I've been told by my Husqvarna dealer that you should do a 5min+ idle and then go to a 75-90sec full throttle rip-cut in a log big enough to allow for that when you first fire the saw up on 1st tank of fuel, says that calibrates it.. also told me to run 40:1 instead of 50:1
I have an ancient 550xp. I put a new piston/rings in. Ran like crap. Asked around to upgrade the firmware...$60 ish. The reset works, but would like the newer firmware without getting graped.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and knowledge enjoy your Chanel as well as Buckins channel great content talent and pride ! 👍love to send you my 572 some day and let you work your magic! Thanks again from Bill in upstate NY
I'm running a new 592 for about a week. 6-7 tanks of fuel. when I'm in smaller wood, limbing or bucking small stuff (4-8") such as cleaning up a crown etc. the saw sounds like it is "4 stroking" , great power / torque when in the cut, but as this is my first autotune, I just want to ask ... what I'm experiencing with 4 stroking, is this normal? thanks for the great videos, love what you guys are doing out west
That bench is pretty nice! I didn't realize that Buckin's Rip Saw was auto tune, I should have clued in lol It idles so darn great and it makes sense why now. That has me convinced that the auto tune setup is a good thing for sure.
Good stuff. You mentioned air leak makes it run rich - I would have thought the opposite due to excess air allowed in the system? Or does the leak not enable air flow through the intake meanwhile fuel continues to be added?
I have never reset my auto tune on my 555 or 592. I just run it until it runs good. Sometimes when I change air filters or the temp swings a bunch it’ll run bad for a bit but I just keep cutting and it magically fixes itself in half a tank of gas.
Got a new 592 that RIPS, but after initial startup, it won’t idle for more than 10-15 seconds. It started blubbering and dies so I am having a hard time letting it idle for that 5 min. Any tips/advice?

On a non auto tune it would run lean and blow up but auto tune selfs adjusts for it dumping to much fuel in them to compensate
@@donnywalker4691 Thanks Donny, cheers

good info well done for a old bloke 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Stump Grinder.
Nice bench!
Having issues with my 565 it runs no problem on high idle but soon as you blip the throttle it cuts out, doing my head in to be fair its a new saw

Nice 😊 🤠👌👌👍💪🌲
But what if it does not run on idle?... only for 10-20 sec. My 560xp just got new piston..
On high side it looks good, but I'd like to do break in first. Press and vacuum tests passed OK.
lots of experience with low quality gas taking the main jet out and causing die at idle issues. Bad gas takes the carbs out.
Idk what the old schoolers in denial say, the new autotune stihls, husq are f'ing great !
Couldn’t said it any better. The Husqvarna auto tune saw’s just run and 40 minutes a tank is even better
I was 30 ft up a tree by myself when my husky started high reving.
I had my scrench, which was worthless in this situation.
