The logs are different, some of the things around the mountain such as the drop, and along with the animatronics. It looks a little different than today, but it's still the same splash-tacular ride that we all know and love!
I went to the source files and watched both times through the ride. The second time seemed a bit muffled. I think getting wet on the first pass damaged the mic.
Splash Mountain has been there 30 years, things are going to change, hopefully for the better. If you compare my video with a new one you can see that most of the animatronics are smoother and more articulate. I just wish they’d fix the fountains in the Laughing Place.

I think it was refurbished 2 years ago, they didn’t fix the fountains then.
the 90's version of zip a dee do dah sounds better then it is today
I think they need to remaster the original tapes. They sound muddy

Ryan19812012 like many things at WDW, their Splash is larger and spread out. The rides are essentially the same but DL has the original.
I like Disneyland’s logs a lot better the single file formate resembles more of an actual log
