Thanks for watching my video! Here’s the link to the project on Kickstarter: bag.gg/BoundaryArris I’ll see if I can get Brandon to give us a message about the Kickstarter stuff. 🍻 happy travels 🤘
Hey Chase! Thanks for the review on the ARRIS System. We are very excited to be able to offer a product like this to the community. It has been years in the making and we can't wait for everyone to test theirs out. With that said I also wanted to make a note that while we agree that past pre order campaigns have not gone as smoothly as we all would have liked, I can promise that we have made a lot of big changes to the company the past few months and we are looking forward to providing a better experience over all. Thank you everyone for making it possible to bring products like this to life!
Chase u have done tremendous work im super fan of you, gained alot of knowledge about one bag travel thanks to you just from watching you talking about bags!!! Keep up the good work,I might be like you in the future reviewing bags 💼 and help others decide! You motivated me to
@@BoundarySupply What are these "big changes" that are going to magically fix everything? This sounds a lot like the vague promises from the last few campaigns when people were waiting for their stuff. Sorry dude, but we needs specifics if we're ever going to trust you guys. This approach of spewing encouraging-sounding language in reply to anyone raising a concern is just more of the same that you've been doing. Be honest, be transparent, earn back our trust. You make great bags - but so do a lot of other people that we're all more comfortable sending money to.
Thank god people have backed this project. Otherwise those of us waiting on the previous project would never get our products. It’s not a ponzi scheme unless you’re the last one in. Everyone complained about BS supply issues when the arclite/ageis preorder was released. Bs made the same claims that they are making now - things used to be bad, but we’ve improved, we promise, blah blah. There’s insta posts from 6 weeks ago saying the slings are finished and due to be shipped to their warehouse. And posts from a few days ago saying exactly the thing. How can we care about things like bluesign when BS’s ethics are so poor? Man up Chase. If integrity and social capital matters, we can’t support organisations like BS just because their product is ok. There’s many many other options.
Hope this kickstarter gets the funds so I can finally get Arclite, was told it would be shipping on Thanksgiving of last year and then New year's. Its February and at this point I lost hope of ever seeing it.
LazGato totally. Probably get it Xmas 2021. Lolol. It could be the greatest sling in the world, but as Chase is often saying, it’s how we interact with these products that brings us happiness; I won’t be able to interact with it in any sort of positive way, small details will be major issues. I’ll probably flick it as soon as it arrives. BS - never ever again.
I love how Chase is always so enamored with magnets like they're some sort of sorcery that he discovers for the first time, every time. so amusing to me
Dang, I was so close to grabbing the sling bag pre-order on their site but extremely grateful to the comments posted here on Boundary Supply's after-sales service. Been using my Nomatic for past year and was looking forward to options provided by Boundary as the quality and reviews by Chase all seemed promising.
Chase they must be paying you a lot to review this bag given the abysmal service they provide. I considered the Errant but after seeing the worldwide experience with this company I refused to be another statistic and went with a Lowe Pro adventure pack. I’m very pleased I did.
In other news, 15:52 might be the best "business papers" bit Chase has ever done... Just about lost it when he picked up his coffee cup to keep thinking 😂
Man, I don't think I could listen to anyone else for 30 minutes about one bag but you. You are so good at what you do! Been a long time subscriber and I am not disappointed. Thanks for what you do man!! Your Insta's the bees knees as well.
Howdy Chase. Great review as always. So I'm not the first and won't be the last to point out the absolutely abysmal fulfillment and customer service history that Boundary Supply is known for. I'm a former victim of theirs like many in the comments. What's most infuriating for those of us who've been around since the Prima debacle, is that BS is all over these comments touting these "big changes" they've made again with zero specifics. This was the same type of empty promise that most of us would receive every time there was another delay, only to find out later there was yet another problem. There is no shortage of bag companies using kickstarter to launch new products, and none have had the repeated failures that BS is now known for. So I gotta ask Brandon from the aptly-abbreviated "BS": what are these "big changes" that you've made that you're sure this time are going to fix everything? Have you moved your manufacturing to a USA shop? Have you replaced Elena the insincerity robot with an actual human customer service person capable of replies that are specific to the actual questions being asked? Did you find some new way to track fulfillment from the factory all the way to our doors? With BS now as synonymous with disappointment now as they are with bag making, we just need a lot more than "big changes" to trust that we're not buying into another nightmare.
Boundary bags are some of the best designed and most functional bags on the market, at pretty amazing prices. However, they seem to be completely lost when it comes to supply chain logistics.
