I often lose intrest when sailing channels leave the boat but videos like this are what set the Wynn's apart from the rest. They are true documentarians. I really enjoy the adventures they share with us. Stay safe.
Thank God for 'friends' like Joshua, who shared his passion with you and therefore all of us. We never, ever would've been exposed to that remotest of remote locations without his assets, skills, local knowledge & tools. Wow, gratitude only scratches the surface. Thank you both for filming, exploring & remaining upbeat during some pretty cold weather to get us all there as well! Whether a coral reef out of the normal cruisers alleys, or Fjiordland National Park- we are blessed.
Remember, you're not lost...you know precisely where you are not. The Kiwi scenery is nothing short of eye-popping!! The noise from that landslide must have been incredible...it was giant!! Thanks for another award #Wynning episode!
My wife doesn't watch youtube videos but is a professional gardener and nurseryman. I told her about your hike in the forest, so she watched it, enjoyed it and she watched a few more of your videos until she had to go outside and water plants. Good job.
This might be the most beautifully shot vlog in a while... the colors of the moss as youre walking through is stunning. The best places are the hardest to get to! So inspirational!
When I visited NZ back in 2006 it was pointed out that the amount of lichen on trees and other surfaces, was a good indication of how clean the air is. Where you have visited in this video indicate it must be amazingly pure. Thank you for sharing your adventures,
Wow, thank you for taking us on this journey, incredible! That mudslide area, yikes! Thank you to your gracious host Joshua, for being a wonderful and generous guide! 🇳🇿
You step into the road, and if you don’t keep your feet, there is no knowing where you might get swept off to. -Tolkien I think this is the most fitting quote to your channel and lives. And my personal favorite 😊
Lovely, reminds me of the mountains in Ireland. The colours in the video are wonderful, all the the greens, browns, silvers, that really takes some skill to photograph let alone video. Having appreciated such a landscape, it was reliving it is this setting. Love how Kiwis protect their land. The hut was amazing, a sign of a civilized society, and with a lowish population density.
So glad you wisely played it weather-safe and decided not to visit the waterfall. Because life _isn't_ Instagram, and there will always be more right around the bend, eh? And what a privilege to be able to see first-hand a Kiwi taking an active role in protecting native wildlife. Thank you so much for sharing yet another amazing perspective. As always, stay safe out there!
Wow!! I had to stop the video and play it on my tv so i could truly see all of the beauty you captured!! Such a gorgeous place. Thank you for sharing it with us❤️
Thanks for helping conserve the native birds! Invasive predators really wreak havoc on native birds all over the world, not just in New Zealand. I appreciate you bringing attention to this important conservation issue.
Loved the Tolkien quote, so appropriate in so many ways. Tolkien, having never traveled to New Zealand (to the best of my knowledge), never the less described it's fabulous landscapes to perfection in his books. I am so grateful, as a life long Tolkien fan, that Peter Jackson (a native born Kiwi and director of the LOTR films) chose his native land in which to film his version of Tolkien's epic story. Also grateful you chose to include such a great quote. I have been thinking about living as an expatriated USA citizen in a foreign (to me) country and New Zealand is #1 on my short list.
Great to see you made it to Fiordland. I have spent 55 years enjoying the area and it still fascinates me. If you have an opportunity to go back make sure you get to Breaksea, Dusky, Chalky and Preservation to see the even bigger grandeur of what Fiordland has to offer. Look forward to seeing where you go next.
I *love* this guy!!! He's the real deal! Taking care of rodent traps while hiking and guiding (except for losing the lodge 😂 temporarily 😂😂) Thank you for sharing the beautiful country!
Spectacular! What a place the South Island is - that was just a beautiful reminder - so pure. When I was there, I got the feeling that if you stood still for more than 20 minutes you'd have lichen and moss growing out of your ears - and that I wouldn't have been at all suprised if a dinosaur walked out of the forest - it's so primeval there! I imagine after getting a bit lost in the woods, that lodge would have felt like the Ritz... Loving the videos - you guys are such excellent presenters / hosts - safe travels!
We love seeing the places that are only accessibly by boat but this was even more special as a local was showing you the ins and outs of the area. What a special episode!
What a interesting guy Joshua is, there’s too few people like him…. I’m so glad we got to see more of the way people live & the things they care about, that being said, I think you could probably make a best selling video in a empty room! It really was wonderful to see! Thanks!
NZ is full of people like Joshua, especially the south island. We all realise how insanely lucky we are to live here and we dont mind sharing, particularly with people who can appreciate the beauty also.
You have taken your always beautiful and exciting adventures on and off the waters and somehow advanced them to a near dream like amazement. Your groovy friend Joshua has really helped you guys raise the bar on natures wonderment. The greenery was so off the charts. More like something from a fantasy movie, filled with mystical creatures, or at least three humans. After seeing what I just saw in this episode, I don't think I could ever leave that place. Thank you so much for taking me along.
The quote was beyond appropriate for the place an moment!! What an exciting episode guy's. I really have enjoyed every single moment of NZ... It's a special place... Thanks for sharing your lives with us grateful ✌🏼💗😊❣️
Birds have been in steep decline all over the world in the last 50 years (30% gone!). They are as much our needed pollinators as bees, and ever so much more filled with grace and inspiration. Grateful for the kind of care that Joshua does!!
While look at them Wynn's living life and spreading love everywhere. Mom must of rubbed off on them 2 lololol 😝😝😝 By the time that sailboat gets built they gonna feel like they hit the billionaires club. Big cheers for Joshua for sharing his love and passion and combining it with the Wynn's love and passion. 🍻🥂🍻🥂
OMG! What a side trip! Joshua, the real Deal! Kiwi to the bone! Seriously, the bugs there are Ick! I would not like that one Bit! When I flew into King Salmon and Dillingham, AL the Black Flies would fly up your nose! Awful! White Sox would bite you when fishing for Salmon; it would not sting until they were gone! They were midget Vampires! The endangered birds are precious; I am amazed at the clever traps. The Cabin/Hut was definitely a bonus for safe housing overnight. What did you cook and eat? Great Rugged Adventure! COLD! Here in Florida today it is 88F feels like 99F!
Really enjoy your travels and thanks for introducing us to Joshua. I watch several RUclips shows. Yours keeps bringing me back for more. God bless you and protect you as you bring your world to all of us.
BRILLANT 2 of your best vids ever in a row , Adventure Plus , Jason fist pumping at the front of the boat was a crack up . If you get back up north see if you can go Whitebaiting best game fishing ever >
My words are inadequate!! 🤯 But…THANK YOU for sharing this journey with us! I’ve never had NZ high up on my travel list, but I could visit and never leave this life-changing location! Godspeed, Wynns! 🏔🛶🪺🦆
Lake Te Anau has some glow worm caves which I visited in 2001 or 2002. Besides the magical display of light created by tiny critters, stepping outside the caves after sunset revealed amazing star visibility and great viewing of the Southern Cross!
A thank you and an apology. First, I am saddend a little to say, I'm behind on y'all's videos. I have not been able to watch like I used to. Second, THANK YOU! Your channel, as well as Adventure Van man, have been a staple in my life as well as a massive source of encouragement, lessons learned and resources found for the past 7 years or so. I already thanked him but it's y'all's turn now. The reason I am behind on watching your videos is because my family and I just sold our house and went full-time. Been just over 2 weeks now. I love you both and maybe we will run into each other in y'all's upcoming stent back to the States. ❤️ Be well, feel blessed and God speed!
It’s a little detail thing, but thanks for putting the temperature in Celsius as well as Fahrenheit cos I don’t understand Fahrenheit, and saved me having to leave to figure it out
Another wonderful episode. I spent my childhood family holidays camping at Lake Te Anau. Best part of the country 🙂 I still go down for a week every year to reminisce about days gone by and remember my Dad who took us all through lots of those tracks and staying in the Doc huts. Special memories, you made me a very happy Kiwi this evening. Thank you Thank you Thank you 🙏
From your video, Fiordland reminds me so much of southeast Alaska, where I live. It is a temperate rainforest. We love to wander trail-less through it but we have one thing that Fiordland does not - Alaska brown bears! I'm envious of being able to wander in the woods, up rivers and up mountains without fear of predators!! A cool adventure you had!
The COLOR (colour?) in the forest looked like a filter!! Then there’s the NZ pronunciation wah-pit-EE, vs. Native North American pronunciation wah-PEET-ee (elk). 😁 Each video you create there becomes my new favorite! You’ve really made lemonade during your time on land. Thank you for another Sunday delight!

