a) Mexico may not be safer than where you currently live - many agencies operate outside the law
b) Be prepared to be constantly hounded for money by peddlers and vendors
c) Cabo isn't cheap to live in
d) Many areas aren't safe to swim in - the waters and tides can be pretty rough
