Hi Karl, what are the chances for an Electrical Engineer with 65, 70 and 80 points for 189 190 and 491 Visa offshore ? And which visa can get invites easily with lower points ?
Hi Karl, I heard about the 30375 places for the 189 Visa in the 2023-24 Planning levels. Can you confirm if this number is for invitations or the actual granted visas? Also, do we know how these places are spread across different job categories? Any info on that? Thanks!
Hi, please I need your answers. I worked from 2018-till date as a System And Security Administrator in one company. But during my employment with this company, I did a diploma of 2 years (2018-2020), during my study, I worked part time all of which are 20hrs or more per week. Please how much skilled employment did I have? Because I see there's two years interval after qualification before you earn skilled employment. Please
Looking at the points of invitations indicates that many of them are borderline cases. This suggest that many skilled applicants are not applying. Gone are the days when we say one needs 80 points plus and above to be in position to be successfully invited..
However we also have to keep in mind these two factors. 1. Many people submit multiple EOIs to maximise the chances. 2. Those are health related occupations, which are tougher to get skills assessment and tougher to complete.
@@estellebright2579 I am sorry, But tougher occupations aren't a criteria. And each and every occupation had their own toughness too. The only difference is that these occupations are prioritized. Its a fact stated in the immi website. I can conclude and disappointing to see, that those at 65 points and being selected are less skilled than those with more points but not selected. So gone are the days when we can hold our head high and say higher points had higher chances of invitation. Meritocracy had gone down the drain. Occupation list becomes obsolete. Why don't we just be honest and tell all those applicants that only health is being priorities....and will be selected. Don't give them false hopes.
@@thetruthinquirer if those are not tougher occupations, why so many invites sitting at bare minimum of 65 points? There would be no health and teaching shortage if everyone flocked to study those degrees years ago, and the occupation list would be something different. Also, you do know Australia is still in the peak of housing crisis, right? While they say migrants are not the cause, nevertheless fewer people coming in means less additional pressure to the strained housing market. And Labor government definitely don’t want to be blamed for accelerating housing crisis. With that in mind, it is no coincidence why they issue invites to health and teaching occupations only. It is sad that we have to live through this, but even in that massive 35000 round invited on Dec 8 2022, those popular occupations (accountant, engineering, IT) don’t get scores lower than 85 either, compared to consistent 65-70 scores for health and teaching. There is a reason why those occupations invite score remains that low, because competition for them are low.
I think you made a mistake when looking at invitations issued by the state. NSW still has a large amount of invitations available, the number shown is just what's already been used.
Hi Karl, I am offshore candidate for Project Administrator occupation and submitted my EOIs 3.5 months ago with (75 points for 190 and 85 points for 491). When can I receive invitation? Please respond. thank you
Let's say I nominated myself with ANZSCO Web Developer (261212), and then got a job as a Software Engineer (261313). Is this a valid role that will add to my working experience in my field?
Are those numbers about the actual nominations(the ones that are approved and “uploaded” to the eoi by state) or do they count invitations to apply for the nomination as well?
Hi Karl, I received invitation for 190 from NSW in November 2023....Is there a possibility of visa not being granted after receiving an invitation. I'm so desperate to migrate to Australia. Just asking for your opinion...
I have 75 points (sitting NAATI next month to try adding 5 more) for 313214 Telecommunications Technical Officer or Technologist for 189 Visa. I am current living on the Gold Coast (regional). I am not working in my occupation, so I am not able to try the 491 and find a job here has been really hard. I know that for 190 in VIC there is no job requirement, but I have to living in VIC. I wonder if it is worth to move down there? Is there any change for 190 in VIC for 313214 Telecommunications Technical Officer or Technologist?
Hi Karl - we received invitation in Oct'22 round non priority, still waiting for grant. It's stressful. After seeing 189 new invitations for priority. Looks like we need to wait again a longer period, as we are non priority.
@@calvinnwoohooits more than just a waiting game. 1. You must make sure the material particular remains the same during the entire period. This include relationship status. If you declare yourself to be single, you cannot realistically find a partner even if it does not change the points. 2. Police check and health check only has a validity period of 12 months. In some cases DOHA can extend it for up to 6 months but that’s a stretch. Most likely you will be asked to submit a new police and health check when they finally get their hands on your case, which then incurs another delay. 3. DOHA doesn’t grant visa strictly on lodge date order. Visa applications in relation to health and teaching will jump the queue of others, for example. 4. Maintaining clean criminal record is not too hard. Not so much about your health. If something happens and your next health check doesn’t pass, you are in a whole world of trouble, and if things go bad enough, your PR visa could be refused for not satisfying PIC 4005 and 4007 (both are health related criteria). 5. You still cannot find a well-paid job despite holding BVA (or BVC in some circumstances). No employer would commit someone with uncertainty for long term employment, period. Just for these 5 points alone you will know why this waiting game can easily drag people out.
@@manikantach5132 Haha I just mean at least being able to work on the bridging visa without restrictions is a good place to be knowing you've been invited. Could be worse!
