After they revealed that she met Josh Peck's character the night she met the father, I told my friend "that's stupid, but it would be a ridiculous gag if they keep randomly introducing more men she met that night." Not saying it would be a good running gag, but imagine we end up with 50 possible dudes that she met that night
I actually already thought in the first episode that she might have met even more men than the ones shown, so the reveal that she also met Josh Peck's character in that night didn't bother me at all.
I actually really like that!! Gives off a definitely maybe vibe instead of going on for 9 seasons only to meet the father in the end. It’s stated that she met him that night, if they need to introduce more characters she met then it’s still better than the whole story starting 9 years before she met the one.
I disagree with some of your takes on the characters, but I very much agree that the show has taken massive leaps these last few episodes (especially 4 and 5)!

I think so far the best episode has been the rewardishments episode. The show needs to spend more time on humor for now and get into the drama a little later.
I feel like an easy way to fix how the cast got together on the show was to just have the main character, the mother telling this story, be a newcomer (or at least close to that) to a group of friends that have known each other for a long time by having a connection to one of the main group. Like Rachel being Monica's best friend from highschool in Friends or Jackie being Kelso's girlfriend in That 70's Show.
A lot of people view the first episode as Sophie meeting several new people and it's true but if you analyse it closely, there were two groups in the first episode: Firstly, the Sophie group, comprising Sophie herself, Valentina, whom she has known for a long time and Charlie, whom she knows through Val, who met him in London and fell in love with him. Secondly, the Jesse group, consisting of Sid, his friend and Ellen, his sister. All three of them are well acquainted with each other. It's basically the meeting of two social groups, who then coalesce to form a bigger group. It is just due to a plethora of coincidental events causing them to interact with each other that they become close friends by the middle of the show.
Just finished the finale and it does hit the heart strings that the former series did, but I'm waiting on the second season to see if they get their footing on the jokes. Right now they're still not landing for me but the series is still gets me wanting to watch more episodes.

You think the "Oh know the people I watched growing up are getting old" things bad? Well throw a bit of "I graduated high school with her husband and its a constant reminder of how my life has gone nowhere" into the mix and it spells disaster for you at sacrifice.
I don’t think the show is bad perse, but comparing it to the original makes it much worse in my head. The original had way better humor and most prominently I believed what the characters emotions were and inderstood what their rational was behind their actions. In HIMYF I completely do not have that feeling. Everything what the characters do feels to random to me right now. I really like the characters on paper, but it just hasn’t clicked for me.
Every episode of this show is better than the last and that in itself is impressive. But I'm really starting to like it myself. I mean it's still no HIMYM but still
i agree that those first two episodes were kinda… insecure, at best. it really hasn’t convinced me to start watching it at first. but then a tried the third episode, forth… and it actually improved. it wasn’t as funny as i expected it to be, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing for me - i usually don’t laugh out loud anyway. i smiled a few times, that was it. episode five finally showed us some background of the characters and some emotional weight that i loved so much on HIMYM. and right now i’m watching episode six and i genuinely say that I enjoy it. it seems more natural, the jokes don’t fall so flat anymore and i actually find it really funny! it’s honestly incredible how they were managed to improve in such a short period of time. i miss sitcoms like this one and i really hope it will not get canceled!
Im a massive fan of the original series, and still watch it all the way through once a year, but this show is really falling flat for me. I still watch every week when a new episode comes out because I want to give it a chance, but I feel like it really missed the mark. None of the characters feel likeable, none of the connections and chemistry between them feels real, and I can honestly say I dont laugh or even smirk once while watching. Im going to keep watching because I want to see the show improve, but I think it would need a major between seasons overhaul to course correct
Side note I also feel like there is too many main characters to the point that none of them feel developed and that the episodes are constantly cramming in pretty meaningless things for them to do because they are also in the show
@@brosefersthey keep making shitty shows because they know people would watch it anyway, no matter how bad or mediocre they are. I’m nobody to tell you to don’t watch but yeah, don’t give them rating

I don’t like that they’re trying to create catch phrases and starting to “Flandarize” the characters this early on. They need to work on Sid a little bit more because he is the worst so far and what’s up with his fiancé that disappeared completely?
