Hi Wendi, you are putting forth such an attractive and appealing format for anyone who has any interest in the lives of all the friends in or out of the organization. We have nothing but thanks for your efforts and David’s and all the many friends out there doing an amazing rescue and awakening of all who would love each other! It produces so much joy. It inspires us to continue and advance in what we can do locally. Much love❤!
Another great video, I really appreciate it. It’s kinda funny how some from the outside can instantaneously see how dangerous the shunning policy is. So sad, as a JW I thought it was totally normal 😢
Thanks for exposing this dilemma. I have found that the angle of approach could make a difference. Combining the accusation of hate crime with human rights violation, packs a greater punch. In addition, some lawmakers have to be redirected to focus these accusations at the controlling organization and not individuals. Although individuals may violate some rules without consequences, organizations that formulate, propagate and enforce the aforementioned crimes, bear a major responsibility their effects on peoples' lives.
What really makes the shunning bad is when someone is disfellowshipped by elders enforcing THEIR OWN OPINIONS, rather than actually having a scriptural precedent for doing so. The JW’s boast about their adherence to the Bible but as many people have testified; most of them had no intention of displeasing God or the Christ; and still loved teaching about the Kingdom hope. But because 3 stooges that call themselves “elders” decided that the person offended THEM, and not clear violation of scripture: they shunned the person and slandered them by announcing to the congregation that the person is “no longer one of Jehovah’ Wirnesses! It’s an act of blasphemy in my opinion to say that their decision is “God’s will”, when the Bible does not paint Jehovah or Jesus with that kind of thinking! So then, because of that stupid decision by the elders, everyone in the congregation and their family thinks that this person has left Jehovah, and doesn’t want to please him anymore! In many cases, that’s simply NOT TRUE!!

Is Shunning a hate crime? Just the legal two cents worth, the answer is no, but it could be conceived as a religious harassment, but everyone is up against the First Amendment, remember the First Amendment protects 'Freedom of religion" too.
