Vandalia1998 We don't know how many years before, but several thousand at least. As to why they didn't expand past Pandaria, probably because: 1. Their ancient charge by the Titans was to shape Pandaria; they could have felt confined to that land. 2. They might not have been able to expand without risking unrest in their own realm. 3. Mogu tend to fight each other a lot, rather than external enemies. 4. Their alliance with the Zandalari might have limited their northward expansion. 5 (tied to 4). Geography, probably; the limits of Pandaria are either: a) Townlong Steppes, ruled by the Mantid which the Mogu could not subjugate; b) Kun-Lai Summit, which seems to be a pretty solid barrier (think of the Himalayas between China, Nepal and India) c) Jade Forest, which probably would have encroached on troll territory, and d) the Krasarang Wilds, which were inhabited by the hostile Saurok, in addition to the possibility that they were, actually, the southern reaches of Kalimdor