Hi B! Thank you for the kind words on the design and value. We are dedicated to ramping up our supply chain to match the quality seen in the product. Thanks for the support!
That is almost word for word what I was going to post. I loved my first-generation Prima System, and after 2 years of owning it I decided to add some overpriced accessories, part because I wanted them, part to support a good brand. But man, it took a full 6 months to get all of my order finally delivered, and at the cost of an 80-message e-mail thread. First articles took 2 to 3 months, then some of them were not the right ones, were replaced, one of *those* was still incorrect... an incredible mess. I have the Peak Design travel bag showed in the video and it's absolutely fantastic (except, I agree, for the straps that could be more comfortable when loaded with 10+ kg of stuff). And it was delivered in no time... That said, the Boundary products themselves ARE great, I love the concept of the attachable sling, feels like the right size/volume/compactness for it to be very versatile, and the attachable hip pack on top of the backpack makes a lot of sense too. The backpack in itself looks inferior to the PD travel bag, but the accessories look awesome.
@@PierricDescamps Thank you for your support and trust extended to our team. Your buying may not be as smooth as the others, but rest assured that we, here at Boundary Supply, ensures that our products are made and built to last and sustainable. We look forward to being a part of your more travels and adventures! Safe travel, always!
Boundary supply gear is really good and thought out, BUT all of their kickstarters have been / are a nightmare! I am a super backer myself (more then 100 backed projects) and the ones by Boundary supply were and are the worst...more then 6-8 month delays on delivery, the customer support is a nightmare and you never get "real" answers when your gear will be produced/recieved and shipped! Because of that terrible customer support and the constant delays without any given rhyme or reason and no straight forward answers by boundary supply I will definitely not back this bag! => Eventhou it really does look amazing!
Hi Onno! I totally agree that the past campaigns have had a lot of unforeseen challenges and they did not go according to plan. This is not the experience that we want to provide and we are committed to improving this. We have made great progress behind the scenes with a complete overhaul of our fulfillment and we are focusing on supply chain management to reduce pre orders moving forward. We hope we can earn back your trust.
Please do a travel bag showdown! Main card should be Peak design travel bag vs Boundary Supply Arris vs your Pakt travel bag. This needs to happen and it can only be you!
Hi Colin, Thank you for your support! I agree there is a lot of room for improvement over past campaigns. We are making big changes this year and its with your support that it is possible. Thanks again!
@@LazGato Yep still waiting on the Arclite... supposedly shipping next week but we will see. Took me like 3 months to get my Prima system, god damn do i love that bag though.
I don't really care about the customer service of this company because I already have the Peak Design one, but I do want to comment on the awesome editing and camera work in this video! Nice pacing, interesting visuals, great presentation of the bag.
As everyone else here in the comments have pointed out. While a lot of their products are innovative and have interesting design elements when it comes to shipping and actually getting the products out to customers it's been awful. I backed their Chase pants in September and have yet to receive them. And when I backed the Errant backpack I had issues with payment and their system. I've had problems with ordering, payment and shipping with them. There's always going to be some hiccups with Kickstarters but this seems to happen to all of their products.
Hi! Thank you for the support on the Errant campaign! I agree that things have not gone as smoothly as anyone would have liked previously but there have been a lot of changes here over the past few months and we are dedicated to improving our supply chain, fulfillment and over all experience. If there is anything we can do to make things right please let us know. Thanks again!
@@ThorbjrnBomholtBroThunderBear thanks for checking out the Arris Pack, you can help us bring this project to life by making a pledge at www.kickstarter.com/projects/boundarysupply/arris-adventure-travel-pack-modular-accessories/description
Another superbly presented, entertaining, comprehensively informative review. So well done, I really appreciate your work, it's the best in the business. With regard to the Boundary Supply Arris Travel Pack, I just enrolled as a supporter in the kickstarter project, so I'm super hyped about getting this system offered by Boundary Supply. Thanks again, looking forward with great anticipation to your next review presentation. L'chaim and aloha!
@@BoundarySupply , thank you for offering the opportunity to partner alongside you on your exciting journey in creating a wonderfully designed travel pack! It's thrilling for me to play a small part in helping bring this work of art to full bloom. Thank you!
Get out while you can! I pre-ordered the Arclite sling bag back in November and still don't have it and it's almost the middle of March. Had similar issues with my Prima System. I would not waste any more money here.
