For anyone wondering, this is actually playable, it seems harder than it actually is, and it is even easier if you do the arpeggio with both hands, just in case you were wondering if this was very advanced for an intermediate, I'd not recommend it for beginners though, but what a glad surprise I got when I tried to learned it, hope this comment was helpful
so true. my ass. was like i need to learn this song. lil did i know. i was a complete noob at piano. but to learn this song was a journey . that was amazing. brought me back to life after my divorce. lol
A couple nights ago, I spent a few hours putting together a classical guitar arrangement. The funny thing is, while you may hear this and think it's more difficult to play than it actually is, the opposite is true for a guitar arrangement. I was thinking about which video game theme should be arranged for guitar and this immediately came to mind. Coming from a different musical background (guitar, rather than piano) I actually thought this sounded like something that would be easy to play, but found that it's deceptively difficult. Like you, I would not recommend it to beginners. And on guitar, intermediate players will find this to be quite challenging as well. I love it, though. Such a beautiful and nostalgic piece and a fantastic etude on both instruments.
I remember I heard it for the first time in 1998 when I played Final Fantasy 7 for Playstation 1 and even today I am enchanted by this wonderful nostalgia.
I first heard this song in the old NES game, the FF soundtrack as well as the Castlevania/Mega Man soundtracks really got me into video game music back on the NES. Something about that sound chip just made all this stuff sound really cool. I think it's only the intro arpeggio type part in the original NES "prelude" song, the FF7 version is definitely one of the better versions of it.
I like this version, it's friendly for beginners learning to play, and it doesn't scale up and down the *entire* piano after the beginning. I'm now reading the sheet music and simplifying the left hand while I'm learning and will eventually attack it with all the summons when I'm good enough :)
SO BEAUTIFUL I finally got around to playing FFVII after forever, and it’s great so far. Definitely feeling the age, but still great. Can’t wait to try Remake out, too
I put it off for so many years, but I knew I wanted to go back and play the original. I knew how big a deal it was to gaming, so I didn't want to skip it. I am SO GLAD I played the original. It is so, so good. It's got all its old game clunky charm, but at the time it was breaking new ground. The whole thing is just beautiful though, top to bottom. The art, the story telling, the script, the emotions, the MUSIC. I have yet to play the remake stuff, but I can't wait. Working my way through the Crisis Core remaster right now, and oh my god. Just... oh. So good.
I play with 1235 and it works too! At this speed most fingerings are possible, however, for faster arpeggios you need to pay close attention to the fingering
Everyone forgets about that one on snes. Man that game sucked me in back in 1991/92 and I’ll never forget the emotions that game made me feel. The music is what brings FF games to life.
Could you share where you got the sheet music from? I tried to find the official scorebook, but the only one I could find doesn't have the prelude song. This is a lovely version! I really appreciate you playing it.
How are your videos made? Do you have a special piano or do you splice the footage with something else, and if so how do you get the light on the keys?

This is a great exercise for learning Piano
Who asked?
The intro really gives you a sense that it's a Fantasy
NO IT IS REAL LIFE

This brings me back to the 90s.......Back when times were so much easier and life was so enjoyable and simple! 😢😭😭
I wasn't born in the 90s, and I have only bits and pieces of information about these times, and I was a toddler and elementary school student in 2000s
This gave me nostalgia
Does anyone else get goosebumps from this entire game soundtrack??
Been listening since playing on the nes dude. I absolutely do

めっちゃ綺麗…
Nostalgia hit me hard 😢
Remind me of my childhood time.
That C9 gets me the chills!
Definetely One of the best arrangents on RUclips , thanks for playing It !
I was practicing this as 1234 1234. I didn't notice he was playing it 2341 2341.
It makes a big difference and it's definitely easier to play 2341!
How does it make it easier?

Notes flowing out like the Lifestream! :D
Perfect for intermediate arpeggio practice.
The lifestream. Now im having flashbacks of me playing final fantasy on the old PlayStation when im just a 6 year old
I wonder, how the audience in the times of beethoven/mozart times would have reacted to this play?
imo the Prelude kinda sounds like a Chopin piece so maybe it's not that alien to them
Oh, they're watching us play from above. Beethoven's probably boasting that Für Elise is played the most.
@@hairglowingkyle4572 I always thought there was Debussy influence too so they might be surprised
@@oof7734 wouldn't be surprised if this was loosely based on or at least inspired by Debussy's Reverie
Probably would have been bored at the start, and then surprised at 0:39
What amazing perfom!!! your awesom!
i love your genshin videos but your final fantasy videos are JUST AMAZING
Dude this tkes skill. Thank you!!!
Mon bébé dort avec cette belle sérénade.merci!
My favorite Final Fantasy song because of FF2 and 3 on the Super NES.💚😌

if you choose harp as the instrument on any yamaha e-piano, you get the original song.
I've been afraid to learn this song for almost 20 years. I sat down last night and it was a breeze. I'm ashamed of myself
I love this version! Is there any sheet music directly related to this?
I wish I could find the piano sheet for this arrangement.
Did you find it?
I made sheet music for this: drive.google.com/file/d/13oi3_uPCZVIb9Bj6PJw0B85iR8uwNhbb/view
Beautiful :)
This is incredible! How do you do the fingering, though? It's hard to see and I'm looking to improve in this song. thanks!
M P umm i used right hand only for those arpeggio which isn’t necessary. U can play with two hands crossing each other.
I find keeping the rythm clean through out the whole piece to be the hardest, good luck in learning it >w
So, basically an endless arpeggio
Anyone know where I can find the sheet music for this particular arrangement? Thank you!
Please, is there sheet music available for this wonderful rendition?
Sheet music link?

片手・・・・バケモンだ・・・(´・ω・`)
what is the tempo you are playing at may I ask?
The tempo is 78 BPM
Although the piano player isn't consistent with their rhythm
@@apopheniapareidolia its low key annoying lol
@@sarcasticat9473 where is the annoying part? do they slow down?
Do you have the sheet?
Almost like Chopin Etude op 10 no 8 but much slower tempo :)
1:20 OooOooOoOo
2:13 sounds exactly like the Stranger Things theme
WHY would you cover up the beginning with the title -.-
I hate how they use the 5th as the lead note instead of the correct note.
Maco piano
I love you, you beautiful set of hands attached to a brain 💙💙💙💙💙💙
Anyone have sheets for this version?
