The shed was a huge disappointment
Y4123 it was to build up hype and it worked. It’s a business tactic. It would’ve been different if they said what was in there and nobody would’ve cared and the coasters wouldn’t of been as popular in the coaster community.
I know this is off topic but I am afriad of roller coasters and I have been trying to get over my fear of riding them I have been on two starter coasters which are the back lot stunt coaster and venture express but I have been thinking about riding this one and the problem is that I don't know if I should because I'm afriad it will hurt my stomach like bigger roller coasters have done in the pass

I live like a mile away from kings island and under certain weather conditions ( mostly after rain) you can hear Mystic Timbers going “don’t go in the shed”
It would be funny if you have a shed, just go outside to grab something in the shed and you hear in the distance "Don't go in the shed" lmao
Oml that would be so annoying, I live in Dayton so I live like over an hour away in rain like in the fall to Haunt Fest, but if it's like summer or spring then it takes like an hour.

I believe this is exactly what King’s Island needed: a coaster right in between kiddie and big. But it’s more closer to the bigger coasters.

I feel like one of those coasters are adventure express. It is really slow to me. Especially after riding the banshee or something
GDmITE , Height requirement isn’t based off of intensity. It’s based off of how the trains are designed.
@@bridgett7292 I try to hit Banshee and Flight of Fear back to back. Mystic Timbers is pretty fast for its size.. Adventure Express is a walk on ride...but still a ride
For people who are upset about the shed, I was too at first. However, when you ride it you realize the coaster makes up for it big time and the shed it just a small added bonus
They just shouldn't have hyped it up. The fact that they thought it would be a good idea to hype it up is kinda sad quite honestly. If They'd said nothing about it the ending might have seemed a little cooler than if people were going in expecting something awesome and only getting a mediocre screen experience.
Roller Coasters take a long time to build. You don't realize how much effort they put into it.

This ride was freaking awesome! The vid doesn't do it justice, it's got great airtime, forceful turns, and it really hauls! The theming was actually pretty good too, the shed was aesthetically pleasing. The only disappointing thing was the actual THING you found inside the shed. If you are planning a trip, don't judge this until you ride it.
Plus now that it's officially summer and the trees have leaves it makes it harder to see the layout. It's a great ride !
James C true, the mystery was cool, just like the first time I rode The Beast.
If I were designing this ride, I would have made the shed area be the ride exit, with a ghostly voice saying "GET OUT" as the ride harnesses popped up. Only 1 staffer in the room, in full costume. The exit doors would lead to a walk-through experience zone kinda like a haunted house, but still keeping the rural-horror theming. Creepy horror movie sounds, etc. Then, a leadup to a chase scene would start, with actors going "He's coming! Get in the car!" and that would be the entrance to a 2nd ride, a dark ride with jump scares and animatronics. The killer would be revealed as an actual mystical creature, not a freaking snake. It would be the world's first and only coaster that combines 2 rides. I'd be rich. BUT, I didn't design this ride, I only posted my million dollar idea on RUclips, so Disney is gonna steal it and make the money.

I don't see it working. It's enough of a chore to slug through the shed and it's only 30 seconds. Good luck getting people to waste even more time on that convoluted idea. Might be better in a dark ride or a boat ride.
Or make it classic Loveland Ohio with an old Gunpowder factory theme

We need more wooden coasters like this. I rode this in the 2nd row and it was super smooth.

Ryan Mai El toro looks fun, but I don’t think it can give a better night ride! Though I will agree, the beast can be a bit overrated, it’s still a fun coaster, especially at night!

From the swooping first drop to the shed, this is a GCI beauty!!! Relentless. Thrilling. Never let’s up. Never lets you go. Top notch woody coaster!!!
They shouldn't have made such a huge deal of the shed when even the designer said it was just a way to keep people entertained while the next train loads. The ride itself looks like a great coaster.

The coaster itself is a straightforward and basic out and back layout with a fairly unique first drop for a wooden coaster. Adding the shed helps it to stand out among other intermediate coasters.

When this coaster came out I thought the shed was WAY overhyped. The coaster itself is amazing. And now, after 2019, the shed itself isn't that bad either. It's better than sitting in the hot sun on a boring brake.
This coaster seems to make airtime out of nothing at times. Fantastic layout.
When me and my friends rode this we were jamming out to the music in the shed and became besties with the monster
I found this ride pretty quick, but I think the shed was a little dissapointing. Especially for waiting as long as we did. But what I'd think would be cool is in the shed, as soon as the creature pops out, instead of going into the station, the floor drops beneath you and you fall down to a pit of darkness and go into a dark tunnel ride (creatures lair) just an idea.

