- In today's video, my 2005 Acura RSX Type S gets some FANCY Hybrid Racing and Password JDM goodies! I've been wanting to add more special touches to my K-Series motor, and these did just that! We also checkout the XTOOL IP819 Diagnostic Tool and I explain why my hood is missing...Enjoy!
Since installing the JDM Integra Type R valve cover on my RSX, I've been wanting to add a few more OEM+ mods to the K Series engine. Hybrid Racing makes (what could be) the nicest Slimlock dipstick and Oil Cap I've ever seen. So of course, I had to get the Hybrid Racing Coil Cover to match! Once I install a fuel rail on the RSX, I'll make my decision to run the VTEC cover or not. In my previous video, I teased the Password JDM Carbon Fuse Box cover. So we install that and WOW. Weirdly, that made a much bigger difference than I expected.
Compared to when I first bought my RSX, this engine looks insanely better and will hopefully continue to improve. Also, a shoutout to XTOOL for sending overt he IP819 Engine diagnostic tool. I figured that would be helpful down the road, so it was cool to play with it and demonstrate what it can do! It's pretty wild compared to a traditional code reader.

The RSX has quite a few little diy free mods that can be done to clean and tuck the engine bay a bit. You can flip the bracket on the power steering line to have it sit behind the valve cover. The throttle cables can be routed along the sides and under stuff to hide them from going over the engine, the clutch reservoir bracket can be modded to tuck the reservoir near the brake res. Other things there are cheap or possible with engine management is ditching the evap hoses, the clutch line, the fuel line, and the battery relocate

Looking good. I didn't think Password:JDM would have stuff for my 92 Civic EG9 so I've never actually looked. Pleasantly surprised and bookmarked some stuff.

Cool goodies for sure. The snap and beholds had me in stitches. Damn those boxes for not opening😮. Got to get me one of those Xtools seems a bit like the Autel which is good only at 1/3 the price!

Recently got a white valvecover for my k24 9th gen si and added k tuned oil dipstick got a good deal on it now waiting for the oil cap and spark plug cover as well
You can dye the factory dipstick orange to black with some rit dye. I did that to my oem dipstick so it matches what the type r is like. You can keep the sliver cover that way.

Edit: Dip stick and oil cap is insane, imagine if the Password:JDM cover was the actual cover with all the fuse info underneath. That would deff be something to BEHOLD!!.

Looks way better you can just get a extra cover & trim it Latommyla just did a video & he had to trim it doesn't look bad you can't even really see that he did if you want after you trim it put a piece of rubber trim on it so it looks better like the one ya use from the s2k lip trim

Is running a valve cover breather better than running tubing on the cold air intake? Supposedly those filters are bad but it would clean things up a bit

noticed theres a slight gap underneath the passanger side headlighght. I had the same prob as well, its very minor but once u start seeing it, cannot be unnoticed? Find a way how to fix that issue?
You just have to bend the bracket back up. I don’t really notice the gap on the black as much
@@ALLDAYANTHONY i see. Yeah with black paint its really not that noticeable. Mine is white and the gap is bigger. So It looks like an eyebag. If only I could show you a picture of it.
