They trained for 5 years before they debuted with "Whistle" and "Boombayah" in 2016. The confidence and swag comes from the training and also because YG entertainment is a hip hop/R&B focused entertainment group in Korea.

Since you guys like Blackpink you might also like iKON, a group that's in the same company as them, YG Entertainment. Their newest video "Killing Me" just came out a day or so ago. And also, BigBang, a legendary group that basically built YG to what it is today. People usually recommend their video "Bang Bang Bang" that came out in 2015 (fyi, they debuted in 2006.)
Not to mention that iKON's BI wrote this song for Blackpink.

I totally agree with u Lisa reminds me of left eye so much and both are my role models 😩😩😩😍😍😍 for those who don’t know who left eye is she was part of one of the biggest rnb girl groups from the 90s TLC! And her name was also Lisa! 😂 she was their rapper and everyone couldn’t resist her cause she was a character just like our baby lali 😍😍😍

Info: this is obviosuly a kpop Girl Group. 4 members in which are Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rose. Jennie and Lisa are rappers, which leaves Rose and Jisoo control in vocals. ALTHOUGH Jennie and Lisa CAN sing. anyways, this music video IS their Debut along with their other debut song 'BOOMBAYAH' which was released August 8th 2016. they are only two years old and have not made their US debut yet. they are THE top GG rn bc they have been gaining many requests from America to come out in the US and debut. they are the most liked Korean Girl Group and to keep up with them and their activities, follow their instagram.

Yaaaas, that's my favorite song from them. The beat it's really sick and the video so aesthetic pleasant. They are a south korean girl group. Two vocals and two rappers but the rappers can also sing.
Jennie- the first rapper, brown hair ( my fav) she is the main rapper, vocalist
Jisoo- the black haired girl, she is the visual, oldest, lead vocal
Rosé - the red haired girl she main vocalist, lead dancer
And Lisa( my second fav)- she is the blonde one with bangs, the second rapper, she is the youngest, main dancer, lead rapper and sub vocalist ( she sometimes sings too but she is the least is we talk just about vocal)
They debuted in 2016, their fans are named blinks. You should react to their others song and covers. Also to some of their funny moments or " An unhelpful guide to Blackpink".

BlackPink always has interesting videos, Playing with Fire is another great song of theirs. Also, I think you should check out a very different kpop group, called 'Dreamcatcher'. They have a very different style compared to BlackPink. It's more like pop/rock, and many people say it sounds like anime music. Dreamcatcher is very underrated sadly, even though they have an amazing horror storyline concept. If you do check them out, you should watch both 'Chase Me', and 'Goodnight' back to back, in that order.

This and bobayah were actually their debut songs. The reason they seem like they know what they are doing is because they trained for years before they were even allowed to debut :)
Check their dance practices, you can see the whole performances and while their choreo are not really difficult or complicated like some groups it is so mesmerizing to me.

🙏🏾 We don’t hate. We just say how we feel. It’s a first reaction too. The “Fefe” song grew on me more so that reaction don’t represent how I feel now. We only react to things we haven’t seen yet.
YG has them and all the group's start as trainees and then get put into groups once they learn the basic 15 dance routines and trainees practice from early morning to night. Dancing singing and acting is taught.

When you asked . Why don't the seem like a new group?
That's because in Korea, group don't form naturally like in America.
Groups are put them together more in the style of how artists from American Idol, start off. (Or even an actor you've never heard of,who gets a part in a huge movie like Avengers. Their talent gets them a part in huge million dollar system that's already fuctioning. Music studios and entertainment companies seak out and throw competitions for the best actors, singers, dancers and rappers around. Then they take thier favorite individuals and put them together in a group, ( For example finding a girl who can rap, a girl who can dance, and 2 girls who can sing #BlackPink) then they put them through years of training before they ever are allowed to debut publically. That's why Korean groups will pop up out of nowhere and be the biggest thing on the planet.
