    1995, zu Weihnachten, kam dieser Film in die Kinos. Er war ein riesiger Erfolg. Die Chemie zwischen den Beiden stimmte. Und die Besetzung ist wohltuend, den es sind hervorragende Schauspieler dabei und sie müssen nicht jung und makellos schön sein. Es ist beste Unterhaltung und darauf kam es damals an.

    This 1995 remake is 10 times better than the original. This one has better humor,better acting and is more believable. Ormand is dazzling every second she’s on film. The original has Hepburn falling for a short, bald,drunk,walking ashtray like Humphrey bogart??? You gotta be kidding me?????

    • @benoncle1468
      @benoncle1468 Год назад +13

      That's not it. There is so much humor in the 1954 movie, just the lines and the background characters doing silly things is hillarious. On the other hand Sabrina falls for an old, short, powerfull man who has drive in life and builds factories, and is so charismatic his proximity makes her fall for him. Of course she falls for him.
      Ford did a great job, made Linus less stiff, but it's just the era who is expressed in the way to play. It's not the 50s anymore, it's the 90s

      You're talking about Bogart. One of the greatest stars from the Golden Age of Hollywood. It's not all about perfect looks. He was a very charismatic actor and he was extremely witty and sardonic as Linus. I loved his chemistry with Hepburn. The remake with Harrison and Julia is fabulous too. You don't have to knock the classic 1954 version of Sabrina to praise the 1995 remake.

    Don't like the reviews...
    Saying it doesn't live up to the original.
    I see it as the other way around.
    The original silly movie doesn't live up to this beautiful movie.. top acting, top dialog. It's real life. I couldn't tell if Ford was telling a fib or not. Yes he's acting the whole time. That's why the studio hired him. But, inside the movie, I couldn't tell how much he is manipulated Sabrina or if his emotions for her are real. I liked this movie that seems realistic... Most of the end part was not believable... It almost seemed like the production rushed things to meet the catering truck. The last ten minutes became better again.