That's the kiwi way. We are proud of our country and often refer to it as god's own. Consequently we will bend over backwards to share it with you
Beautifully put David. I'm in total agreeance.👍🏻
Welcome to the great south lands, NZ and across the ditch on OZ
You may not be sailing right now but this series has been spectacular! Thank you!!
I was thinking the same thing. 👍
There was a little boating involved.
I am a NZer and a sailor .I absolutely love the way you have portrayed NZ in your videos .You really seem to get across the feel of NZ .Thank you
Wow this one just show how spectacular New Zealand is. Thanks Wynns !!!
New Zealand scenery is so diverse. There really is something for everyone in this country.
Really enjoyed that one. Thanks Nikki, Jason and Joshua (what a nice bloke)
All I can say is WOW!!! Thank you so much for a great adventure.
Remember, you're not lost...you know precisely where you are not. The Kiwi scenery is nothing short of eye-popping!! The noise from that landslide must have been incredible...it was giant!!
Thanks for another award #Wynning episode!
Love what they call the Bush :) Beautiful
What a treat being taken into Fiordland National Park. Off the beaten track as well. Top kiwi bloke there.
My wife doesn't watch youtube videos but is a professional gardener and nurseryman. I told her about your hike in the forest, so she watched it, enjoyed it and she watched a few more of your videos until she had to go outside and water plants. Good job.