@@blue5had0w , I'm sorry that you experienced a longer wait time than you expected, I'm sure that can be disappointing, but I'm not under any time constraints, so I have the luxury of being unburdened by any anxiety, restlessness, impatience, or sense of unease with regard to delivery dates. Thanks for taking the time to share your concerns, I always value informed input and impressions that others have acquired through their experiences, so I really appreciate it. Cheers.
@@blue5had0w I am sorry if this is what you had experienced. Boundary Supply takes full responsibility for the delays in fulfilling orders, and rest assured that we are working double-time to get everything sorted out. You can message us at info@boundarysupply.com if you would like to get the complete details of your order.
How is it that they already have a kickstarter going when I haven't even gotten the Arclite sling bag that I ordered last year. Been 5 months and still in the dark and now they have a new product? For anyone searching for a backpack beware of Boundary Supply. Do your research first and unless you willing to wait for half a year or more from what other customers have gone through, you buy at your own risk.
Dude....I'm in the same boat....I hate it. It's so ridiculous....I hit them up again last week and they said it SHOULD BE shipping in March....I'm over this though....I hate it.
@@pianoman9187 welcome to Boundary Supply... where we push the Boundary of delayed shipping! It's nothing new with Boundary! I've supported them for the original Prima and then Errant... so seeing a year delay to get item is normal.
Here's my personal experience with Boundry Supply and why I would not be backing the bag even though it looks pretty sick. Some time ago I was looking at the errant pack and decided to buy it. As soon as I did I saw from Chase's review that the bag would not have the capacity I was looking for. Cancelled the order and got confirmation of the order. A few weeks later I was sent a box from Boundry Supply. Inside was the Errant. Important note* That box was haggard and the packing was too, the bag definitely looked used. Boundry Supply reached out to me and asked me if I could send the bag back. I said sure I didn't pay for it. Here's where things start getting really dicey (I know the random send of the pack could be considered that but not to me) I asked them for a shipping label and they said no. They said ship us the bag and we'll send you a reimbursement. WTF. I actually live in Salt Lake where Boundry Supply is and just decided to take it over. For which they MADE ME SCHEDULE an appointment to do so. Nobody there communicated to each other. The lady that was running point on the operation wasn't there and didn't tell anyone what was going on and so I had to sit there waiting for somebody to just take the damn bag. Now fast forward to maybe a month ago. Another random box shows up at my door. This time it's one of their compression bags. I never looked at a compression bag of theirs didn't even know they had one definitely DIDN'T ORDER ONE! A few days later I get an email asking me to send them the bag back. I said I wouldn't until I spoke to a manager because this was getting ridiculous. I needed to know they weren't charging me for these things. I was told there was no one to speak to. I told them very plainly this is an error on your end and I wouldn't be shipping the bag back or bringing it back in unless I got to speak to someone. To which they replied we'll charge you for it. MORONS. Important to note. I don't think they take care of their "Customer Service" I'm pretty sure they outsource it. The conversations I had were filled with oddities. Also they asked me what was sent so that they could charge me for the product, I'm not an idiot I didn't tell them. Anyway long story, but I don't like how they are running the ship over there, which is honestly a huge bummer. They're local to me and I'd like to support that, they use amazing materials and seem like they are innovating...
Hi Brandon, I am extremely sorry that you had this experience and want to make this up to you. I can assure you that we are making massive improvements in this area to avoid this unacceptable type of service. Please reach out to me directly anytime, I want to make this right. Brandon@boundarysupply.com
Their customer service is second to none, in being a little prick. They market themselves better than the other outdoor brands like Marmot and Arcteryx, while refused my return request when I found their boundary supply prima system backpack has serious issues in carrying cameras. I got so tired of them and just placed a charge back on my credit card. This is what you need to do to these people when they're being completely moron.
Sounds similar to my story. It is a long one but I’ll make it short. After waiting six months beyond the promised delivery (purchased retail, not Kickstarter), I decided to cancel the order. After two weeks of back and forth, I got the refund. 1 month later, the bag shows up at my house. I emailed boundary and said to send me a shipping label and I would send it back. They said They would. I emailed 2 more times asking for a label. Crickets . . . Still have the bag. The way I figure it, I repeatedly did my due diligence to get them the bag. I now have a bag I don’t really much like.
Doubt I’ll be ordering anything from them again. I ordered the arclite sling in November and still haven’t received anything. I reached out to them 3 times. First time got no response. Second time I was told they’d be shipping in January. When that didn’t happen I reached out again to see what was going on and was told it’s been delayed until February but it’d be shipping in early February. Well it’s the 25th of February and I’ve yet to hear anything so that was looking like another lie. Beginning to think about just requesting a refund.
