A lot of single player games do this to try to prevent sequence breaking and/or soft locking. There’ll be a damage plane or box on the bridge, and a trigger likely just after where BT drops. When BT enters the trigger, the damage plane is disabled. They don’t use an outright kill plane to give the illusion that something - not just the game itself - is killing you, I.e. giving a semi-immersive reason for you to call BT. It’s possible that with some movement tech, glitches, or even hacking you could bypass the damage plane. That would be entirely dependent on how big the damage plane is. Speed runners bypass kill planes and kill boxes (and triggers) all the time.
But most of the time you just call in BT because you want him back so bad it was sad to see him die in the first place, so 99.9% of players called him back immediately.
@@Fartomicbomb That's the point. The devs want you to call in BT, so they give you a story reason (and a manipulative reason) to make you do so. However, the game after that point likely expects you to be in or at least with BT as a result, so to prevent you from just deciding not to call him, they have to prevent you from progressing without him, ergo killing you.
There is a speedrunning strat called 'Rocky Road' where you embark into BT and immediately disembark which removes the damage and activates the neccessary triggers. After that you take a crazy route around the mountain on the left
the speedrunning community has done this and much more but it's too hard to find it on youtube because most stuff has cryptic names and is only posted on the discord
The militia artillery fire is directed at the enemy IMC units and is visible coming out of the militia ships in the distance. While engaging in a firefight with enemy titans, you'll also see markers show up on the floor for spots that the artillery will hit and the shells do high damage to enemies (I think I was playing normal and they were insta-kill) This is definitely something else.

I bet the mysterious damages come from BT shooting your ass from the dropship in orbit to make you call him.

That'd be in violation of Protocol 3
@@goldxperiencerequiem Cannot break protocol if your pilot refuses to acknowledge you as a functional titan.
It’s just a chassis, BT doesn’t have a body until Cooper installs his datacore
more like sarah instead of BT since BT isnt even in a titan hes just a datacore

Maybe it's the radiation pulses from the Ark
(not 100% serious, it's pretty obviously just a kill trigger, but fun to find an in-game reason)
When you don’t wanna lose bt again lol
There is a speedrunning strat called 'Rocky Road' where you embark into BT and immediately disembark which removes the damage and activates the neccessary triggers. After that you take a crazy route around the mountain on the left
is it by chance that there is an invisible tone at the bridge that only attacks pilots?
Look more like that you get an insta 50% damage when you try to cross the bridge. Its like a hidden poison damage
More transparency. If it had less transparency, it would be HARDER to see through. More transparent, easier to see through.
@Prototype-C You know that the satellite toxic gas can't actually kill you, right?
@Prototype-Cyeah it only happens if u don’t call bt tho
@Prototype-CIt isn’t that. It’s most likely a damage trigger. But if it did had an in-game reason, it would probably be some shrapnel or radiation.
God is smiting you for using smart pistol
it seems to do it when you cross the one bridge, maybe the corrosive fog stuff is comin out of the vent thingies there.
I'm surprised that no one have ever try doing this before
