You and Boost in Motion are awesome. I'm 17 and am about 4k in savings off of purchasing a Q60 after working my ass off for 5 years, and you guys make me even more eager to get started with modding. Keep up the great content!
Oh thank God. Please keep it and mod more. Seriously man, your mod direction is my inspiration and I really do look forward to all your vids. Once I get mine, I'll be doing my mods like you so keep it going. :)
Appreciate it man
This was super easy just did it 💪🏽 thanks man
Bro this video is a lifesaver. Thank you so much for the vr30 content, too bad you don’t have the Q anymore. 💔
Maybe another one soon
Absolutely great video!
This reminds me of my Q50, which is long gone
What happened to yours bro?
You need from Burger Motor Sports there silicone tubing that connects the cold air intake housing to the turbo. I have that and a high flow air filter from AEM. Instead of spending $500 for the AMS CAI I paid $200 and made my own aftermarket CAI. It is working great!
Good vid bro.
Maybe they were sad like we are to see you detune that beautiful Q
Haha
Recently installed occ and got high idle cel dealership informed I should cap the hose going to the turbo inlet I was wondering no high idle for you?
I'm so getting one!
I’m a bit confused does this catch can have two outlets one to the turbo and the other to intake and 1 inlet from PCV?
I Know im late to the Party im trying to buy the 3.3 version but it gives me all these options that say optional is it necessary . i know you left a link i just wanna make sure i get everything that came with your kit thanks.
What do you recommend on Q50 3.0t bro? Single or dual catch can? Will I be cool with single or is dual the way to go?
so would this one be better than the other one you had installed before this one?
I installed one of these and it hasn’t pulled a drop of oil in 10k miles. Rechecked to make sure I ran all the hoses correct, check valves are flowing the right direction. But no oil in the can. I’m stumped.
If you want to add your passenger side to catch can just add a tee to the inlet line, no need to purchase a upgraded kit
What going on ? I have my 3 port in hand ready to scrape some knuckles with your help . Thanks for that . lol
Diamond no prob lol
@@EnthusiastPOV Its on now . Install complete . woot . Im trying without a breather with T first run. If not perfecto i'll put a breather on . Is there an advantage ? I guess i'll find out . lol. I have a heat gun but was able to use biggish needle nose plyers to streatch the hose to go over the fittings with a little lube of the fitting . bammo
What about the add w1 bov for the q50 3.0t are they any good?
Can you tell me , the Silicone Pipe size of this oil catch can ?
Its 8mm hose or 9mm hose ?
I believe if you installed a PCV catch can. There are two system to follow: the close and open system. The open system needs a deleted PCV valve and the nipple and intake manifold is cap close. Unfortunately the ADDW1 combined open and close system that can cause vacuum leak.
Hence the reason for check valves. Even though it’s an open and closed system, flow still one directional. After seeing this i pressured tested the system just for my own piece of mined and it’s completely fine.
I tried to paste the picture of VR30DDTT engine PCV diagram. If you can provide an email I will send it to you. I am a member of VQ state of mind, where Darren Surratt and moncef faik are also member. It was emphasized how to do an open system PCV catch can system on VQ35DE. The PCV is deleted or you can buy a PCV with no check valve attached to catch can with breather on top. The intake nipple is cap closed the nipple in Short ram intake is cap closed. The vent hose on the front valve cover has a breather filter attached.
Actually there are 4 blowby hose in VR30DDTT. The bank 1 where you put the filter, bank 2 , front and rear.
Man I just bought V3 a month or so ago. Wish I could trade in for discount lol
me too!
I watched this video a while back. Just wondering if this helps decrease the amount of carbon build up on the valves. In the near future, do you plan to do a carbon removal video?
Yes it does and I don’t have this car anymore
@@EnthusiastPOV, oops! Sorry about that.
I just installed this system a few days ago and realized my CCV breather filter is a little wet...if the crank case vacuum is coming from the manifold under light throttle and the intake during acceleration...the breather should only be a source for clean air to enter the crankcase right?...is it being a little wet an issue or have you seen that too?
Haven’t had that issue, check your install
What happened to the mishimoto you installed before? How does this compare?
Eh either or will work. It was just forms video then got rid of it
What happened to your AMS expansion tank? FYI: I can go 5k b4 having to empty mine. It's only 1/2 way up...if that.
You probably missed
The video where i parted out. I’m moving on.
In the case where you are running the version one ( 1 inlet, 1 outlet), would modifying the existing setup possible by just splice the outlet hose, adding a check valve before the T fitting to route it to the existing manifold port (out) and the passenger side port? I was going to just buy the hardware (check valves, breather, etc) from the ADD W1 website and doing it.
The 1 and 1 actually works better to me if I’m being honest
You’re better off keeping the one you have as is
@@EnthusiastPOV I have a spare add w1 sitting around, couldnt i just add a second one to the passenger side then?
After much trial I would say no up to you
Uh, dude. you might want to take your car back to Infiniti. They seem to have misplaced your engine and gave you a snake pit instead!
On a serious note, good info here! I'm glad I waited before buying! Just bought an S550 Mustang and this is one of the first mods I'll be doing! I didn't know these cyclone engines were DFI, yikes!
Does the engine cover fit back on?
Yes it does
Are you going to delete the air filter and T it into the hose you put going to the left side to keep the system closed ?
Nope not for the moment
Wait so you keeping the q?
👀 you never know what i got up my sleeve
They made it sow uncomfortable to work