Hi! Thank you for the pre order on the Arclite! They are finished production and are ready to ship to our fulfillment center. We know there was a much longer wait on these and we are focused on improving the supply chain. I promise the wait will be well worth it! Thanks again!
Same as you bro, been waiting for the arclite for 5 months now. Tried the refund thing, but the funny thing is that my order number can't be found, even though I can log in into the website and literally look at my order. Type the number needed for the refund , and nope not in the system, so I lost money there. Hopefully you have better luck than me.
I love Boundary’s gear, but I will never support one of their Kickstarters ever again. As apologetic, as responsive, and as helpful as their support staff was and is; the fact remains is that they at times lied to the backers about what was going on and continued to do so up to the very end (as of December I saw Kickstarter backers still waiting to receive their Errant packs even after people were getting them from the store, not cool). Transparency seems to be Boundary’s biggest problem. If they can deal with that, and sort out their terrible shipping and fulfillment issues (some people were paying taxes on things that were supposed to be tax free and some folks couldn’t get their bags because of a massive tax that kept their bags waiting at the post office and then returned without notice) then I’d probably go back to them as I do love their products.
Hi Americo, We appreciate the feedback and are working to improve that aspect of the experience along with many others. With products this complex there are a lot of moving parts behind the scenes with many suppliers involved. We do provide the most accurate information available but in a live run things can come up that affect the info. For this reason we have been working to streamline the pre ordering of more materials and adding in larger margins for error. Thanks for the support on previous campaigns and we hope to see you back at some point. If there is anything we can do please let us know.
I want to love boundary supply, I thought about getting the errant for a long time but after ordering the chase pants in October 2019 and still not having them (feb 28th 2020) I'm not confident in their supply chain and shipping/ordering logistics.
Looks like a great idea, but I'm losing trust in them with their ability to deliver before I can withdraw from my 401(k) without penalty; I also think they fooled you (and me!) with the Errant.
Same. The errant sounded great, but isn't really pratical. Edit: The Errant just wasn't big enough. It wanted to do everything. But there were too many pouches at the end, taking away valuable space. I like the back a lot. Really comfortable.
I understand your worry and we are dedicated to improving wait times and our fulfillment. Over the past few months that portion of the company has been completely over hauled. We greatly appreciate your support!
I truly love your videos. I love bags! And I love the vibe and info I get from your videos. Currently, I am trying to decide between the Black Ember Forge, Peak Design Travel Backpack, and the Cotopaxi Allpa 35 or 42. I have watched each video multiple times and am still on the fence. I look forward to your bag release bc I know how passionate you are about it.
Vid Feedback :- I loved the fast paced section off the bat - great addition. Still love your long winded rambles however, don’t lose them completely. Thanks for fulfilling my bag-obsessions without me having to spend the cash! :D
Unfortunately for us, Chase reviews only their products and not their customer service. In my opinion, he can’t say anything on customer service as a consumer. Lucky for him he gets the product sent to him before it’s released to the masses. Most of the product he reviews from Kickstarter are pre-production/prototype. He doesn’t experience the wait for a kickstarter project to ship. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate and love the reviews on the product. Maybe one day he can give a full Kickstarter experience review. From funding, production, shipping, etc.
I usually dont need a bag but I watch all your videos just to bright my day, I wish I could be so positive in life as you are. "Hola" from south america
Chase! You have the connections! Please design a camera/hiking bag made from X-Pac material with the ability to go multi day! Im talking 4 - 5 day hikes- not these little day hike bags! Someone has to do it! Lets get on to it! Come on! Something like a Seek Outside backpack made for heavy loads but with cameras in mind! Im excited lets do it. This took me ages to type so you better read it!
We are improving our customer service to offer more constant updates on outstanding pre order and to offer a much better experience over all. Let us know how we can help.
I absolutely love your videos, awesome reviews!! I've gone down a Chase Reeves wormhole the past few days. So many bags, so many decisions, so many business papers man
AER travelbag 2.0 is atm the best for me. Backed for Nomatic Navigator 32 l, but rather have Boundary Supply Prima System 3.0 (if they do something with void under the camera cube).
I've waited several months for a product that was listed as in-stock and shipping (all of those products they've now discounted 30%, which I'm apparently not seeing any benefit from). They won't return my money and they repeatedly moved shipping date. I've been given a round-around. They also referred to their Term of Service document when first raising an issue on shipping/refund. This TOS is not part of the purchase process and not readily displayed on their website. This is as short as I can make my horrible experience with Boundary. They flat out need to stop lying to their customers. There is no way in heck I will ever send money to Boundary again, and I would directly advice against anyone dealing with them.
