@johannis70 Thanks for the compliment and no you're not missing a step, you're simply watching the wrong video. Please read the annotation starting at 0:20 seconds. It says the this method will not allow you to play the DVD on a DVD or Blu-ray player. However, I do have a video uploaded which shows you how to make DVD that does indeed play on a DVD or Blu-ray player. Clicking the annotation will take you to that video. It should also be in the suggestions margin to the right. I hope I helped.
Very good instructional video for imgburn, the only thing that you forgot to mention is that if you want to choose an individual file instead of a folder you need to click on a different icon, otherwise well done...thanks
@GABRI3LCAIC3DO No, a DVD player will not be able to read this disc which is why I have this in both the annotation at the beginning and in the description box above: Please note that this method will not allow you to play these videos from the CD itself on a DVD or Blu-ray player. The videos on the CD that is created can only be played on a laptop or computer. This is useful for primarily backup purposes. Continued in next comment...
@KolbyDrums I'm no expert with DVD flick files themselves, and neither have I had much experience with them. I will try and fix this problem for you, however. If you're trying to burn a DVD Flick file with IMG Burn, then I could suggest two things: 1) Watch my video on "How to burn Videos to a CD or DVD that plays on a DVD Player" with DVD Flick and follow the steps in that instead of using IMG Burn. 2) Try and convert the DVD Flick file to a different format before trying to burn it with IMG
It could be caused by any of the following factors: 1. Speed of your disc drive is not fast enough for the DVD used. 2. Speed of disc is not fast enough for the video burnt. 3. Your laptop's specifications (particular CPU and GPU) do not have a high enough frequency to play back the video that you have burnt to disc. 4. Properties of video (e.g. resolution, frame rate - was it already lagging before being put on the DVD? etc.).
Hi. I uploaded this (Imgburn), but it does not recognize my dvd drive (says device not ready - in compatible medium installed) - I use Windows 8. Any trouble shooting suggestions out there? Thanks.
@LazyNightz 1. No need to forthrightly insult me; I gave up my time to provide this video to you for free. Your rudeness is not appreciated and is vastly supererogatory. 2. What you said is only true for certain DVD players and particular types of CD. IMGBurn is not designed to make a CD/DVD that will work with every DVD player. So, I have made another video to ensure a high success rate for the entirety of my audience, not just one particular brusque, inconsiderate individual, such as yourself.
As I care greatly for my viewer-base, I will transcribe it for you myself: :) "And in that I have two videos which you can't see because they're not the files it's looking for; it's looking for a folder rather than a file." In other words, as we are trying to select a whole folder here, it won't display any individual files. Sorry for speaking too fast at that particular point.
[Just to clarify, I'm not answering this in order to get you to subscribe to me; I'm answering because I always try to help all of my audience be replying to comments as much as I can] This is unusual. Have you used your disk drive successfully recently? Go to my computer and see if your drive is listed there. If it is not, then you either don't have one installed in your system, or the one you do have is faulty.
Thanks man for this, i used to burn cds all the time but i kept gettin errors because i put them at max speed for burning but i did what u said and it got fixed! HECK YES! U have helped me sooo much with my computer. Always looking forward to all your vids and favorited/liked :)
Because it's a tutorial, obviously. I wasn't actually going to use the CD that I burn (I have hundreds of blank CDs). Plus, a lower percentage will take less time to burn, allowing me to record the tutorial more quickly.
DVDs made using IMGBurn MAY work on a DVD player, but they are not made to do so. In order to ensure success in this area please click the link the description that will take you to my video on 'How to burn Videos to a CD or DVD that plays on a DVD Player'
@GABRI3LCAIC3DO ...Continued If you would like to create a CD/DVD that can be played on a DVD and/or Blu-ray player, click this link to watch my video on how to do so: [the link can be found in the description box above or you can click the annotation at the beginning of the video itself]. Hi, Can it MAKE a DVD for a DVD player using only a single file such as MP4 ect or does it need all the DVD type files Video tS ect to just arrange to new DVD as when i tried a MKV file it just make a disk with that file only not a fully formatted 4.7 gb DVD playable disk
Imgburn has infected files both in the setup and in the program itself (sorry i deleted them so idk the names of the files) anyway after deleting them from the setup i installed and then i deleted them from Imgburn itself and the program still runs fine with out them . thank you for the video anyway Musicarta
I say the following in the video and description: "Please note that this method will not necessarily allow you to play these videos from the CD itself on a DVD or Blu-ray player. The videos on the CD that is created can only definitely be played on a laptop/computer. This is useful for primarily backup purposes. If you would like to create a CD/DVD that can be played on a DVD and/or Blu-ray player, click this link to watch my video on how to do so: [Insert link here] - it is in the descrption "
i thought the whole idea of img burn was to burn a video file on a disc to play on a dvd player. Nero was so easy to use to burn data files, maybe back to that. thanks for your tutorials but as you say not all files may play on a dvd player where when i used nero in the past almost 100% success rate.
@ClareshMusic I didn't know who this 'Klaus' was so I researched a little and I only found people with this name to have an American accent so I'm not following :) Care to explain?
i try using nero to burn my music video,,i add 10 songs'it takes 30 min to burn,,my problem is only 1 song burn on the disc 'whatz wrong with it?plz help,,
@LazyNightz Oh, I'm sorry, am I the only person who deems "u nub" to be a derogatory term? You need to determine the line between constructive criticism (which I accept and relish) and direct insultation.
I tried, but had to take image buner off my computer. It was just too loaded with malware and all sorts of other stuff. I even tried to custom install as was suggested by cnet, but I must have missed something. Took the better part of an afternoon to get rid of the bulk.
make sure that the hardware can be seen on my computer if not it's not been installed, check sata cable and also make sure the firmware of your dvdrw drive has been updated you can find firmware updates for your dvdrw drive from the manufacturers website,
@Narutoverse13 I'm glad that this helped you out. Thanks so much for favoriting/liking (and of course commenting). It really helps me out!

@2010intelcore Thanks for the feedback as always. I really appreciate your long comments =)
Brilliant. Thanks so much. Someone at last who speaks clearly slowly and intelligently.

I can only guess that it was a random error within your media player then. Does this mean that the problem is now resolved?
Nicely done. I like the annotations on the video to point stuff out. Very useful that.
Great video - Thanks v much.

Great video, I had to go to 'Options' and switch the file system to UDF, because otherwise there was not enough space or something?

@ClareshMusic Haha, just listened and you're right as well; it is pretty similar isn't it!
@unioneck Define "I use this". What were you trying to use it on?
Can you say whether any video's taken from 'RUclips' can be successfully burnt this way, to a DVD-R that will playback on a on a domestic dvd player!
Thank you for showing me how to use this program only installed other day.
And do you need any special things, like swap magic, to ply this? Or do you just put it in a DVD player and it will work?

Thanks alot man. Couldn't find a video that explained it aswell as you did!
Does the download slow down your computer speed or effect it at all?
Indeed quick and very helpful, thank you so much.