Jesse and Sophie were both great from the start and so was Valentina. IMO it wasn't until episode 3 or 4 that I started to like Sid. Episode 4 is where I started to like Charlie a little more and either 4 or 5 did I actually start to like Ellen. If Charlie and Ellen had stayed the same way that they did during EPs 1 - 3 I would say that they should get the Brandanowitz treatment but now...they can stay.
Wow i have approx. the same experience with this series. At first i wasn't really fond, i thought the characters were too stereotypical, the initial plot badly written since there is no real reason for them all to be friends in the first place. BUT indeed the second half of the first season is actually really good and made me feel the HIMYM vibe way more, some character are really what i excepted from the show like Jesse. The only thing i would love to see more is a little more crazyness (that Barney used to bring to the show). But seriously i really want this series to have its try for another season !
I AGREE THAT THEY NEED A BARNEY! ✊🏻 But… I don’t think HIMYF can have a barney-like character. The character will be too offensive in this current social climate.
i cant say i agree with you at all actually. I watched the first few eps of how i met your mother, friends, modern family, and instantly be interested and entertained by the plot, humor, and characters. I honestly think that how i met your father is awkward, not funny at all, and trying too hard to be funny. The only character who can pass an actual funny joke without trying too hard is Sid. other than that Ellen, Jesse, Drew and esp Sophie are so tasteless. there is no chemistry between them at all, and even funny jokes fall flat with them because they dont react or act properly. I find Sophie is so boring as well because all she ever does is sulk over men, when Ted did the same thing but in a more dynamic, enthusiastic and funny way that the audience was actually laughing everytime ted tried and got rejected or he crossed the line and ended up looking like an idiot. To me this show is not a comedy at all. It seems like a romantic drama.

I’m sorry! But the only thing that saved it for me was when Robin showed up on the screen. (Which is sad because it was during the last episode!) That was the first time I laughed while watching HIMYF. Robin’s tone and delivery really is a contrast to how cringey every other character acted through out the series. As of now I'm predicting that when the show ends it will have a twist akin to the original's but not exactly the same. I think it will be revealed that Ian is the father, but Jesse is who Sophie went on to marry.
Right now this show feels like an amateur, hollowed identical to HIMYM, where some of the character reactions and joke punchlines are delivered in a way that's almost too exaggerated or predictable (almost like a soap opera) and can be a bit cringe with how the character dynamics are done. However, I'll still keep watching since there's def potential. Stuff like (spoiler alert) when Meredith was introduced outside of the proposal video I feel are things that should've been done in the first few episodes to give the story some initial direction. One of the best things about HIMYM was the show's storytelling ability how certain episodes felt like a drama at times so I'm looking forward to seeing how this show grows
Still rooting for this show. Hopefully they get another season to get their footing. Too many big moments felt rushed from the beginning.
Leftist don't put that amount of energy into their shows, they know they don't have too
A lot of people view the first episode as Sophie meeting several new people and it's true but if you analyse it closely, there were two groups in the first episode:
Firstly, the Sophie group, comprising Sophie herself, Valentina, whom she has known for a long time and Charlie, whom she knows through Val, who met him in London and fell in love with him.
It wasn’t the finale
Dam that last joke cuts deep😂 So are you going to review Dexter now?
Anything would be less degrading than watching this crap....lol....I never liked Dexter everyone's acting was too stiff.....
But I'd watch it 100 times over this burnout crap...filler crap
You should revisit this show now that the season is done. And since you brought it up, how bout you tells us your thoughts on dexter new blood
How much did they pay you?
Okay now I'll reconsider watching this show
this shows amazing. season 2 was so good binged watched it all in one week. NEED SEASON 3
You think the "Oh know the people I watched growing up are getting old" things bad? Well throw a bit of "I graduated high school with her husband and its a constant reminder of how my life has gone nowhere" into the mix and it spells disaster for you at sacrifice.
Wait you went to high school with Matthew Koma?
@@GodsFaveSim No, I did however goto high school with Matt Bair.
