People tend to come after you when you get older and weak, but in Russell's case he's older but not weak because of his lifestyle, therefore he's able to defend himself. Hold on to your mental and physical health for as long as humanly possible.

Just look at how relaxed and comfortable his day to day living is. No crazy super fans running up on him and taking pics of him every 2 minutes. He looks like he's able to live a comfortable lifestyle.

The only way to be fully compassionate and present is to embrace suffering. To be close to it. Buddhism does not teach to find ways to not suffer. Quite the opposite. I don’t know what Russell thinks he is practicing. Yoga and meditation is not to quell suffering.
