While there are many room corrections out there, and actual roads to get to Magic Beans, some might have a Umik-1 already, or might not need the miniDSP 2x4 HD because they only have one sub. But needless to say these are the tools one might get along their journey, to Magic Beans. What do you have so far in your system? What do you think you will need yet to calibrate with Magic Beans? Joe, FYI, the Denon x3800h he mentioned has four subwoofer outputs, so he doesn't need a miniDSP. Also, he would be able to purchase Dirac Live bass control.
Obviously, use magic beans with Dirac Live if you think about it. The MiniDSP price, plus $200 for Audyssey, I would rather buy Dirac Live with bass control.
