Sink is real.. at least you had a nice big field. Enjoy that new harness! You'll like it. I sometimes unzip, and switch to uprights, then it's easy to step out of boot at anytime. But who knows, I'm probably doing it wrong.
Thank you. I probably won’t touch the zipper until I have well above 1000ft flight. I want to do it when I have plenty of time in the air. For now just foot in and out is all I’ll do. Whatever the way you feel comfortable and safe is the best method😉
Great flight! You are a natural!!! Your transition from prone to flaring was perfect! Awesome!! Your flare was perfect too. Your hands were really high on the down tubes which made for a perfect landing. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome!!!! Sky Out!!
Thank you for sharing this footage! My 18th flight is coming soon, and it will be my first time in a GT pod harness. It feels like I'm really, really off balance just hanging in it from a strap, like I wouldn't be able to get my feet under me, and I was worried about pulling off a foot landing. I watched your two consecutive foot landings (well done!), and I think your video is really going to help me on my upcoming flight.
Wow that’s exciting your first flight in your pod harness is coming up! I’m not an instructor so I can’t say much… but what I did is until I started feeling comfortable and getting used to putting my feet in and out of it I didn’t zip it up. Any change I kept it small and one change at a time so I didn’t overwhelm myself. Honestly I’m still not 100% comfortable with my harness yet. Hope you have an awesome flight in your harness!!
@@nanoraflyz I had my first pod harness flight a couple days ago and the instructor said to not zip up on those first few flights and to practice doing zips while hanging on the simulator. That first flight, I cross-controlled HARD up until base to final when I finally realized what I was doing. 🙄Next flight I was more conscious about it and got cleared to launch from the ramp on my own (which is nice but I’m still going to request an instructor for several more days). Hope you are getting good air!
molto bello il tocco d'atterraggio quando porti il piede in avanti e aspetti di toccare😍 mi manca il deltaplano, un giorno voglio riprendere a volare...
Thank you so much☺️I’m honestly surprised I got subscribers. Hang gliding is such a niche thing and only shrinking. So the side note about my channel, I just started sharing my aerial silks experience and progress using Shorts. I’m finally starting to get female audience from that. There are so few female hang gliding pilots, I’ve been really wanting female to check out my hang gliding videos so this really could be a good thing!
Just put my order in for this same harness. Do you still like it? Have you flown your Falcon yet? It’s going to feel like a Porsche compared to that Alpha.
Woohoo excited for you! Yes I love that harness but honestly I feel like I haven’t broken in yet. It was just when I first time zipped up and down the harness we lost Steve. Now with a new glider top it’ll take some time to get used to flying again. Blue got reassembled successfully, now waiting for it to be test flown. Once that’s done I can start my training. I know this sport, patience, patience, patience… Hope you love harness too!!
@@nanoraflyz thank you for your reply! Here in Utah we have big hills to launch from so today I did another sled ride down from the top of the South Side of the Point of the Mountain. Not sure when my harness will come in but borrowing my instructor’s training harness until then. Looking forward to your first vid with Blue! I like how you named and anthropomorphized him. Maybe I should name my Falcon as well.
Ahhhh I’m probably not the right person to ask to about glider price😅 it’s all depending on the manufacture and model but if brand new I imagine it’ll at least be USD4K up.
I find it alarming that you unclip your harness. I was taught that you set up tour glider, clip in your harness and never unclip it until you are ready to pack up. Stupid people have been know to pick up their glider and jump off a cliff, forgetting to clip in and do a hang check, they then fall to their death. That's not possible if you never unclip your harness. Just some advice from a veteran pilot, take it or leave it.
Thank you for your comment🙏 It’s probably my video editing that’s making it look like something is off🤔 I wore my harness made sure leg loops are clipped chest zipped and the buckle on and other things, do hang check and attach myself to tow line. My instructor is watching and making sure everything is in order before I say clear too. Once done flying, then I unhook myself from the glider, take off harness to get on his golf cart to get back to the start line. There is a methodical system and order in place but you don’t see it all in my video. Steve is a very conservative and strict instructor. Although, I’m probably not the most conservative type pilot, having set of his eyes have been wonderful. I can’t have him with me everywhere I go, my goal is to learn to be an independent pilot. Again thank you so much for this comment☺️