Similar experience here. I did not pre-fund a product, at least I didn't know I was when I purchased on their site though they later tried to claim I had. 4+ months of waiting, after failing to meet ship dates BS said they would meet, and them not being able to produce documentation that the TOS were presented to me I decided to initiate a credit card dispute. Went through all the details with AmEx who agreed it was a legitimate dispute and immediately credited me back the $. I let BS know I had filed the dispute and within 3 days BS provided a refund. So there is a way out if you want it. I don't know if they received proof of the dispute being filed aside from my email but to me it signaled the company knows they have no leg to stand on. And also that they aren't willing to do the right thing until absolutely forced to. So agreed, not sending money their way again.
Deciding between the Arris and GR2.... Ideally, would like to be able to use as an occasional large EDC for when I have to pack a lot of gear. Interested to hear thoughts and opinions.
Geez, after reading these comments, I won't be ordering a Boundary product til they get their act together (I wish you luck in conquering that quest, Boundary!). Chase, can you review the Recycled Firefighter 12 and 24. They are super responsive. I write an email and I hear back within a day (of course, I'm not arguing about their bag going south and wanting a refund). Those two bags might work for us 'lil people for EDC (female, 5'6," short torso). Would love to see a review of the 10 and 15 Goruck Bullets too (Hmmmm. I hear Goruck's quality is going south???). Short is beautiful (17.5H max). P.S. loving my Tom Bihn Synapse and 22 Synik - thanks to you - and I don't feel fuddy-duddy. I feel sophisticated, sleek and sexy (your take on the Boundary. They're lucky they have you rooting for them.
Also Chase, check out the Aer Travel Kit. I opted for this one over their Dopp Kit because it's a lot more slim and it's fantastic. Definitely worth checking out!
We have the next run in transit. If you need an update on your specific size and color please reach out and we will assist. Our live chat on the site, FB chat or info@boundarysupply.com Thanks for the support!
Awesome production Chase! Man, if Peak Travel married that back harness, and found some dark multicam x-pac to play with; I would be done. Boy I hate nippo clips. The more I used them, my hatred grew (on the Errant). Peak... Yeah, the problem with those straps, particularly if you are 6'2.5" and about... uh... 210lbs is those straps are short and cut in when loaded up. A little wider, longer and more dense would be great. Man, I'm excited for you with the BackPakt. What a dream, huh? I hope you will share more of your experience in later videos. Have a great day!
Looks like a super solid bag, but reading through these comments is daunting. Sounds like I'll buy one when they're actually in stock and shipping. My Setout Divide will hold me over until then.
Casey Hardman sorry, but keep your money or use it to other purpose that does not give you unnecessary anxiety of having to wait for a product from them
Hey, great review! Are any of the Arris accessories compatible with the Errant pack? Like the Stasis Sling or the Hemp Cubes. Reading through this comments makes me think about cancelling my Errant :x
After reading all these negative comments about Boundary, I feel like I should weigh in. I backed their Prima system and got the bag after a few months (can’t remember how long) in Australia. I have absolutely no issues with the bag and I love the materials they used to make it. I love the Arris design and would definitely back it if I had the money which unfortunately I don’t. With Kickstarter campaigns you’ve gotta have patience which is the only advice I can give. And no I’m not paid by Boundary to write this comment.
@@ProtoMarcus If only it were the papers! But on a serious note we are making some major improvements in both areas to avoid unexpected issues that can arise during live production projects.
Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired on pre-orders. Getting stuff on Kickstarter or waiting for general availability has actually been a better experience for me personally.
Love your reviews. I bought the Tortuga Set out Divide after seeing your reviews. I have enjoyed everything about it except the front pocket. I just gave it to my daughter who loved it while traveling Europe this month. What slightly larger bag would you recommend for my next bag. Maximum 36 liters.
Looks like a solid bag - I’m quite interested in purchasing this bag however, boundary supply seems to be lacking customer service skill sets. I would have already placed my order but have questions. Boundary Supply doesn’t answer their phone - doesn’t answer text messages and doesn’t answer Facebook messaging.
