Just started watching your vids. I've been searching for folks that fish/boat in the immediate Tampa Bay area. I reside up north, but also have homes down in Florida and I'm often there...fishing!! Love...love...love fishing!! Awesome vid and thanks for the tips with regards to snagging Grouper. #FanaticalFisherperson
We can agree to disagree. In certain situations you have to hook them different. The reason I hook them in the pec is to get them to swim down when fishing deep water with no weightb
Hey Chris.. Great video bro and always fun to share a great day with family.. This video must have been before you got your hair trimmed. Lol. So good to see another video from you and thanks for sharing with us.. Keep up the good work.. Always your friend, fan, and subscriber..
That Okuma set up rocks dude , you do know taking and putting the old man onto big grouper is elderly abuse, now your going have to get that smile on his face surgically removed 😆👍🏼. Ya need bigger pinfish , so the little ones mess with it 🤔. Tight lines bro .
Appreciate you JZ! Well tbh I'm on the water a lot and have a good feeling of when the bite is going to be. So yes in the video it can seem like the bites right away. But we were our there for hours before. Always looking fir new spots, targeting different species, or just relaxing. On this particular day we went tarpon fishing before and didn't Have a bite...
@@CaptChrisCanning nice one we went out there last year on the boat and couldn’t locate the rock piles in the channel are they to the east or west of the skyway? Thanks I still manage to catch a 27.5” keeper but most day they were all shorts 😔

Slaying those grouper!!!! Great video captain Canning😎
LOL, never thought about catching grouper to save money. It was always about mental health for me.
Mental health is 💯
It's definitely more about mental health for me and my family as well.
Grouper sandwiches for days. Awesome video Chris
Good eating right there boy 👦 👏
Keep bringing your dad out there whenever possible, it’s cool to see you guys fishing!
Yeah we're going to get him in more videos. We don't film normally when I go out with him. He absolutely loves to fish.
Appreciate your comment brother
I don’t blame you for not bothering with the filming. That time is for you guys. Have a great season!
I always wondered why you belly hooked your baits. I'm going to try that the next time I'm using live bait. Nice work Chris.
I've hooked them every which way possible... and caught in every positon..position... makes no difference

@@CaptChrisCanning yeah we fish out there a lot on a small ghenoe but it’s not calmed down like normally this time of the year keep up the good work
Chris how are you catching pinfish? Castnet on flats? Sabiki in deeper water? Please show in future videos. Thanks.
I normally use a sibiki rig with tipped shrimp. Or on the flats I net them, but the pinfish tend to be on the smaller side. I like those for snapper.
Is that east or west of the skyway thanks
West my guy 💯
Are you fishing the channel?
We are! Yes sir!

So the rod is heavy power, not action. Assuming fast action…?
My bad for not mentioning the action. I believe it is a fast action, yes. Thanks for the comment my man
@@CaptChrisCanning just want to make sure. I’m looking for a new grouper setup
