spot on
Rte, put the whole video on youtube or a direct link to the whole thing from your site, rather than just a generic player link.
And yet no-one will talk about Gerry's coke?
Oh ah Paul mc Grath I say oh ah Paul mc Grath
Paul McGrath was one of the greatest Irish players ever. But to say he was better than Roy Keane or Johnny Giles is to say too much. All three were clearly world class and we should just leave it at that.McGrath and Keane together against the Italians in 94 was incredible
good on ya !!!!!
It's 3:21 of a 15 minute interview. Jumping to stupid conclusions, typical RUclips comment.
should have sent him to poland ......drunk sober would have been worth half that team
FIIIIIIIIIIVE PAUL MCGRATHS!!!!!
4 Paul Mcgraths,
3 Paul Mcgraths ....................
Thanks RTE for not mentioning the club he played the most football for, the club that saved his career and made him one of the greatest defenders in the world: Aston Villa F.C.
Quite astonishing really how the media spins and shapes things.
No wonder Ireland is full of gloryhunters.
it's not funny
Instead of gloryfing his drinking with stupid comments about McGrath winning MOTM awards while drunk, perhaps RT could have questioned him about all the wreckage left behind by his heavy drinking.