Looks like an improved Peak Design Travel pack on most important points, except maybe that it doesn't expand to 45L like the PD does. 1. I don't think anyone would contest that BS clips are wayyy superior to PD's sternum and waist belt attachment system. I wish PD would have just copied them (would be fair game with all the inspiration BS seems to take from PD :p). 2. A proper comfortable back and harness system ! 3. The slim sheet with a zipper opening that covers the main compartment fixes one issue I have with the PD, which is that sometimes you just want to get to your laptop or get something from the main compartment but when it's packed full, the sides tend to collapse and stuff falls out from the main compartment. This feels more secure and usable while in transit situations.
WAS Almost Sold on this, yet I notice there is no cushioning or any structure to the bottom of the backpack, so if I place camera bodies - they will get damaged probably as nothing protects them
Chase I'm looking for a tech organizer and a wash bag decent quality at a budget price that will fit nicely into the top portion of my REI Ruckpack 28...any good recommendations? Chat is also welcome to help...no leather or wool.
Hello Mister Chase ''Business Papers, Man'' Reeves I'm hijacking this video's comment for a little request - I see that you did a review on the Venturesafe X40 a while back - would it be possible to review the _Pacsafe_ *_Venturesafe EXP45_* ? Also if possible² - the *Econyl* version? Now back on topic - thanks for the ARRIS review, and thanks for getting Brandon's attention! He's been hard at work replying to many many comments from this video!
Good looking backpack with quite useful features. But it seems like Boundary’s costumer service and their supply chain are pretty bad. Which is unfortunate because they do have some really good products. I only own one of their products, the Errant Pack. I’m very happy with it. It fits all my stuff and has great quality. I ordered it and received it only four days later here in Germany. So it seems I was lucky. But the company seems to make so many promises to it’s costumers that they can’t fulfill which is just bad.
Hi Aaron! Thanks for the support on the Errant pack and the feedback. We are making a lot of improvements in those areas, we are highly focused on improving the overall experience. Thanks again!
Seems like the obvious solution to the front pocket problems would be if the zipper of the top pocket had a bend making it into a wide upside down “U” shape so the zipper would kind of fold out of the way of your hand, then either have stretch gussets on either side of the front stuff pocket or just make the whole front face stretchy. Looks like a cool pack other than that, but I really detest hard to access pockets so I’ll probably pass on this pack.
Don't bother to order, it will be months before you even receive it. I been waiting for months for a item that was supposed to ship last year before Thanksgiving.
With the construction the pack is best when moderate-fully packed. With that said you can easily compress the bag with the included straps for a streamlined look when its close to empty
H Chase thanks for another amazing review! Quick question mate... i can hear how noisy that material is, how annoying does it get after a while? thanks
Just to add a slightly different voice to all the Boundary Supply customer service rage -- I bought an Errant pack from their website (*note: not Kickstarter) when it was still on pre-order. I sent 1 email after I noticed the pack came off of pre-order status on their website and within a few hours received an email notifying me that my order had shipped. I got it within a week with no complications and have been extremely satisfied with it. I also have a friend (the guy who first told me about Boundary Supply) that had one of their Prima backpacks from the first Kickstarter. A strap or something broke on it, and when he reached out to customer support they sent him a whole v2 Prima pack as a replacement for free So just to say that not all customer service experiences with Boundary are a nightmare (this doesn't discredit everyone else's negative experiences with the company, but I wonder whether all of the positive experiences get written about)
Thank you for the support Ben! While I totally agree with the issues echoed above, and we are working to constantly improve this year. There are also a lot of positives seen from our new changes but those aren't written about as often so I do appreciate that. I am glad to hear you're enjoying the Errant, if you ever need anything don't hesitate to ask!
As an Errant backer, I have to say the only issue was really the wait. As for saying the bag was disappointing, this couldn't be farther from the truth for me. I love it, and use it daily and for traveling. Ordered some add-ons from the store that came within the time frame and, as the Errant, great products with great quality.. All of the products I've bought deliver exactly what they are supposed to and for me much more! The Errant is filled with pouches and interior organization that "eats" the space within... great, I'm glad it does... live with it!... coz that means it keeps the same awesome look from the outside. And those pocket and nooks are useful for options, you don't have to use them all at once as they have different purposes for different situations. Same with the add-ons as most of them can be used separately and completely on their own. Decided last August to get the Arclite and Aegis. Yep, still waiting on those, but to be honest, I don't mind the wait coz they will arrive and when they do, I'm sure they will also deliver in quality as expected... Great products and great value. As for Boundary replies here, make the Arris a better ride and most of your customer complaints will disappear... Improve the client service, and they will go away... just two problems solved and your company will stay in business much much longer!