Good for Josh and Hillary. They’re looking good! I hope Drake gets everything in his life straightened out.
I liked HIMYM, so I thought I'd give this a chance.
I watched the first season.
My response? The seven deadly words:
I do not care about these people.
Every episode of this show is better than the last and that in itself is impressive. But I'm really starting to like it myself. I mean it's still no HIMYM but still
Hmm. It's almost as if it takes more than 2 episodes to decide if a TV show sucks or not
i agree that those first two episodes were kinda… insecure, at best. it really hasn’t convinced me to start watching it at first. but then a tried the third episode, forth… and it actually improved. it wasn’t as funny as i expected it to be, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing for me - i usually don’t laugh out loud anyway. i smiled a few times, that was it. episode five finally showed us some background of the characters and some emotional weight that i loved so much on HIMYM. and right now i’m watching episode six and i genuinely say that I enjoy it. it seems more natural, the jokes don’t fall so flat anymore and i actually find it really funny! it’s honestly incredible how they were managed to improve in such a short period of time. i miss sitcoms like this one and i really hope it will not get canceled!
I love the Cameos !!
Hilary duff proving that she can be remembered other than for Lizzie maguire
If being in a communist television show is your career highlight.....you have failed...
The total number of people who are even watching HIMYF are not even a tenth of the fans of Lizzie McGuire.
I never watched the original, it just didn’t stick with me, but this did pretty well. The first episode wasn’t too bad, the second was bad, but the last 3 made me really wanna continue watching especially since I grew up with Josh Peck and Hillary Duff
duuuuuuuude, just go watch the original
@@muhammeddonmez530 I did lol, or at least I tried too. I gave up a before the first season ended cause I didn't really like it.
Hey Vee you should talk about futurama and what the future might hold for the future since they announced a revival or reboot of sorts
But…
I don’t think HIMYF can have a barney-like character. The character will be too offensive in this current social climate.
How here after seeing robin on How I Met Your Father
Only good thing about it
Couldn't get into it. Tried the first five episodes didn't stick with it
i cant say i agree with you at all actually.
They´re never gonna have an acting talent on their show, that´s gonna top Alyson Hannigan though... I´m sorry, but that´s just the truth..................................................
Hilary Duff.
Hey look! A Lilly fan 😂
@@riddlz814 Not particularly! See how I wrote "Alyson Hannigan"? And not "Lilly"? That´s because she was just the best acting talent on How I Met Your Mother! OBJECTIVELY!
@@giovannigiovanni.7220 Sorry, but after my research Hilary Duff hasn´t even been in a SINGLE thing, that would interest me. Gossip Girl, okay, MAYBE, if someone forced me to.
Alyson Hannigan has been in TONS of stuff and I loved ALL of it! (ok, well, not "ALL" of it, but at least I didn´t HATE Date Movie........)
THANK YOU FINALLY FOR SAYING THIS!!!
i think this whole first season was garbage especially compared to the original show snd how AMAZING of a first season it had. the ending of the original first season was done so well.
If you haven't watched Lizzie McGuire then please do then do a video on it
Can you do a video on the Spider-Man 1994 tv series because it’s one of my favourite and I would like to hear your view on it
did you finish the series?
I grew up with Josh Peck and Hillary Duff too
I’m selling the same thing Josh Peck and, yes, getting some severe, leading man status like he’s beautiful now like what happened.
I’m sorry! But the only thing that saved it for me was when Robin showed up on the screen. (Which is sad because it was during the last episode!)
That was the first time I laughed while watching HIMYF.
Robin’s tone and delivery really is a contrast to how cringey every other character acted through out the series.
I do hope it gets better if they get a season 2, but so far, the show’s only watchable because HIMYM fans are waiting for cameos from the original cast. 😥
This show is really great
the show has a lot of potential...the characters are nice and they can really make a good chemistry
how much they gave you ?
im enduring this just for the ending.
I don't know when that series will come in my country to Disney+
I googled the friends thing just wow
This man is the king of unpopular opinions
I love it though, how he can just dive into - FULL PASSION - into completely unknown territory....
