FYI Parking mode is for detecting if the car was hit it’s a shock/movement. It will automatically record.

Great content. As with all cameras for security, when the vehicle is turned off, all power receptacles shut down,so you can't have continuous looping. Have any pointers as to where to find a constant power source to get around that? IE:Fuse #, etc.

I have a 2014 Mercedes Benz 250C Class it makes a loud squeeze noise from the driver rear wheel when I driver for awhile. What is it?
Prior to the '99 SLK, I had an '88 C4 Corvette with the digital dash. I miss having oil pressure and temp readings. Does anyone sell a sensor/gage unit that can be installed in the SLK to at least read oil pressure?
Nice, I ordered and received, thank you! I just wished you showed us how to run the wire for the rear camera into the back trunk area and wire to reverse hot wire feed and pick a good location to mount the camera to get the best video feed. I have 2007 S550 and a lot of the trunk area is covered with carpet panels with clips, so now I have to tackle the rear camera mount and wiring with little to no clue.
I will release that part of the video this week. Cool?
iRepair Autos Thanks! That will help lots of people, I just finished mine, and it took me 2.5 hours to find a way to run the wire to the trunk and longer to find the reverse wire. A lot of clips and screws and panels to remove and to hide the wire! Thanks to you that motivated me to start the job!
@@donharris1615 when you hooked up the reverse wire, how did it function for you in reverse? I had to extend my reverse wire as it was too short.
iRepair Autos I had enough wire from trunk camera to reverse wire to the taillights assembly
iRepair Autos It finally worked so when I shift the lever to reverse, the mirror beeps and rear picture is on the mirror screen as it should.
power feed... how about patching +12V.Key from inside the OVERHEAD CONSOLE harness.
Make a 1Ft "USB 5VDC" patch cord from a "12to5" down converter.
This will hide the cig-lighter cord.

Keith my 2006 SLK won’t move. Automatic won’t engage. Could the problem be a wheel speed sensor?
When you say it won't engage, is it not going into gear?
iRepair Autos yes.
I can move the shift lever to reverse neutral and drive but the transmission will not move the car in any direction.
Hmmm. Do you hear and or feel it going into gear? Is the check engine light on?
iRepair Autos no check engine light but have speedtonic error and ESP error on message screen.
Sorry Keith, I am fan, but I got to call you out on this video. You're starting to get a little lazy with the installs. You barely showed how you installed it and told us that you didn't want to bore us with those details, but then you didn't really do much of a review either, other than to show us some of the features. I mean, does it have parking assist lines when backing up? Does it go into a rearview mode when you put the transmission in reverse or do you manually have to turn it on to show the rearview manually each time? If it does it automatically, did you pull power from the rear backup light so that every time you go in reverse the unit immediately goes into rearview mode? If you're not going to shows us the full install, at least address these issues. Otherwise, this is no different than the countless other product unboxing videos that are out there.

The rear-view mirror is a rear view mirror. It shows the rear all the time.
With that said...
I get a lot of complaints... look in the channel... About my videos are too long, my videos have too much detail and they just want me to get to the point etc. I can't win with you guys. LOL. Remember I'm doing this for free. Tons of folks saying a billion praises when the video helps them with their solution and no donations. I'm not looking or begging for donations or anything just keep this in mind. I haven't been feeling well during this time.
Thoughts of shutting the channel down has come to mind.

My air vent grill is broken and they don't make a repair kit, you have to replace the whole unit. Thanks!
