i actually like X's version. the guy they hired to make it pretty much only plays the keyboard instrument but he did a good job and and gave the prelude a nice turn of the century almost electro touch as ffx was pretty much on brand new hardware back then especially since despite keeping a lot of what makes ff great, ffx was the first for a lot of things in the series to me such as voice acting, motion capture characters, a full 3d world, more intimate interpersonal character relationships, a more serious story, etc and that just makes it impact so much stronger when the ps2 was a beast of a console

As with virtually every component in every different final fantasy comparison, 7 is the best. It truly is square’s magnum opus… and one of the greatest works of art of all time, across all mediums. Absolutely astonishing.

This song is core to my childhood. Always makes me somewhat emotional. Timeless piece I’ll always listen to.

It's like with graphics, they have gotten better, but most games lost their artistic use of shadows, colors and character, creature, world designs.
