I have been enjoying watching your garden tours, they are very relaxing and you have done a fantastic job of making something that looked ignored and disheveled, look cared for and very incorporated with nature. I love the way you fill your garden and have everything flowing together. Great work!

wow you can see that you have done so much work here. I think every year that I spend in my allotment, makes it so much easier the year after, It is amazinf how much you can do in such a little time, but how beafitual it is to have a space for a long period of time.

Much enjoyed your Sept post. You have had a wonderful harvest from your hard work. You have encouraged me and I have has a good summer planting. I sent one of your post to a friend who is a master Gardner and she loved your post. Glad you had a good birthday for 30. I also had a great birthday celebration and thank you for your kind wishes to me. You are a delight. As an American I love your accent. You are so positive and expressive. I do hope your boyfriend is worthy of you and appreciates you. I have 4 grown sons and did
Miss not having a daughter but if I did I would have hoped she would have been like you. You need not take your time responding as I am a fan who looks to you for encouragement. Blessings on you. Jim, TN, USA

Great tip about videoing and photographing your plot from the start so you can see progress. I've only had mine 3 months and already I can see some changes from the wild grassy mess! I've created 3 beds so far but have covered the rest of the plot in black plastic to suppress the grass/weeds until next season. It's not pretty but it works. Thanks for all the fab tips :-)

It was fun to see your allotment five years ago compared to now! I have enjoyed looking back at old photos from before we started our garden as well. It’s such an encouragement when you’re feeling tuckered out. Our September has been extremely wet in the Pacific Northwest USA. we are hoping October still has a little life left in it to help finish off the last of the fall crops. Sending prayers for sunshine so you can get your jobs done as well!☀️ keep up the good work!

I just discovered your channel and highly compliment you on your presentation and content. Your garden and shed look just great and I loved the fact that you preserved so much of your produce that you showed in your Christmas Video from last year. I haven't had time to look at the other videos yet but hope you did some on how your preserved your produce. Look forward to seeing future videos. I garden in the Central Valley in California where we only get 12-13 inches of rain all year and we get NO RAIN from Nov to May....so it makes gardening in the summer a challenge. Loved the robin that followed you around in your garden and the gentleman who sent you the drawing of the robin is so talented. Anyway...didn't mean to let this note get so long but wanted you to know how much I enjoy your chats.

Hi love your plot. I put my tulips in pots in my unheated garage so you could do that and keep them in your shed. My garage was rather dark and they got leggy I needed to put the pots outside sooner. But this is a good alternative. I also planted some outside with plastic bird netting, that did work but was a pain as you pointed out and you need to remember to take up the netting before the tulips get tangled in it...so yeah a pain. But the pots in the garage did work and that wasn't so bad. Not as good as in the ground but an option non the less.

It’s astonishing what you have accomplished in such a short time. I love your tours young lady, I am much older than you but we share a birthday week! So happy belated birthday to you and your allotment. Here in the middle of the USA we have had an absolutely tropical summer. It’s been hot as is usual for us but it has also been exceptionally rainy ever since last spring. Everything is lush and green and I am so grateful for it, but things are not growing the way they normally do. Watching this on October 1 and I harvested eggplants, peppers and tomatoes today. It’s 10:00 pm and still 80 Fahrenheit with 70% humidity outside. Loving hanging onto summer but I hate to think of the repercussions when it comes to a screeching halt and the poor winter crops will be so stunted from the heat that most of them are no bigger than a thimble. Who knew? Just participated in my first seed swap on IG last week and another next week. Looking forward to finding your IG account, thanks for mentioning it.

I love your videos, rain or not. I started out with just 2 small raised beds on a balcony in 2012, doubled that in 2014 when we bought our house. This year I got the opportunity to rent 50m2 and I will be doubling that next year. I'm learning so much..since growing on such a scale is quite a different story. But I love every minute of it. Your videos make me looking forward to next year even more, seeing all the stuff I want to grow as well hahaha.
Thank you for another uplifting video on this gloomy day. In the Netherlands here, it pours en pours just as badly! But I see a strip of sunshine, so of to the allotment between showers it is.
    Garden greetings, Debbie

It looks great with so many flowers still in bloom. I must really get on with my foxgloves and garlic planting. My favourite thing to do with apples is stewed apple/apple sauce. Just peel and chop apples, add a but if water and stew it until it falls apart, you can use a potato masher to mash it, make it smooth or leave bits as you like. Pour into jars and sterilise in boiling water bath, it will last for a very long time. The other thing I saw on American websites was apple pie filling, I don't know the exact recipe but it was basically apple with all the spices so that any time you feel like having apple pie in winter you can make it quickly with filling from a jar. I would love to see a picture of all your jars of preserves :)

Plant your tulips in wire baskets (1” or 25mm mesh) that will stop the rats although it could be squirrels as well. If you make a box out of weldmesh 10mm mesh or less the make the lid out of chicken wire .

I finally got a dehydrator this year. It’s been a boon for this year’s apple harvest. I’ve done loads of plain apple rings. But also some flavoured apple crisps: chilli jam; sugar cinnamon; teriyaki & soy; citric acid & lemon; lemon chutney. You can coat apple slices in anything and dry them. They keep for ages. And I’m doing fruit “leathers”. Running out of jars, tubs and shelf space now.

I love your videos. I'm only new to your channel but so look forward to them. Have you tried making apple chips,? You can either use a dehydrator or the oven. You can make them plain or sprinkle them with cinnamon and then make the chips. They are soooo good. Applesauce is another good one to try. And ofcourse Apple Pie, though I'm not sure how well a pie will keep - it will still be really scrumptious with some tea on a cold, wet day.

What about encouraging a few cats? I know they can do damage but I have 2 of my own and 3cats that visit or pass through our garden on their way home. We have a corner plot in a cul de sac (we have a large garden and use half of it for growing our veg). I use my flower beds to encourage them to use as their toilet keeping them well topped up with my own compost so no smells or little parcels on the soil. We live next to land that is wild so there are plenty of rodents. While I don't like to think of any animal in fear and pain my cats do kill the rats clean and quick. Then the carrion crows come and take the the rats so nothing is left for the flies. Just subscribed to your channel, nice stuff and congratulations on the new job. Before we down sized our other garden was a walled garden on 3sides, lovely! All the best.