Beautiful! Cold! But beautiful.
When I visited NZ back in 2006 it was pointed out that the amount of lichen on trees and other surfaces, was a good indication of how clean the air is. Where you have visited in this video indicate it must be amazingly pure.
Thank you for sharing your adventures,
wow! that's super cool to hear. the lichen and moss was my favorite part thanks Tony
The 7m (23 feet) of rainfall per year probably helps as well.
They say the same thing here in British Columbia.
What an amazing host and guide Joshua is!
One of your most beautiful videos EVER!
Wow, thank you for taking us on this journey, incredible! That mudslide area, yikes! Thank you to your gracious host Joshua, for being a wonderful and generous guide! 🇳🇿
Smashing ! 😍 Loni & Al

In love! Thx for sharing. Amazing video.
Thank you for taking me to a place I've never seen nor hardly new about. Great episode
Lovely. My daughter lived in NZ for a year. Brought me back some possum yarn. Softest stuff on the planet. Thanks for helping the birds
Thank you Nikki and Jason for this spectacular film. Beautifully shot !
That looks amazing! How beautiful.
Wow!! I had to stop the video and play it on my tv so i could truly see all of the beauty you captured!! Such a gorgeous place. Thank you for sharing it with us❤️

The lushness of New Zealand. 👏Fiordland National Park and camping facilities. 👍Thank you for hosting this beautiful location.🌄
The stunning beauty of untouched land brings me to tears.

As always I enjoy your videos. And I can’t think of enough words to say how beautiful New Zealand is and how friendly the people are. Thanks

Great video guys. Glad you can experience different aspects of New Zealand and take us along for the journey.
Good on Joshua for persevering through these conditions to do his part in trying to return the biology of NZ to it's natural state. Beautiful place.
Incredible thanks for sharing your adventures.

Wow. Your videos are seriously stepping up. Jacinda Ardern should thank you for the amazing advertising showing the beauty of NZ.
You've got to love the Leatherman Wave - sooooo useful!
Stunning.
Spectacular is an understatement.

Just confirmed how much I wish to see New Zealand in person! Thank you for giving us this wonderful glimpse!
What a magical place!