Amazing ride. It provides insane airtime, sometime that the beast lacks.
Rode in the back seat at night a couple days ago, and believe me, in person it is way faster than it seems in videos. Super smooth as well. An of course at night it's a totally different ride. (back seat may have made it better too) Not a bad ride! Of course it's no Beast but its definitely fun. Tho I'll admit, after months of waiting to see what's in the shed and expecting a scary surprise, that part was kind of a let down lol

I got to ride this twice on August 16th. Most people were either at school or at Soak City, as it was very humid that day. I'm telling you, it was a ghost town. Beast, Diamondback, Face-Off, Top Gun, and Mystic Timbers were all walk-ons.

I just rode this ride yesterday and at first It looked like a kiddie ride, but when I got on it.. I WAS WRONG! (Except for the end)

this thing packs a serious punch in such a short amount of time. The airtime is monstrous.
I just rode this 08/25/18 for the first time. Easily my most favorite. People constantly complaining about the shed...which is king's island's fault by advertising "what's in the shed" so much. Yes the shed is lame but the ride before it is downright amazing! For me it seemed on the borderline of being more extreme like diamondback or banshee and less extreme like stunt coaster. The speed of it alone is what blew me away...none of the videos can do it justice and lots of points with air time. I ended up riding this 6 times and 4 of those were in a row. It's one of those rides that do not let up with something else happening like the air time hills etc. The best way to describe it is Short but sweet.
I've been on the ride multiple times and I'm convinced the shed has multiple endings. Sometimes bats fly out, other times it's nothing, the second time I was on it there's a giant bat monster type thing that flies through the "doors" of the shed on the screen and jump scares you
I rode this for the first time yesterday and this thing was hitting it, the first drop startled the heck out of me from it being hidden and the speed on this was incredible. Nice ride for a short coaster
Great ride!! A lot more intense than I expected the first time I rode it. I was completely caught off guard. Probably my favorite rollercoaster at KI.

I say underrated because most of the publicity and reviews talk about the underwhelming shed story finale.
I call it overrated because everyone calls it No.1 in the park and I don’t agree there
I rode this for the very first time today. I opened my eyes and put my hands up after going down the first hill. According to my dad, I looked super pale while waiting in line. I was scared. The projection I got in the shed was the snake. I did not expect it to bang on the projected doors. That scared me. In conclusion, I now know my new favorite ride.
Every time I go into the shed it plays total eclipse of the heart 😅
Best part of this ride was the S-Turns! They were amazing😉

Hope u do it's great. If u have a gold pass but didn't go this year you can to winterfest(until dec 30) because(even tho it's cold) mystic timbers is open but isn't the only ride open(it's the only roller coaster open)! But like u said theres always next year lol

This ride is super fun at night! My friend and I even rode it twice in a row while it was raining (at night of course) really made an amazing ride even better :)
2 years later, the shed has grown on me.
My best friend forced me to go on this (buddy system at my school)and I cussed her out,lost an earring, blacked out, slobbered on her and said my last words all on one ride...(PS if you Gert on this ride you'll need to get a locker for your bags and they cost money)

Did it have anything to do with, perhaps a school trip? I know my district went on the 30th and it was raining all morning, and this was my first coaster I've ever ridden. So at like, 10 AM this thing going at like nearly 60 with that 90 degree drop made me chicken out on the rest of the rides except for Racer. At least my stuff got stolen so I could spend the last 4 hours doing that.

Basically the whole shed thing is a troll! The ride is based on a fictional logging company that purchased the land and construction was halted due to unknown occurrences back in the woods. The ride itself is said to be as good as the Beast, and it is, but the whole "what's in the shed" is just a troll to get u to ride it. Inside the shed is a fake setup of ur typical shed for a logging company; tables, tools, lights, music, etc. And just as the cart is leaving the shed, u can see what is causing the lumber company all the problems. It is a great ride, but the whole shed thing was thrown way out of proportion compared to what the park produced. It was similar to a situation where the trailer of a movie made the movie seem good when it really wasn't. Some believe its design was a more modern spin off of Adventure Express; the very last part of the ride is a tunnel with a strange perplexing secret inside. All in all, the ride is great and could have been done without the disappointment of what's truly inside the shed.
