TC Carson performed an acapella version of Bill Withers' "Grandma's Hands" and changed the title to "Ndugu's Hands" in honor of drummer and U.S.C. Professor, Leon Ndugu Chancler at his funeral on March 6, 2018. The arrangement was a combination of T.C.'s extraordinary baritone timbre and his powerful "beat box" tom fills designed to pay tribute to Ndugu's massive talent as a percussionist. I was aware that T.C. is a serious vocalist but had no knowledge of this recording as I just happened to stumble upon it. I am pleasantly surprised to see that Ndugu was the drummer on this session so TC singing at his funeral makes perfect sense to me now. Solid performance of one of the most iconic pieces of music ever composed. Great job T.C. R.I.P. Ndugu.