I also received my Errant in a timely fashion. But when I ordered the Prima System it showed that it would ship dec 15 2019 which meant it would probably get to me before Christmas. Great right? Well, till this day I have not gotten the bag. I was also told it would ship Jan, then Feb, now they say mid March and I was also refused a refund. I think the problem is that the service you and I received with our Errant purchases should be the standard and not the exception.
Going to join the chorus of voices saying that their supply chain logistics and their customer service are a nightmare. If you buy from this company you WILL experience getting the go-around with 7 different customer service reps, you will wait over a month for your stuff when you're told shipping would take 8 days max, and they might randomly run out of stock of your item despite the fact that it was in stock when you purchased it. My errant is nice, but I would never support this company again.
Hi Shannon, I completely agree that our fulfillment had some serious issues. This has since been completely over hauled and we are currently working on streamlining our supply chain to minimize production times. We have also expanded customer service to provide a better experience moving forward. We hope to see you give us another shot in the future to show you what we have been working on.
@@blue5had0w looooooooool exactly. Should've just given customers what they paid for. Why would anyone sink multiple hundreds of dollars again into something that was a crappy experience the first time? "Give us another shot" is the least compelling argument. Side note, no shame to Chase's channel I love his content, this is all Boundary.
@@blue5had0w I am sorry about the delays in deliveries. I know it was not an ideal experience, but please know that we have bulk shipment en route to our Fulfillment Center and is expected to arrive this mid-March.
This bag seems pretty great...wonder how much it's going to be. *Edit: 330* Now I'm curious if they'll ever sell it separately without all the stuff I don't want for a better deal.
They start the marketing of the erris but they didn't even ship the arclite sling yet... It has been delayed until April... It was first due to December 19. What th heck?! No communication at all @Chase: these behaviours will taint your reputation ... I know that you just review the quality of the bag but be careful with that brand. Love your content but they have a real problem...
How does the sling actually gets attached to the bag? Both you and boundary videos always show the attachment on the top, but...what about the bottom of the sling? Is it just flapping around?
And most importantly...can you show us how and if the sling is compatible with the errant pack? They say at boundary that it’s compatible, but no videos yet...
@@francescopossanzini3059 It can't be compatible unless it's the same length as the AUX pack, you will leave the bottom just dangling and not attach to the backpack.
Ashrak Ahmed they actually posted a photo on a Facebook group of boundary (boundary BTS) where they show the sling can be attached to the errant. It’s a bit funky but it works
Mega Cool, but 4 pounds ... I travelled with airlines who allow 8 kilos as cabin luggage - thats 16 pounds and with a 4 pound bag almost nothing :'( Ok... and a personal item like a laptop pouch. Surely the price of this bag makes me crying too :-D
Hi Jennifer! The harness is perfect when carrying the weights associated with single bag travel and heavier photo gear. It is extremely comfortable and adjustable with light and heavy loads and on a wide variety of sized people.
You motivated me to
Boundary Supply u guys amazing!!!! Not only great products great design but u also u made big changes in the company for us!!! APPRECIATE IT!!!!!
Hey Chase, love your videos - they're great. Would the Arris fit the Peak Design camera cubes? I worry the bag isn't wide enough.
Almost backed this bag, until I read the comments below... thanks for saving me the shipping headache everyone!
Spoiler alert: Chase meant to review this bag in 2018 but due to "supply issues" he only received it in 2020 😂
LOL. This is underrated comment.
Yep! Because they never deliver their kick starter projects on time.
I was prompting him. Out loud! 😆
It seems a good looking bag made with blue signed materials. The best thing about this bag is adjustable torso length.
After backing the Chase pants and still waiting like many people, I can't trust Boundary to deliver on anything Kickstarter
Hi Colin, Thank you for your support! I agree there is a lot of room for improvement over past campaigns. We are making big changes this year and its with your support that it is possible. Thanks again!

Not just the kickstarter stuff. Anything on their website can go that way... too bad, such great products.

Oh dear...I will stay away from this, although it appeals to me.
Here's where things start getting really dicey (I know the random send of the pack could be considered that but not to me)
I asked them for a shipping label and they said no.
Just. Wow.
You got lucky in that you got something. I been waiting for months to receive anything.
LazGato It ain’t right.
Boundary Supply I’m happy to hear and wish you guys only the best. I still believe in your products and love your innovation.
@@KerenWang total agree. uiser experience isnt great

Holy!!!! Prototypes already sent FOR REVIEW!!!!😍
I also was refused a refund after requesting one when I found out they wanted 3 more months to ship. You’re not alone bud.

Really like Boundary's designs and materials. Can you do a more in-depth review of the Rift pack? Like how you would pack it.