I wish, he would take his time with that same energy and watch all 39 episodes of "Nadia - Secret of Blue Water" now......... lol
His a leftist bro, his gotta promote their shows...in b4 you claim his actually a "social injustice" warrior ...because that's his stage name...
Where's his COVID video if that's the case ? Exposing the governments lies....
@@truthwooph4083 Where’s your COVID video, you clown? Surely you have tons of actual evidence for your claims, and aren’t just an ignorant troll pulling stuff out of their ass? 🤡🤣
It's like NYPD Blue, the first season of that is vastly different to the rest of the show.
Idk if I love it but I definitely don't hate it and will be finishing the season at the very least
As of now I'm predicting that when the show ends it will have a twist akin to the original's but not exactly the same. I think it will be revealed that Ian is the father, but Jesse is who Sophie went on to marry.
The better question is when do they start shoving leftism down your throat ....probably season 2 once you're already been Hooked !?
You said its bad and its only been five episodes.
I still don’t care for most of the cast storylines, they don’t weigh enough when nothing developed from the jump. Even the cameo was awesome but lackluster because of the way it was executed. Here’s to a better season 2! 😄
Are you shitting me? Is this real? Is this like another Young Sheldon situation?........
Yea this lazy cynical cash grab exists...and a guy who's stage name is ...social injustice warrior...is reviewing it positively....I'm being trolled
But Young Sheldon is actually great. This show is pure crap.
@@TheFourthWinchester Wow, is it really? I mean, usually time has shown that I can trust Vee. However, totally agree on Young Sheldon, though! Thanks for noticing!
I love this show so much can’t wait for season 2
No way you thought Ellen was the best. For me she was the worst made me stop watching entirely, only reason I got back is cause of Robin, but she felt kinds unnecessary
I think this show have potential.
I'm 8 episodes in and have laughed exactly once.
Why, any sane person would ask, would any sane person go 8 episodes in having laughed only once?
Good question!
At first I wanted to see why I didn't like it. Then I wanted to see if it would get better.
Finally, I decided that I didn't care if it was funny IF it explored believable relationships.
Now...now I've suffered from the sunk cost fallacy.
What a moroon!
yeah the first few episodes were awful and it got a LOT better from there with a lot of subverting expectations. weird how it's over already, but glad it got renewed. I actually kinda LIKED how they did tie ins with the original series. even if it felt a bit forced, but honestly the intros are often forced in sitcoms. so it doesn't bother me much.
Its okay still finding its footing some jokes are really cringy still not as good as the og but it's decent okay
I actually love this show
Yes this show is really great!!I just want more flashback escenes like HIMYM
Damn lol, cancelling my very much existing "why vee infuso sucks" video
Wait, this is going to be a multi season deal? I thought this was going to be a 10 episode and done thing.
Honestly... I mean, I haven´t even watched this show yet (so my opinion probably isn´t worth a damn!), but just gathering from this video "summary"... Like, genuinely: Do you not see, that at least as far as male characters go, these are complete carbon copies of Barney, Ted and Marshall?? Heck, even the actors looks fit their counterfeits! DON´T YOU SEE THAT??
Like 8:08 Marshall, Ted and Barney, left to right!
Barney´s thing was also, that he was 1/4th Canadian! Whoa, what a surprise?? Ethnic stereotypes!!........ Please, just leave me alone, until you come up with something better / more interesting...........
10:56 Like, SERIOUSLY!! That actor TOTALLY looks like Neil Patrick Harris and Justin Timberlake had a baby! How can you not see that??? ...............
We’ll take it from someone who’s been watching, it sucks, but you can always see for yourself
He does see it... but his a liberal pretending too be a conservative...so he ignores it, and hopes we won't notice
Funny the British guy is my favourite, has the best lines Imo. Maybe it’s because I’m Irish and American humour doesn’t always do it for me. Also like Ellen though
The brittish guy doesn’t have a name? I always see people refering to him like British guy.
Damn. I don't know people like this, I am people like this 🤦♀️
COMPLETELY agree HIMYF IS REALLY GOOD
