Why let people live free when you can keep them penned in a big city like cattle and give them debts and jobs to pay those debts. Then you can give them enough superficial amenities to have them believe it was all worth it, and get them to raise the next wave just the same. Civilisation can be both tremendous and beautiful but also dark, squalid and reductive to the human spirit outside of its natural habitat.

    This is a great story of prosperity and eco-friendliness. You definitely deserve the over 1 million views. The farmer really is living a dream of sorts. He's trim, and gets to make money doing a great service. The customers of the store are great too for supporting local agriculture. Truly inspiring stuff.
    Say, how does he deal with bugs eating his vegetables? Surely there must be some predators. His crops look flawless. How does he fertilize the soil? Where does he get the mulch from? Does he buy seeds for save them? Where does he buy his sprouting soil?

      @@actanonverba91 I agree, the main thing I find is to try not go into debt (or as little as possible). I'm just finishing my current degree this year, but it's hard to find motivation to study when you know you the degree is not gonna be useful in my situation (Law degree). I basically turned 180 degrees in career interests. Thanks for your insight.

      Start with googling woofers. I am sure that you are young enough to travel? Where I live it's a good place to start. Our Valley here is called the " Huon Valley" and we need workers!!!!
      Motivation is a mindset. If you want something, simply make sure that you have focus and determination to get it. Perhaps some Jordan Peterson or Alan Watts??.. Let go of the past and live the life you want. Parents will understand. I have had money and I was not happy.. Only you are stopping you. Let go of the western 9/5 philosophy that screws with mental health 😁 and start.. Just start

    • @katnip2u
      @katnip2u 5 лет назад +21

      Mulch! Retains moisture, when broken down provides nutrients, stops weeds, and keeps the soil cool for the plants AND BENEFICIAL critters, including worms, who fertilize your soil for the plants. If the whole organism of the garden is happy and balanced, sickness and even bad bugs don't strike or do minimal damage. It's the same as with humans: when you're run down and your immune system is weak, the same bug that doesn't affect others gets you sick. Also, companion planting helps to prevent bugs from finding a host. Making the garden inviting for beneficial insects and birds who eat the bad bugs helps too. If you have chickens, feed them only garden scraps in the afternoon/eve and starve them for protein and then release them for the last hour or two of day light into your fully ESTABLISHED veggie garden (one just like Jim's, not a freshly planted one, where the chickens would scratch out, trample, snack on .. young seedlings)--they'll clean it of bugs, slugs, etc in no time.

      Just an advice: if you haven't done intensive hardening like this, know that it is physically demanding. HOWEVER, your body may feel the workout at the beginning of the season (especially if you haven't been active prior to the growing season), but in a few weeks you become stronger and a month later you're super fit and feel no strain at all working long hours (if need be, depending on the size of your garden).

    There are people with acres of land. And they never grow a garden. And here this brother has only an little lot and growing so much food. Like I say too those who will listen. There should be gardens all over the world. Fruit trees for miles colorful thing's growing every where. No one should ever go hungry. No one should not have too depend on a 9 to 5 just too be able too afford food. And I'm not speaking of blood food's or process food's that is not soul food. Soul beings eat colorful food's. Much love brother, and what a great love for that you do.