Still waiting for Chase to use the pouch's opening as a puppet mouth for saying, "papers...business papers, man".

Hey, great review!

i had fun the whole time watching this
After reading all these negative comments about Boundary, I feel like I should weigh in.
Can you do a review on their duffle please
Great bag. Great channel! I love your energy and enthusiasm! Thanks!

'MAGNETS, how do they work'
Rocking the Cotopaxi Allpa 35 for travel. Really digging it. Gotta get better at packing less though cause I really pack that sucker out.
This isnt a GORUCK, that's the best bag and customer service
I just cant decide on a bag. I need a bag store to look at them in person. Matterful brick and morter anytime soon?
i just want to know more about the updated kathmandu litehaul 38l!
Me too!!!! I’m getting ready to order one and need to know if I should just wait.
haha I'm in the same boat. I might email kathmandu and push for details.
Never stop. Magnets. Papers. Business papers.
Best "business papers man" yet
{bows deep}
I WAS going to watch this video until I read the comments, now I won’t even recognize this brand. Lol
Hello Mister Chase ''Business Papers, Man'' Reeves
I'm hijacking this video's comment for a little request - I see that you did a review on the Venturesafe X40 a while back - would it be possible to review the _Pacsafe_ *_Venturesafe EXP45_* ?
Thanks again!
it reminds me of my Osprey Farpoint 40...nice pack but i prefer mine.
I'm sold on the bag, sucks it's Nov before they ship though. Need one in Apr, guess I'm finding something else
Don't bother to order, it will be months before you even receive it. I been waiting for months for a item that was supposed to ship last year before Thanksgiving.
You need to review some mountainsmith bags. Grand tour and world cup.
Is there a Minaal Rolltop review coming?
The back looks great.. when it is full.. I worry that is going to look very floppy when is half empty and the top pocket is filled. Any thoughts?????
Oh yea, I wouldn’t plan on carrying the bag like that for sure.
With the construction the pack is best when moderate-fully packed. With that said you can easily compress the bag with the included straps for a streamlined look when its close to empty
H Chase thanks for another amazing review! Quick question mate... i can hear how noisy that material is, how annoying does it get after a while? thanks
Not annoying in my use. Less annoying that loud zipper pulls, for example. And ridiculously functional.
WHERE IS THE BOUNDARY SUPPLY AEGIS REVIEW 😭
the arclite sling is literally a whole fiscal quarter late of "estimated delivery date". HAS ANYBODY GOTTEN ANY OF THEIR STUFF DELIVERED BY THEM???
Got the Errant a little under a year late, other material versions took longer. Meanwhile Peak Designs delivered their travel bag a month early
@@donniemacneil3804 If you remember with Errant they launch those Packable Towel, only year and a half late!
This looks like a dope ass bag
This was really helpful and very spirited lol
I'm confused with the comments lol, can I buy this bag anywhere or 🤷♂️
Hello Chase. Any news regarding your collaboration with Pakt?
“You gotta stimulate the nipple and then you gotta try to get it in” - Chase Reeves 2020
I love It 😍😍😍😍
Just to add a slightly different voice to all the Boundary Supply customer service rage -- I bought an Errant pack from their website (*note: not Kickstarter) when it was still on pre-order. A strap or something broke on it, and when he reached out to customer support they sent him a whole v2 Prima pack as a replacement for free
So just to say that not all customer service experiences with Boundary are a nightmare (this doesn't discredit everyone else's negative experiences with the company, but I wonder whether all of the positive experiences get written about)
Thank you for the support Ben!
What is the north face bag in the background? I can’t find it anywhere.
@@BoundarySupply How will we ever be able to know when you're logistics are up to par? Still waiting for my arclite.... from last year.
Hyperactive Tendencies what you really need to worry about is if you do decide to pay for anything from them.. will you ever receive it? Lmao
How does this compare to the Cotopaxi?
Amazing review
I was kind of concerned for second there wasn't a space for my uh.... my... papers... my business papers?
It seems the Boundary Arris could be more comfortable to use than the Peak Design.
Boundary Supply Arris… when you want to sound like you packed your clothes in a giant potato chip bag 🥔 🎒
Hi! The Sling has its own set of gated hooks at the top and bottom to securely attach to the lash points.
The harness seems like overkill for only 35L.
Hi Jennifer! The harness is perfect when carrying the weights associated with single bag travel and heavier photo gear. It is extremely comfortable and adjustable with light and heavy loads and on a wide variety of sized people.
